The Truth About Seeing the Matterhorn: Swiss Alps and Zermatt Travel Vlog

Zermatt, Switzerland in the Swiss Alps may not be all that it is hyped up to be. Hiking to the Matterhorn may not be as simple as you think with the weather in September. Here are a travel vlog of our experience trying to see the Matterhorn.
If the weather had been better our hikes/itinerary would have involved:
- Lake Stellisee and the 5 Lakes Trail
- Gornergrat to Riffelsee and Riffelberg
- Lunch at a scenic alpine cafe (plenty of options near the top of the funicular Sunnegga station.
Something we wish we knew before visiting Switzerland is that most of the popular hikes BEGIn at the top of a gondola, train, or funicular which cost $$$ to get up.

Awesome video 🙂If the weather is this bad, a lot of people check whether it is better in ticino and stay there - often the clouds get caught in the mountains, and after going through the tunnel to the southern alps the sun shines!
