I've wanted to study medicine for six years now, but I didn't have the grades so I became a paramedic instead. By now I had kind of given up on my dream, my biggest fears being that I would never be good enough to be a doctor and I'd probably be struggling with studying again after such a long time, but watching your videos has somehow changed my mindset. Writing the number of points under the question on the front of the flash card is genius. I keep seeing videos saying to write an individual flash card for each point, and I never know which point is on which card because they all have the same question, and I have to go through each point anyway to get the correct answer. I am in my late 50s and learning a foreign language. Thank you so much for this tip! Excellent!

The main difference between developed and developing countries are this, if you want to study in developed countries, you can study very well. In developing countries, it is very tough to study.
The focus should be on obtaining knowledge, developing critical thinking, broadening understanding. If your focus is on being number one and being constrained by structure you will have missed the point of academia and lowered your intellect. I struggle to see how any of this is congruent with a growth mindset. Finally with respect to memorisation, this does not result in deep encoding into longterm memory. Understanding rather than memorisation creates stronger encoding in long-term memory facilitated by the hippocampus and develops a complex network of related schemas and maps.
I really wish it were like this, but unfortunately (at least for me), it's not. I'm a med student, and it doesn't matter how much I try to connect things and go more in depth, 70% of the things are just things to memorise..
You're so so motivating Holly. Just because of you i could get back on track with my studies. You're so positive and will be waiting for more study secrets videos like this!!! Love you loads ❤️💕😊💜
Yep healthy growth mindset is the key for success, I agree with this. I also benefited from it in my module 1. Before and submitting assignments, I also cried quite often when I saw the feedback from my supervisors “ need improvements”. But it was strange I didn’t want to give on my tasks!!! Thank you for your sharing!!!
I would love to see a video about how you pulled out the information from the papers and turned them into your notes. And can you show some of your notes? Digital and on paper? You are a great inspiration!!!
I know this might seem like a trivial question but perhaps I’m just abit anxious about asking my lecturers... you mentioned how you would write essays and send them to be marked ? I’m assuming these essays aren’t assignments so I just wanted to ask if you ever had any lecturers turn down your essay or not mark it ? (Maybe because they didn’t have the time or just didn’t want to ¿) and how did you go about asking them to “mark” it or review it ? I’d really appreciate any advice !
I would ask the lecturer after class. You can try saying, "please, if you have some time this week, I would appreciate it if you corrected this essay that I wrote". Don't worry too much about asking them. It's their job to teach you and help you. I'm sure they would be happy to help. : )

SHE A DANCER AND A TOP STUDENT
You should genuinely do a bloopers videos showing all the bloopers cause that would be a straight 20-30mins comedy show on how one sometimes just doesnt use their brain😂❤
Excellent!
You missed the most important one: be conscious of what you actually want to do and the time it takes. Once you do that you spend less time on your phone. Also, sleep enough hours. Responsability and discipline consume energy!

The main difference between developed and developing countries are this, if you want to study in developed countries, you can study very well. In developing countries, it is very tough to study.
Goodluck for your master's degree! You're truly an inspiration ❤
Literally if I get the same power as holly ❣️❣️has , my all academic and career problem will be solved...
This what I needed! Thank you Holly!!
no worries at all!
FIRST!!! YOU ARE THE BEST HOLLY!
Can you do a vid about how you studied in high school or how you got into Cambridge? Love your vids!!
Actually very helpful!!!
Thank you Holly for saving my exams with these inspirational (and practical) methods😍

That’s amazing!! Thank you so much!
I can’t wait for your new academic year journey!
I would love to see a video about how you pulled out the information from the papers and turned them into your notes. And can you show some of your notes? Digital and on paper? You are a great inspiration!!!
sure i can think about doing this!!!
Holly!!! I have been waiting for this video for a long time!
Holly I can’t say how much u helped me with new ideas to dig into studies. Simply Thanks from my soul 🤩
