Best version of Spawn, and one of the best comic and adult animated shows ever made, this is an example that a animated show can be dark and edgy without being anime, we need another Spawn animated show or even a CW show ot hell a revival of this show
Watership down: Maximum carnage, horrors of war, visions of hopeless genocide Simpons movie ad: Innocent rabbit crushed to death by Moe Szyslak. Meaningless and subversive Weimar shock value. This: A cheerful clown in an enchanting forest enjoying the taste of his own shed skin. Endearing and wholesome.

0:30 Tim The Enchanter: "That's no Ordinary Rabbit, That's the most foul, cruel, and bad tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!"
I would still love to see this animated series finish. Keith David is still alive as well as some of the others who did the original voices.
The way Violator/Clown shakes off the blood cracks me up.
I was 16 when I saw this promo to season 2 and remember it well
its such a shame the soundtrack is unavailable
1) Nostalgia Critic - "You know, for kids!"
2) 0:33 - 0:38 Good luck sleeping tonight. I even dare anyone to play this time segment at 0.25x speed.
3) The Violator taking over that rabbit is the most delightfully wicked piece of animation I've ever seen since the Coachman's smile from Disney's Pinocchio.
4) Lastly, show this to someone who thinks animation is ONLY for kids.

@@yoshy6147 Let me know how it goes.
"Where did we fail you son?" - McFarlane's parents.
so this was the commercial all those years ago I remembered something like this from when I was little but I didn't know what it was promoting so it was for the spawn t.v. show!
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH i been telling my kids bout this for a wile now and just found it i member seeing this as a kid and loved it so much it stuck with me you are awesome
todd macfarlane just stayed 13 years old
Why?
Im so glad that 5yo me decided to explore my uncles old truck which lead me to find a spawn vhs tape
As a total aside, I'd like to see American McGee's Alice in this style.
Kinda reminds me of the ending of classic DOOM's Inferno ending.... Only a little different
BRUH in rabbit form he much scarier than his true form
Among all the things I did not expect that to happen
Best version of Spawn, and one of the best comic and adult animated shows ever made, this is an example that a animated show can be dark and edgy without being anime, we need another Spawn animated show or even a CW show ot hell a revival of this show
Love how this promo straight off the bat told the audience this piece of animation was not gonna be some kiddy fluff.
This was badass, hilarious and creepy, all at the same time.
Jesus Christ, this is amazing
Watership down: Maximum carnage, horrors of war, visions of hopeless genocide
Simpons movie ad: Innocent rabbit crushed to death by Moe Szyslak. Meaningless and subversive Weimar shock value.
This: A cheerful clown in an enchanting forest enjoying the taste of his own shed skin. Endearing and wholesome.
When I've seen this, I think to myself. "How would the Doom guy will respond?"
Not every cartoon is for children
What about watership down, heavy metal, fire and ice, wizards, fritz the cat, duckman, the maxx, aeon flux, undone, felidae, Batman mask of the phantasm, dc animation, Pink Floyd the wall, rock and rule, fantastic planet, American pop, ninja scroll, Akira, perfect blue, princess Mononoke etc?
@@Johnlindsey289 💯 💯 especially Fritz the Cat which is definitely one of the most over the top adult animated movies ever.
Ninja scroll & Akira are anime and other adult graphic anime includes Violence Jack, Devilman, Genocyber, Urotsukidoji Legend of the Overfiend, Mad Bull 34, Guyver Bioboosted Armor, Berserk, Kite, Fist of the North Star the movie
You damn right it's not for a little Shit head
Certain anime is just restricted to adults because of the hentai (perverted) influence put into it, like Dragon Pink, Angel of Darkness, Chains of Lust, etc.
The violators has to be one of the far, creepiest names for a comic book villain, (says the guy who's not really comically (graphically?) Well'read (or well-orange, for that matter (annoying orange's laugh goes here)...
Was that the bad guy's name from the comics and the show?
Anything creepier would easily get most developers to get people sick, reported, listed, black-listed, and so on.
Thank you Todd McFarlane.
This creepy bunnie looks like wathership down
This is a dope commercial
Been looking forward to seeing this since 1997 when I only saw it twice on HBO! Thanks for the upload.
just keep in mind that this isnt an indication that its gonna replay again on hbo. this was a commercial spot i recorded back in 98 for the second season.
@@poisonpen26 Yeah, I know. I may have been mistaken about 1997, I guess it was 1998. My brother told me about the commercial and I wanted to see it. Did not disappoint.
That outta give a kid nightmare fuel
Idk what to think about the fact that almost every character sounds like the voice actor has his nose pushed firmly up to the microphone in this show.
Anyone else think that was an evil ass Bug Bunny in the thumbnail?
I remember my dad had season 1 on laser disk
バイオレーターの寄生で、兎を破り殺した。
This animation guy ever create The Amazing Spiderman comic Todd McFarlane
This series was soooooo good!
Watching this as I prep to watch the whole series in October 😁
I love that clown demon. He's SO crazy and memorable!
Spawn and Felidae: Showing you what Adult Animation is meant to be! (too bad they couldn't do Berserk or Cerebus.)
The Maxx and Aeon Flux is pretty close.
@@alexgomez6723 I meant to watch
'Maxx' but I forgot all about it. I'm just
happy to see that Genndy's Primal
had happened and was actually pretty
well received by Toonami Viewers. It
showed that they really can create
'great' cartoons for adults if they get
the right people to do it! Its just a
tragedy what happened to Uzamaki
though. That deserved so much better!
At least it showed that they can
adapt 'realistic' black & white manga. For
like one episode and a half I guess!
Shame about Felidae. I really wish YT
didn't had to go and delete the HD version.
Those bunnies sure look just like Thumber
This should be put In gen-z trama iceberg
There’s something horrifying about seeing a Disney light cartoon transition into this Hellbound demonic entity and realm. I’m not gonna lie I’m glad my mom was strict when I was a child.
This show was so ahead of its time.
Man TV shows back in the day use to hit so different.
And that is the way you can change Disney to something much more interesting
I love his laugh. It's so hearty.
