Casey you should focus more on the road Camera because it makes it easier to follow the course and whatnot. You could always use the facecam in the corner with the main camera being the road cam.

Do it, it's an amazing daily and track car, but I would recommend waiting after covid. I bought my 2016 off a salvage auction almost 2 years ago for cheaper than they're selling now. Also the clutch is amazing, I've taught a close to 10 people how to drive stick on it and almost half of them didn't even stall.

And I grin and say thanks for taking us along for the ride, Casey. And that series should hire you as their pitchman or announcer or something, like driver of the camera car for Wide World of Sports.

Thats very reasonable for entry level racing. There a canadian series that use the Nissan Micra which is about 25-30k. I was told you could do a whole season for about 150k thats excluding major rebuilds from crashes, which is very worth the money if what i was told is true. Considering budgets that are required for the other series that the MX-5s share events with, you wont find a better bang for your buck. The North American Carrera Cup series that runs with IMSA, SRO, Indycar is about 50k a weekend, and they get the same amount of track time as the MX-5s. And just because I dug up the $$ figures I have, for a GTD seat in the Rolex 24, its upwards of 150k for just the race weekend, excluding the mandatory roar test. A full season is over 1mil

I love the MX5 Cup class. Its all about driver skill and leads to awesome racing. (Aside from karting of course). Like you said said. Its so evenly balanced it leads to amazing races where drivers are constantly battling and its ultimately up to driver skills and not the person who has the best car or the most money. I feel this way with GT4 and GT3 as well even though thats top tier level racing, they really do there best to get the balance of performance between all the different manufactures to create great racing where its ultimately the Team and the Drivers ability to win. With so many variable to consider its amazing.

I wonder if Mazda required the SADAV this year because of all the trans failures in previous years. It's too bad the grassroots track MX-5s have to use the delicate H-transmissions. Non-Cup MX5s still have the problem with the glass transmission. Bummer.

In any competition, you try to get any advantage you can if your ultimate goal is to win. That's just the way competing goes. Mind games is part of it too. Rabbit isn't the most ethical dude, but I'd rather be that than pussy out because I'm afraid to lose. Lose with confidence and pride and no one will give you shit.
