Get to know Matty Healy, the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of The 1975. The musician, 34, is best known as the frontman of the English pop-rock band that originated in Manchester during his early high school years in 2002.
You have obviously never seen a 1975 show. He has a bottle of wine and a flask he's sipping on the whole time, at every show. And he's still fantastic.

I thought that too when I first saw online performances. I’ve seen them live 6 or 7 times now, and he’ll do this for a few songs and then he’s fine. He’s just very theatrical. 😂

Is he drunk or just pretending? If he’s drunk, he’ll probably be back to drugs in no time. Hopefully not.

He still smokes a lot of weed he says. And he’s never quit drinking. Some people are able to keep their cool and recognize if they go a step further it could hurt them and or their family and that’s too much to bear. HOWEVER, he has also been honest about almost “scoring” multiple times, and maybe even said he did relapse in one or two isolated instances. But, obviously he’s not gonna be 100% truthful. He’s already made it clear he doesn’t wanna be a beacon for sobriety. And I assure you, he isn’t.
@@sorryimsosadhe didnt relapse. he was addicted to heroin,and not alcohol or whatever . his behaviour on stage is very much part of the show .
