I remember watching this and thinking wow I can never be like you, that time I was on a leave of absence and not really wanting to go back to uni. I only got 58 in my 2nd year, 61 in third year and was petrified of failing or getting a low classification (they count towards my degree 20% & 30%). But then I went on and continue my 4th and final year then I got an 80 in my master's dissertation, firsts in my exams, and courseworks, 1st in my final year. AND miraculously an overall, 1st class degree Master of Pharmacy! 3 days on I still can't believe it that I did it too, a first 😊❤️

i don’t think there is anything wrong with saying you topped the year, you worked so so hard to achieve what you have done and we’ve all seen that. It shows that anything is possible if you work hard, you definitely deserve this💓
Yes! That is what makes this extra fun - we have literally seen the hard work. Not fad-methods, not "Oh I just read something once and it sticks" - but actual hard, writing, re-writing, doing the boring step by step work to learn things in the best way possible. Last year this video was the reason that my semester average grades went from 50% to 80%, and only few students get 80% where i study, and i'm not joking when i say it was the reason, it inspired me a lot, i craved good results so much i got obsessed with it, bc my first year was just like you, i was questioning what i'm doing and where i'm heading, so i went from that to have THIS grade, and it made me feel this kind of pride, i cried from happiness the day it came out too, and it was my first time to know what it feels like, the feeling that you are capable, that you made what many many people couldn't do, to think that you are not on the average side of this world..
and this year between all the motivation videos and youtubers i watch on a daily basis, i remembered this bc of how it was something stuck in my memory; and wanted to pay a visit to have another boost of motivation, i'm doing good but we're human and we get lost sometimes, so thank you thank you for uploading this on the internet and being the hard working smart person you are, you're an inspiration

Women are always taught to be modest and humble over being honest, especially women in the sciences who so often have imposter syndrome. You shouldn’t have to hide your results for fear of other people thinking you’re arrogant, especially when you aren’t. Say it loud and proud! 1/152 is amazing! You work hard and you deserve it.

A big part of getting into medicine is the interview, so possibly Holly needs to work on her interview performance. Its not just about grades anymore because everyone who gets to interview stage has good grades.
Sometimes it just boils down to competition. There are many incredible people who apply for medicine too, and in the end a portion has to be denied, unfortunately.
so yes, as others have been saying, it is not just about grades or academic scores. it is so much more than that, and i feel that my interview pulled me down. i was also at a disadvantage because i had not yet completed my degree. but the main point is that everyone who gets to interview stage has done so well in their exams, and therefore each and every person has a good chance at getting in to medicine! this also applies to jobs and other applications. as i have mentioned in my video however, i am so glad i was rejected because it has made me grow as a person and really think about what i want in life!
I am so happy for you, I am going to watch this like everyday for motivation. I'm actually nowhere close to uni yet, after 3 years of being and feeling directionless and failing many A-level resits, you could say at the moment I am starting from scratch with an online distance college. You inspire me so much!

I just got my dissertation back and got a 79! It’s worth 30% for me so I am praying the exams were good enough to average a first. But like you I never believed I was good enough for university or that my grades would ever be okay. But giiirrrrrlllll you smashed it ALL!!!!!
