Not that it matters after just one stage but still if three different sources say different times, something's wrong.
Wow the interior shots really show how little these cars have to do with the models their outer panels are based on now. I guess the suspension setups, ICE engines and aero are still different between makes, and they’ve done it for safety reasons, but at least when it was FIA spec cages worked into modified shells there was still some kind of vague connection to the road cars.
One interesting thing is that the engines are rather limited, so some hotrod street machines with the same engine make more power. The road cars certainly don't have the chassis dynamics, of course.
@@UncleKennysPlace Yeah but in the case of the GR Yaris, the WRC car is still using the 4 cylinder engine from previous seasons, not the 3 cylinder from the road car. I think they did the road car as a 3 cylinder to homologate it for the R5 rules or something.

Nice to meet you, I'm a Japanese person who is a little younger than you. I feel like I can understand your feelings a little too. Due to geographical issues in Japan, rallies are not as popular as in Europe. However, there are many people who like cars, and I am one of them. I also had a semi-rally spec car when I was younger. That's because I admired the sight of a car similar to mine running in the WRC. However, recent WRC races tend to be dominated by cars with completely different specifications, rather than modified production cars. Not only the car, but also the driver, navigator, and mechanic. Japanese people know this well. For example, the former president of Toyota even drives a rally car himself and truly loves motorsports. This is the same for other Japanese manufacturers. Unfortunately, this idea differs from country to country. It seems like it's not a belief in cars, but a mindset that will stop at nothing to sell the car. For the WRC to be correct, it should be a race with production cars that have been moderately modified, just like in the past. WRC is certainly exciting right now, but it seems like it's out of reach for the average person, and it's dangerous.
Breen has settled in recent rallies into a demeanor of self defeat, and faking his emotional state. First year being a full time factory driver must be really hard with Loeb making them all look bad. They can't say anything about seat-time or the car.
there was a time when cars broke during the stage , repairs with mechanics had to be done against the clock. a time when driving a lancia was different than driving an audi, you could feel the difference driving the two, and also when the cars looked different from brand to brand. even an amateur could tell, thats a peugeot, thats an audi, etc. those times are gone, all brands look the same, cars behave the same. you can pick any car over the other, not a big deal to the result. now driving skill is still a major factor deciding the winner, maybe even more than before since all cars look and behave the same. funny tho. that supercharged turbo engine sounds like an electric toaster when revving, just like before. i couldnt tell which car is rovanpera in until i saw the toyota logo on the front bar even the light projectors look identical from brand to brand ,LOL

Oh and turbos sounds exactly the same no matter the car it's equipped with. You're simply hating on this sport and making useless and incorrect claims about the sport just to satisfy your wierd interest. Get a life man, just enjoy the sport since it's faster and better than ever. Have a good one.

Where are Lancia, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Audi, Opel, Mercedes, Alfa Romeo, Daihatsu, Nobuhira Tajima and his Monster Racing Suzuki? What kind of a WRC is this without so many Manufacturers not taking part?? Where is SEAT? Where is VW? Where is MINI?
