Estate Sales > have your bag > get there early > move around quickly > bring a partner if possible > be selective on selections > if you want it hold on to it. Though we don't go to many, as sales have been slow, the few we have gone, some of the prices are ridiculous by the Estate hosts.
If I was looking for a printer, I wouldn't pay $10 less than the "Google price" because I have no way to return it if it doesn't work. I love how that host just expects because it's new it works. I have bought plenty of new stuff that didn't work.
I agree with your business model. I do the same. I feel like the "Terminator" when I walk into a sale, quickly analyzing and making decisions on potential inventory. I leave low-profit / low-sell-through items for other buyers. Great video, Thanks so much!
WOW ~ lots of white-haired people going to these sales.. Were most of them resellers as well?? Thanks for taking us along.. ~ At 20:28 mark you picked up a boxed item & opened it & took out paper-work NUT you didn't take last paper off to see if the right item was in the box.. (You even said they sometimes switch items.. (Out with new & replace with old..) Surprised me..
Yes it's great for researching further back. It goes 3 years! However it doesn't give the sell through rate. No idea how many available vs sold when you use that tool. So I use it as an added research when there aren't many sold comps on the normal search (90 days)
It just depends on how much each piece goes separately. I start by looking how much they sell together and then if it's more in separate pieces than I do that.
Thank you so much. Someone to find an item at the bottom it'll say how many available. Then filter to sold and take that number divided by the number available. Thank turn it into a percentage. A perfect item is over 100%. Next best is anything 60 to 70% or more.
Hello. I am using a GoPro 12 to record and the neck mount I use is amzn.to/3XGqDhI I am going to try a chest mount this week and see if I like it better? The neck mount flops when I bend down 😂
So there is a search feature by image in the eBay app. But it is definitely flawed. I usually use Google lens to find the name of something and then go to eBay and do a manual search. If I'm feeling lazy or don't want to type out a long title I will do voice text to search for an item. Hope that helps.
@@desertsellersseems to me ebay can figure that out. Their whole platform is based on photos. It would be great. I'm not the type that likes on the spot comping. Takes all the fun out to have to stop, type, and scroll. I'm not a big reseller either. Guess I'd have to learn to embrace it if I want to expand. 😂
Estate sales are so disappointing now that they look everything up. Takes all the fun out of reselling for me. I have been going to garage sales trying to stock up my inventory for winter. I feel bad for you wasting your time! Wish we had Amazon bin stores in Michigan.
Not a waste of time at all. As you see in my videos I've made a lot of friends doing this so it's just fun to hang out with everybody. And finding inventory is just a perk 🙂 I agree it's annoying that they look everything up but in the end they need to look out for their own business.
Horrible negotation skills you have there i mean come on, if that printer is 149.00 new she stated with BIG EYES howabout $40 and you said let me think about it? Instead she was waiting for a counter but you walked the other way. I would have told her $20 SOLD!

Have you seen the new research feature on the eBay app? It shows what had sold and to me is so much easier than using the filter for sold items.

@@desertsellers Ah, thanks for telling me that. I am just 5 weeks in to reselling so still have lots to learn. Thanks for the BOLO emails!
I would have loved all that vintage Christmas!!
Where do you FIND estate sales???? Thank you!
Hi Jennifer! Another great video! What kind of animals were they in the end of your video! Yikes! LOL
Javalina. It's similar to a wild pig. They are pretty common around here. As long as you keep your distance they don't bother you.
Ok, Thank-you!
When you buy cameras, do you always part out the body and lens or do you sell them together?
It just depends on how much each piece goes separately. I start by looking how much they sell together and then if it's more in separate pieces than I do that.
Wen is like a qvs or one of those kind of things people buy from late night commercials
Hi Jennifer! Love your videos. How do you know what the sell through rate is?

You should get the skin so soft for your car. Keeps the mosquitoes off while yard
Saling
May I ask what you use to record? GoPro? And the neck holder? Where from:)

@@desertsellers oh I see. Yeah I’m trying to start recording too but I just don’t know what to use lol
A lot of people start with their phone but I need to be hands free. GoPro is a quality product but not cheap.
@@desertsellers yes exactly. Because of the hands free situation I always forget to record because I use the same phone to look up items
Not sure, but looks like a Princess Diana Bear Beanie Baby may have been on the table!
Beanie baby bonanza!
The estate sale at 21:49 is overpriced on everything. Who sells CDs for $2?
Right?!? 😂
Dumb question, do you know how to make eBay search for a photo rather than type everything?

Knowing her, she maybe would have come down $5. That's a big maybe. They are pretty firm on the prices at this one.
Your sound on your video is very bad . Sounds like your in a barrel.
Just ordered a new mic to go on the GoPro 😀
