I think from memory, these are one of the very few auto boxes where when it is in low and you press sport it starts and stays in the selected gear rather than most autos that climb up to the selected gear. Pretty cool.
Okay Adam, you got me. The time you introduced your first RR I decided that a L322 supercharged is a must have. Then I did some measurements but unfortunately it is too high for my garage. But the P38 - BINGO - matches in height, I can do all the work myself. After fixing the S1 XJ-S a P38 HSE has to join the fleet. Greetings, Christian
It was fun! I’ll have to do it again soon. Sadly I can only really go there when it’s frozen. We take hay on those fields and I don’t want to ruin anything
As a long time subscriber, I watch all Your videos but this P38 series has really hit the mark!.… I am currently winter driving a Saab 9-5 2,0t.... But constantly looking around for a Good P38 Range Rover.....Of course a "Classic" would be the ideal choice, but the ones that show up, here in Finland, are usually ridicolously over priced.... Good P38:s are far and between....So I need to keep looking!
I was looking for RR classics also for a while but like you said, the good ones are really expensive. The P38 feels like a good compromise. It has modern features which are nice but still drives like a classic
First time I took my P38 off road I was shocked at how good it was. I had road oriented Pirelli Scorpion tyres on and was sure I would need the assistance of other drivers in their hardcore off road Defenders when I got stuck. I didn’t go to mad, but never had any trouble. There are some great vids on UA-cam with standard P38’s doing amazing off roading.
What brilliant fun 😊 I want a Range Rover, I’m now off to talk to the wife and convince her she does too 😂 All the best Adam. Great channel by the way ! Best, Steve in the uk 🇬🇧
That was fun for sure Adam glad you took your son as well it's always good to show them off roading never owner a modern land rover but had a series 3 which was pretty much unstoppable snow mud deep water always made the grade enjoyed your video very much, best regards Andy Allen.
Enjoy them as much as you can they grow up so fast my boys are now in their 40s with famlies of their own a plus is grandchildren thanks for your reply Adam.@@LivingWithAClassic

It’s a great set up

Sounds like a great plan! They are a pretty handy size. I’m really happy that mine fits in the workshop too
Really cool, when two of your favourite car channels are commenting each other. You guys are awesome! Please keep on!
You look like a kid with a new toy! Looks like so much fun.
It really was!
Seeing your drivers smile made my day!
I have to drive 40mins in the UK to find an offroading patch..imagine having that OPPOSITE your house. So much fun.

I have seen a few of those videos and it’s really impressive! Can’t wait to take mine to a proper Land Rover meet
I use the same tyres, was up in Snowdonia in the snow with mine, just love the P38 👍

What a regal-looking thing out there!
It really is
Looks like good fun. It's great your son is enjoying the ride.. Years ago I had a Isuzu Trooper and it did a fantastic job in the snow as well.
It was a lot of fun! I want to go again in a few days
No matter the issues Range Rovers could have. The engines have always sounded nice .
They do sound great
Love that V8 sound
Great video, nice looking P38 as well 👍
Thanks!
Congrats ❤

He’s almost 2.5 years old now and starting to be old enough to come along on most things. He’s still talking about now a few days later

Splendid ride over the hills and a really beautiful sounding engine! I think I need to open up my exhaust one my old merc V8 ML ☺️
You should! The V8 in the ML sounds great. I borrowed one many years ago from a neighbor.
You will be amazed at what a rangie can actually do.
I've done two land rover off road courses.
Still not wanting to own one
Next step is a nice big sheet of ice without anything hard surrounding it.
Would be fun!
Off to Arjeplog next! but I guess it’s not a prototyped
That would be cool
Have you done your transmission/transfer case fluid changes yet?
Curious if you feel the need to change them now that you have done a snow test?
I haven’t but I know they were done not too long ago. I will be doing all the fluids later on this spring.
Air suspension or springs?..

Range rovers are money pits
