Based on timing, we were thinking of going in April but had second thoughts about the weather so possibly try to go in late May or June (this year or next). Great video by the way. I have to wade through a lot of videos before I bump into a polished one like yours.
Thank you so much - we really appreciate the feedback! We are learning as we go but very keen to share our passion for travel and help others where we can. Well let us know if you do end up going and what you think!
Hey great news you will be heading to Zermatt. We were actually there on the 1st and 2nd of May. It can be sunny during the day some days but of course depends, and the evenings the temperature drops.
Thanks Jim - I really appreciate the feedback. The Gornergrat website says its open 365 days a year - you just need to check the their time depending on the season you travel. More details can be found on the following website :) www.gornergrat.ch/en/pages/timetable-gornergrat-bahn
Yes! Its actually quite easy, you just have to take a train to Visp (about 2 hours) and then switch trains, and take another train from Visp to Zermatt (about one hour and its a very pretty panoramic train!)
I’ve skied there in June and July many times. But the last time I skied was in August many years ago. Unfortunately global warming has had an impact and even though the ski runs down to Trockner Steg were open the run ends well short of the cable car station and there were visible cracks on one of rheumatoid arthritis runs on the glacier. Still worth it though.
🎉great VDO with all information for get around thx u.
Really appreciate the comment 🙏
Nice Place 😍
It really is!
Thank you for the video. What days in April were you there?
It was in May this year. Cold at night but when the sun came out during the day it would get warm. Are you hoping to go?

@@theoutofofficetravellerit’s open 366 days but not all for skiing. Summer skiing is at the Klein Matterhorn side.
May I know how to get from Milan to Zermatt by train?
