- Hello everyone, today I am building every single states' tallest building, including Washington DC! This video took me quite some time to build so I hope you enjoy it! Let me know down below how well I did at recreating your state's tallest building!
For anyone interested, the mod that I used to extend the height limit is called Shattered World Limits!

21:08 Overview of all buildings
Before anyone comments telling me I did their state wrong, consider this...
I built each states tallest building, and I consider a building to be a structure with habitable space for most of the height. This means structures like the Gateway Arch in Missouri and the Stratosphere in Nevada would be disqualified from building-hood since they don't have usable floor space for much of their height. If I went by height completely unrestricted, every single states' tallest thing would likely be radio antennas.
The one state I know that I got wrong was Hawaii, the actual tallest building is the Central Ala Moana, which is 2 blocks taller than what I built..so sorry Hawaii. :(
Texas has a new tallest building under construction I think. Waterline Tower in Austin. Same with Florida, the Wardolf Astoria Miami.
It’s alright! I as a Hawaiian says it’s fine!
Well, for Georgia, I can tell you your recreation of the pencil building does not look exactly right. I live in Atlanta, where that building is located, and I see it all the time. The cone on top of the building is not solid and is actually a framework that is a brownish, not grey, color. Also, the spire on top is golden, not black.
I'm not angry or anything, I think you actually did a good job. The top of the building would be impossible to re-create accurately in Minecraft, so you did the best you could. The goal was to accurately represent the height, not necessarily the ascetics, anyway.
What do you mean the stratosphere doesn't have usable space its a full casino on the inside
YES
Should do a “tallest building from every country” and if it takes too long it could be done in parts
ive thought about doing that already lol
@@Bubbaflubba ah ok I’m new so I didn’t know but 👌

Fun fact about the "Superman Building" (Rhode Island): It has a zeppelin docking bay at the top because the architects thought that blimp/airship travel would be the next big thing. Then the Hindenburg happened and that feature was left useless.
That feature was also made at the top of Empire State Building.
Wow that’s really interesting. I remember hearing somewhere about how people in the past predicted the future, and they seemed to think blimps were indeed the future.
Not to start an argument in UA-cam comments, but I'm reasonably sure this is a misconception/urban legend based on the executive suite having been given the name the "Gondola Room", as it was intended to resemble the gondola of an airship. The lighthouse-esque spire is a design that pays homage to the seafaring nature of the city/state, and so far as I've ever been able to gather, was not built to be a mooring mast.
That said I would like to answer the in-video curiosity about the name "Superman"--it's thanks to a passing resemblance to the Daily Planet building in the Superman comics.
The Hindenburg didn’t kill airships and the docking bay idea was already long dead before the Hindenburg disaster.
Native Rhode Islander here. I actually didn’t know that about the Superman building. Thank you for that little tidbit!

As a former resident of Arizona, I can say you got the Chase Tower spot on. For those wondering how tall the building is in real life, it's 483 feet tall, and has been the tallest building in Arizona since its completion in 1972.
I mean it says it’s 147 meters on the left, if we were curious we could have done that ourselves
@beansuop8te125 I put it in feet since there's always going to be the people who reply "What's that in feet"
and its NINE feet short of being listed as an official skyscraper. so tragic.

Sucks that Colorado's tallest building is Republic Plaza when two blocks over is the iconic Cash Register Building, which would have been cool to see the Minecraft version
Thank you for these cool building ideas! I am likely never going to build such a scale, but I noticed certain design details that I really liked and will implement in my own builds. The indenting of windows and ledges I think add a touch of depth into tall structures that I never really considered.
This is amazing!! Your builds and the details look wonderful :)

Especially when the snow is covering the Chugach Mountains…I do miss how nice the downtown “skyline” looked against them.

As a Pennsylvanian I'm proud our building made it to the third place. The Comcast tower is in Philadelphia. In Philadelphia you can find a ton of other very tall buildings that are around 800 to 900 ft.
Could've had more if it weren't for the stupid rule they had where they couldn't top the city hall
It's awesome that the best state in the nation got in the top three!

Coastal Alabama native here! I work in the RSA Battle House tower and the “Battle House” part is named after the historic Battle House hotel. The RSA tower itself is connected to the main wing of the hotel and the first seven floors of the RSA tower are an expansion of the Battle House hotel. The rest of the RSA tower is just an office building owned by Retirement Systems of Alabama. It’s a weird setup but it’s really interesting.
Also the second pronunciation of the Beau Rivage is correct.

#15 (Us traditionalists still call it the John Hancock Building), This Boston landmark was known as the "Plywood Palace" the year it opened. Not too many UA-cam videos exist, but the wind tunnel effect caused by this building, and the Prudential nearby, caused the windows to literally get sucked out of the Hancock. The building literally almost looked like a plywood skyscraper until they fixed the design issues with the windows.

You killed it with the Key Building! Good work
I loved this video, I’d love to see a video where you decorated the interior of these buildings!!
Dude this has to go viral, the effort here is insane.
Our building in Atlanta really is a giant pencil. I found it absolutely bonkers that up until last year I thought Atlanta was a big city since I only visited surrounding cities in the southeast like Charlotte, Orlando, Daytona, and Panama City, and then I went to New York City and San Francisco last year and this year respectively and realized how tiny my city was. My jaw dropped seeing how big the One World Trade Center was from the Newark Airport realizing it was basically half a building taller than ours in Atlanta 😅
Atlanta is still a large city... yes New York and the bay area outdo it, but 6 million in the metro area is still a lot
I dare you to build a city like that again with all the top buildings in each state but put some of your buildings like a different cities of each state like every single building of each state in each city. That would be nicer.

19:47 Interesting fact about the Sears Tower (or Willis) it was the tallest building in the US for 22 years in a row. Also technically it's the second largest building in the world currently (weird right), apparently the O.W.T. is not considered it's actual height because the spiers are made from a material they don't count in the systems
It would be the tallest in America if it was the highest habitable floor
Edit: I have been proven wrong
The thing is it's not the tallest in America, but Guinness world records (or whoever does the records) doesn't count the signal spiers because of the materials they are made from. Look it up (I don't know the specifics)

I'm from Cleveland and worked in Key Tower. It's a much better looking building than what was displayed here. It's rose-colored marble. And it's part of a complex that includes the Marriott Hotel. And they kept the bank (Society for Savings, built in 1889) as part of the new building and is still operating as bank. They cleaned it up but still retains the look from that time. I loved working in that building. If you saw the John Grisham movie, "The Rainmaker," the building stood in for Great American Insurance Company and I believe Key Bank's board room was used during the deposition scene.

@@Carter130 there are several in NYC that are taller than the Trump tower inc Chicago. Central Park Tower is even taller than Sears Tower, and several others in NYC are also in between Sears Tower and Trump Tower
@@michaeljones155 ah, my bad. I’m not sure how I got the trump tower as second. But the Sears Tower is indeed taller than Central Park tower. The Sears tower is 1454’ (442.3 meters) and 1729’ (527 meters) to the tip. The Central Park tower is 1417’ (431.9 meters) and 1550’ (472.44 meters) to the tip. I admit, I’m wrong on the trump, but the Sears tower is the second tallest in the United States.
I really wish you built the entire building from detroit. That would have looked insane.
You deserve 100K!!
These builds are insane
It’s so difficult to make a video both educational, entertaining, and addictive yet this guy has succeeded with flying colors!! 💯
Jersey City Council members is considering the bill, old enough.
Such is a common practice-aortic question that in this area where opposition parties, including some who oppose a government shutdown issues, logic is often the answer for a question about whether a president is willing or unable. 😅
