These Guys are the best , Great car built by great people, truth is that the car is made great by the Long Family, I own an ultimate Miata, and I love it Thank you Glenn
This is so cool, and even cooler that it is right here in NC! I know the Miata market is crowded, but if there is anything LRR makes for the NB that is not available elsewhere, please let us know. There are plenty of us that commute in stripped down Miatas with 4 point harnesses that would love to be able to buy parts with real pedigree, not marketing babble. It seems so much work is done to make specific racing parts, but perhaps a lot of the knowledge gets lost trying to make it work financially. That's a shame. I think there are a lot of us that want to take our street cars to the level that LRR provides, but at the end of the day each one of us is a one man band.
Very interesting shop tour. Love the cars and watching the miatas race is a blast! One question. Why do you remove the seam sealer when you're building the race version?
Mike Berry I understand how more power is useful but the weight of a Miata is what makes it a good track car if a person who buys one wants more power they can add it ya know
They run a custom ECU along with exhaust and intake which gives it a mild power bump but the tune gives the drivers a lot of features like flat foot shifting in order to perform better on track.
brb was able to hit 190hp with just intake exhaust headers and a tuned on the stock ecu and that with a cat this should be able to hit the same numbers or higher since it have a straight flow exhaust with custom ecu i think it should be pretty rapid since its 100kg down on the stock mx5 which is already a feather weight car with a lot better tires suspension and stiffness

this is why i race Mazda MX-5 in iRacing, so much fun with VR and H shifter
Soul red weights 15lb more than white car! wow! interesting fact
I think soul red is about 5 different coats of primer/paints.
Love the ZoomZoom family.
This is totally awesome!!! Definitely a buy if and when I move to Washington state. Great video and great work!

How much do the cup cars weigh?
Very cool 'how it's made'-style video, well done!. I would kill to make it to this series one day; just need to raise that $58K ;)
And then another 100 grand or so to run the season.
9:02 Guinness!

My best guess it replace it with seam weld to stiffen chassis on top of roll cage
yeah im a tech and this would be a dreeeeam job! nice cars and shop
It really is!
they dyno the engine before break-in?
How do you dispose of the parts taken off the cars?
Does the wind shield washer liquid tank stays in place?🤔 min 10:50
Such a great price for a turn key series race car.
80k in '23
wow full racecar out the door
Very cool.
What transmission?
Do you usually install an oil cooler on these builds?
yes
How much does it cost overall?
Today they come from the factory race ready for 58, 900.
is it still street legal?
The Cup car is not street legal, but Long Road Racing does have a street legal cup car that they offer.
Surprised that they don't try to bump the power at all. (I know they swap the exhaust but still seems minimal)

I want one
I always thought the Miata race cars were factory built by Mazda.
They are now.
Just looked these guys up.... they permanently closed in 2019 :(
They shut down so long road racing is no more
Can i have one? i promise to take care of it forever.
these cup cars should be hardtops
A cage to imsa spec wont fit in the hardtop
@@brcodgaming plus tall ppl with a helmet won't fit in it 😭
Try raceroom, thank me later
