I now own one. A Gold Tone mandocello (not doing an ad for G.T,) however I do play a number of instruments and this one is a bit large and heavy but a good tone. I'll be back in 6 months to a year and let you'al know how I'm a liking it, thus far it's large and heavy for something in the mandolin family. Think large body guitar A/E with 8 strings.The sound is ok to pretty good so one on the positive side. If you have one already and are a player add your thoughts also please.
Something about an instrument with that many holes in it makes me wonder. You where out rabbit hunting with your buds and the hare jumped into this yonder piece of wood so you blasted it several times, brought the hare and the wood home, eat the hare and cut some wire from the barn and nailed it onto the wood piece and been playing around town ever since as the holy man, hare less, night time, soober maybe, music man, right? Oh my God, I misspelled "without liquor! Let's see...
