I moved to Poland from Ukraine and started to travel a bit so UA-cam started recommending your videos to me. So I've been exploring Poland with you ))) and I'm glad that you liked Katowice because I've been living there for 3 months and I just loved it!
Being an American of Polish Ancestry, I want you to know how much I have enjoyed your videos. I was able to visit Poland in 1974, as part of a Polish Folk Dance troupe, "Wisla", and participated in the "Swiatowy Festiwal Zespolow Poloninich" in Rzeszow. (World Festival of Polonia overseas dance groups) . I also visited Warsaw, Krakow and Gdansk. For me, on a more emotional level, it was like "going home", or at least returning to the "ancestral homeland". Luke, I loved Warsaw as much or more as you did. Did you go to F. Chopin's birthplace at Zelazowa Wola? If you did, you passed very close to my maternal grandmother's birthplace in the village of Karolinow. I also visited Poznan, where my Dad's side of the family is from. I visited Poland again in 1977, and went on a bus tour around the country. I am amazed at how much Poland has modernized since then. Modern shopping malls, that could be anywhere USA, tall buildings that would not be out of place in New York, Chicago, or Detroit. I now live in Wyandotte, Michigan, USA. When I go to our waterfront park on the Detroit River, I am looking at Canada. Since this is my second comment, again I would love to be your guide if you wanted to visit Detroit, MI and Windsor, Ontario. (Two countries in one stop!) Thanks again, Nick Lubinski www.polisheagle@wyan,org Love you guys, keep up the good work! (P.S., Did you eat at the Krokodyl in Warsaw? Fidel Castro once ate there, and upon finding they didn't have an actual crock, sent them one! - Stuffed.)
I absolutely LOVE Warsaw. Such an interesting city and has got so much to offer. I think it's on a rise and will be a very popular place to go to very soon.
You are both so honest, friendly and open minded, Luke and Naomi. Your videos are very educational too. I don't want you to leave😢I know it's inevitable😭It's a part of our lives❤
I am glad that you are showing Poland. Years ago, when I was in the West and told what my country looks like, it was listened to with disbelief. In 1990 my friend married an Englishman. Despite the fact that their son often visited Poland and talked about life here, his parents took toilet paper with them when they came for the first time. When embarrassed by this, their son complained that they did not believe him, they replied: We thought you are in love, you can see the world through rose-colored glasses. Yours, you are a nice couple and by the way, this wedding in Wieliczka would be a great experience. The so-called my friends would burst out of jealousy.
Warsaw It is a very interesting city. Modern skyscrapers, old town and old buildings, beautiful parks, nightlife, artistic events. Such a mixture can be very enjoyable.
I have truly enjoyed traveling virtually along with you two. You are both so positive. It's' great to discover many of the off-the-beaten-path towns through your eyes. Hard to believe you've been traveling around Poland for almost 3 months... wish you had at least another 3 months there. Hope you go back to Poland in the future and show us more. Safe journey to your next destination!
And recently I like to listen to Irish traditional music. I had been working during one summer 15 years ago In Ireland and I was really enjoying that time. Although It was raining all the time ;) But your homeland's music is so possitive, I always get a good mood after listening. I was also great fan of the song that Irish people arranged for Euro 2012 - rocky road to Poland. Awesome!
I have been watching your videos about Poland with my family here in USA . I'm polish and love your videos thank you for the great videos . We feel like we are there. We will be in Poland this August so we can't wait. God Bless..
One of the most prominent countries in Central Europe, Poland is filled with rich history, some dating as far back as the first century. A country often overlooked by travelers, Poland is home to countless historic structures, a vast Baltic shoreline, hills and lakes formed in or around the Pleistocene Ice Age, and flora and fauna species that may not be found anywhere else in the European continent.

On August 1, at 5.00 p.m., in Warsaw you can be a witness to commemoration of the victims of the Warsaw Uprising. If you are interested in concerts, on August 4, the largest open-air free concert in Europe takes place in Kostrzyń nad Odrą (near Poznań) called Pol'and rock festival. In '90 and early 2000 around 700 k people visited this festival. There's a huge campsite for the audience. Hope you will have an opportunity to see it. Take care guys!
As someone who grew up on the suburbs of Krakow and studied there, but then started his career in Warsaw and have now been living abroad for 8 years i fully agree that Warsaw is the best city in Poland for long term experience….especially if you are in to contemporary theatres, art galleries, trying different cuisine and the list can go on … Haven’t been in Poland for more then 2 years now and your videos help me to reduce a level of nostalgia which has started to appear recently - great job :) p.s. if you still have a chance try place called Zapiexy Luxusowe … traditional Polish street food near the exit you took while walking out of the underground at the end of your video :)

On one thing you are wrong: small towns are much better to socialize than big cities. In Warsaw all people are busy with their own business and they give a damn about the others. Apparently, in the countryside folks are more curious about strangers. They keep asking where are you from, why you came here, and all that stuff. And they usually have a time and a patience to listen to your stories ;)
