    Another amazing video. I'm curious about your steering technique though - particularly the aggressive turn-in no matter which car you drive. Common sense dictstes that it will unsettle the car and/or not extract maximum grip from the tires, but it seems to work really well for you and those are damn fast times! Cheers.

    great results. i suspect some will think otherwise, but keep in mind this car is running on *stock power*. my guess is weight isnt down much at all either considering that beautiful cage.

      Dylan Sorenson exactly. I think weight is just under a stock example, rule set states 2400 minimum weight with driver.

      @@ALMX5DP I think the cup car weighs 2100 lbs without driver and weights. added driver and weights need to meet 2400 lbs

    He did a 2:32.6 in the stock 2020 Club, so 12 seconds faster in the Cup car

    What's the difference between 68K base and 80K as tested. Seems like these cars are supposed to be pretty much identical. What are you getting in 12K upgrades that don't give you an advantage over the base car?

    Man, I'd love to have my hands on that steering wheel.
    Shout out to Race Engineering, those guys know what they're doing....and the engine under the hood of my car can attest to it.

      Haibo J yup might be the same as a friend has on their NC for autocross. Quite a small diameter if I remember right.

    I dont understand what the base price is about. Wouldnt it be like 30k?

    • @marcelskaterkid94
      @marcelskaterkid94 3 роки тому +1

      30k is the base price for the street car the other 20-30k comes from at the safety equipment race spec parts and labor to assemble the cup cars

    Barely faster than the street legal fwd family car a.k.a CTR

      Pretty impressive to me seeing as it has 130 less horsepower and 150 less torque. Plus the Miata will do that all day, whereas I suspect the Civic would start to heat soak or have brake fade or have tires grease up.

      Very impressive little package. Anyone who thinks some hot hatch is actually the same as a race prepped car is only needs to see what happens to a street car after 10 laps. Boiled brakes, rads and a set of tires to start.
