Hey Wolf, thanks for sharing this review, I got a Harley Benton tenor, I tune it like a mandolin, with the high E, but this tuning sounds cool, you get this celtic vibe immediately. Tell me please which model of K&K pickup did you use? I use K&K's for my acoustic and my mandolin, they're great, but I don't know which model should I choose for a tenor. Greetings from Poland!

I just noticed you say 265B40, with a baritone neck. You also say $1,104. The standard 365 is now on sale for $849 minus $180 discount through Aug. 31, which looks like a very good deal. I'd like more about the why of baritone neck and whether that explains the price you state.😄

I think the tenor guitar is so underrated. I'm also interested in an 8 string octave mandolin with guitar body but those are spendy. They play kinda like 12 strings but less muddy.

I've been told I can get one, for additional fee, set up for nylon strings and tuned to GCEA. I like the softer strings and uke chords. What do you think?

You could use Clifford Essex Light Gauge GDAE Ball End Phosphor Bronze (or Nickel) wound Tenor Guitar Strings (11, 16w, 26w, 36w) so you could get a nice Mellow Jazz tone.

Hi, nice demo on the Breedlove Discovery CE Concertina "Tenor" Guitar w/ Nylon Strings. Have you ever tried with 1st 4 strings of a Classical Guitar tuned DGBE? Same as Baritone Uke? Only tenor guitar nylon string option out there are the 23” scale Pono’s in Hawaii. Expensive and narrow string spacing. I have 2 Blueriidge string tenor guitars. Necks are just too skinny. I have been a bass player since 1968 - so need fatter neck. Your Breedlove demo is what I have been looking for. Just wasn’t sure if the skinnier DGBE strings could drive the top for volume/bass. Thanks for your help!

Hi Wolf I thought I recognised that tune from your Recording King Tenor guitar demo, I first heard it sung by the great Dick Gaughan from Scotland, check out his version, it's stunning, I think its from the album "A Handfull of Earth" but you'll find it on UA-cam. For a soft case i have bought one for 3/4 guitar , and it fits perfectly for my tenor . My tenor is a hand made imitation of the Fender teletenor, but with some different features . If you do not feel satisfied with your soft case , go on Thomann site , and buy one like mine . I agree with you about the bridge. I used 10s & 11s tuned to DGBE - I often knocked the bridge out of place & found it difficult to get proper intonation. Everything else was good.

A friend of mine just bought one of these. I have owned a lot of high end guitars, and this tenor guitar plays and sounds like a much more expensive guitar than it is. Dave in Montana

As a baritone ukulele player, I find that most tenor guitar necks are too narrow, they have guitar string spacing instead of the wider ukulele string spacing. I struggle with the narrow string spacing.

You where out rabbit hunting with your buds and the hare jumped into this yonder piece of wood so you blasted it several times, brought the hare and the wood home, eat the hare and cut some wire from the barn and nailed it onto the wood piece and been playing around town ever since as the holy man, hare less, night time, soober maybe, music man, right? I’m a uke player I wrote a whole new demo on a baritone ukulele but I want a fuller sound for my demo, the baritone uke just is too airy for this demo I want a much fuller sound will be adding drums and bass to it. I play folk pop stuff. Will be playing in dgbe like a baritone uke. Was between this and the ibenez one but I think this one sounds better. I’ve been playing a modded short scale guitar to electric baritone ukulele Conversion for some time but really want that acoustic steel string tone.

really like the sound! I have a Harmony tenor guitar that I’ve hardly played until recently. I tried to post a fuller story about it, but UA-cam barfed and wouldn’t take my comment. check out ua-cam.com/users/howlinhobbit and the tune *Nobody Knows You When You’re Down And Out* should be towards the top of listings. it’s the first “public performance” I’ve done on the tenor. it’s tuned DGBE so the shapes match what I play on my ukuleles.
