Hi, Thanks for your video. I remember my memory when I first saw this in South Korea around 1997 or 98. now, I'm in my 40s living in the USA harder to get it. But, Fiat Coupe is still my dream car. one day I hope I can own one.
I agree with you on this. Just started watching your videos. I have a 20v turbo coupe. Had it nearly a year and have really enjoyed it. It does have a certain charisma that makes you love it and thrills you. When you own one it does get under your skin and excite you. Not had any problems with mine so far. To me it's a great charismatic better than you think classic.
Really nice video Tom, you dont hear much about the 20V VIS model. lovely car with a great story and it sounds beaut!! i know that road near Hillsborough and its not a great place to break down. will look forward to more content about this car.
I’ve always loved FIATs and Alfas from this era - and especially the Coupe - they just hit a sweet spot where the cars were beautiful, innovative and unlike anything else available at the time. I’ve driven a 20v Turbo - it was one of the special edition versions, and blimey did it get a shift on - ultimately though, I think it was a bit too furious - who needs wheelspin in the first 3 gears? So, the 20v non turbo must be a much more complete car to drive. Lovely colour too - similar to my current car, which is an Alfa Giulietta. Great film - really enjoyed it!!
Good video , bro!! Congratulations for your car. My own Fiat Coupe' L.E. remains in my garage since 2011. You've made me be jealous enough , to decide its restoration. By the way , where is this place?
Hey Tom I have the 20vt coupe in Burgundy, currently at Turin motors,Leeds undergoing mot and a few jobs that need to be sorted, but absolutely fantastic car!
Just started my channel about rebuilding my 20vt for the fourth time. I've owned it for about twelve or thirteen years now, I just love it, stick with it 👍
Just subbed, can’t wait to see how it goes. That’s a real labour of love owning it so long and restoring it, hopefully I’ll see you and it at a show in future pandemic permitting :)
Love the intro, "I wanted thge Rover 75 since I was about 11, but this I wanted as a kid". I know what you mean, but what's the difference? You're still a young un! Keep motoring.
Sorry to hear your cars being stolen. We lived in that area many years ago and they tried to steal my Rover 400 series. But since I had the luxury version with an alarm fitted they gave up. But, who wants to steal a Rover 400!? It still puzzles me.
Hi there, I'm pleased that you are enjoying the coupe. I'm three times older than you and have a T reg model, same engine, my car in red. It's the second one we've had, the first almost twenty years ago. One question please. At 55seconds into the video, we see the rear passenger side wheel. The height between wheel top and body seems quite high. Is this the same both sides of the car? Mine is about 20mm higher on passenger side. Mechanic can't find any problems with suspension and car drives fine. Best wishes.
@@tomdrives thanks for your reply. Mechanic has checked and all seems ok, and I trust him. Suspension is noisy, but I don't want to change things unnecessarily. Need money up my sleeve for the just in case situations.
Jon's Tech Channel I think you may be able to soon, 25 year rule is annoying. Someone took a Fiat Croma over on a road trip and sold it to a Museum a few years back.
Tom Mitchell hmm ok, think I have to drive one for testing... hope it will be ok because i love this car... it’s the perfect alternative to the old Porsche 996
Hey Tom if I came up could you help me sort my beloved rover 75 tourer 2.5 v6 auto in gold love this car its a 51 plate with 75000 miles. Ive become disabled with transverse mylitus I need help. Sean
@@tomdrives cheers for getting back to me Tom. Not alot I think. I was told as I got it gold serviced by my brothers garage thar one of the engine mounts was cracked. I've started to notice a rattle underneath going over bumps. As if the exaust has come loose or the spring maybe. About 6 months ago some kid in his polo was going down dark Road with lights off I didn't see him as a car was parked and was at top of hill. Litterally caught front chrome strip. As I turned in to miss. But then my widowscreen wash stopped spraying. I've spares like a full front crash bar, a whole radiator with fans on. Took all these off my last 1.8 that died. The auto box is smooth as butter. Starts everytime quitely in tickover. No loud ticking. It goes like a rocket for such a long car. There's cosmetic things I'd like. I need a new drink holder one I've got stays out. Its only been 3500 since service. I only do 2000 a year but id like to do a trip like you did i jyst need some bits. New chrome strip off front right. Window washer sorted the engine mount. Id pay to do all get them off ebay. After Xmas I'd be happy to pay to have delts done ivve found someone does this for 350.i honestly think cars worth saving. All the se parts work. Cruise control works perfect. Heater and air con check it gets freezing in there. Just need no rust on body at all. How can i send you some pics Tom. As for me I had this attack left me taking strong pain and nerve drugs everyday. Walk with a cane hurts jyst bending to wash my hair. Made me miserable but live the 75.think id prefer to go back to a saloon but mine even has the optional boot cover and loading net in boot. Has few missing pixels in dash but shes 20 years old. Like you to see her see what im trying to save. Cheers ton means alot sean
@@tomdrives there really fast cars mod them like mad bigger turbos I like the sound that much I got ford st 225 as sounds the same but alot newer so can bits for them 👍keep the fiat coupes going

hi tom great video of the coupe, im one of the other 20v non turbo owners, love the car always have, may see you a classic car show next year
Have you done the rear subframe bushes ?
Notorious weakpoint on all Tipo platform cars, caused a lot to be scrapped too early.

Doesnt seem very reliable then?...
I just bought one..the yellow one. Very special car.
Proper pro reviews now
Tom! Keep em coming
I have one…the only problem of this car is finding a spare part is hard…I left it abandoned near my house…been 10 years now
Great vid Daddmin I had a 20v in the same colour. It was beautiful to drive and the sweetest sounding engine
I prefer it to my turbo definitely such a brilliant sound.

Brilliant stuff!
I know what you mean mate I had some alfas that gave me the same feeling grazie ciao
Definitely, I’ve never driven an Alfa Romeo, I almost got a 159 Ti though

It was parked on an uneven surface in that shot, mine sits the same on both sides. Have you had your springs and shocks replaced?

@@Thecarman1994 An earlier poster mentioned rear sub frame bushes. That could be the noise and/or the height difference?
@@delukxy thanks Deluk. Still driving the car. Still got the issue ! By the way, I've got a hat like you ! Paul
Definitely a car I’ve always wanted to import to the United States

You can get a coupe 16valve Turbo now and next next a 20vt
So I have one and I’m going to ship it to the states. My only issue is how accessible parts would be when I need them you know? Just worries me
I really want to own this as my first car. I'm 16 and I'll be 17 in december
Make sure to check multiple sites to find the right one, insurance might be a bit expensive depending where you live
This video is so perfect
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it, subscribe for more :)
Nice car pal
That used to be my old car
Where did you get your engine bay cover from please?
Go on my channel and check for the video of me changing it, there’s a link to Mariusz profile in the description :)
@@tomdrives ok I will do tom, later this year I'm going to get mine sprayed rs focus lime green , it's a striking car that needs a striking colour lol
Great video : )

425 pounds??? what a steal!
The Poor Mans Little Ferrari
The value of these are skyrocketing! Stop making videos about it, I want to buy one at a sensible price 😅
Beautiful machine
You can have mine for £700😆, needs a fair bit of work though.
Do you recommend this car for tall people?
I’m tall well I’m like 6ft (I think) and headroom is a bit short for me

I got one for around 27k
