...and the last cast and the last cast and the last cast... (mum is waiting with the dinner, but you cant stop) ;o) If you get a 2lbs fish in these streams, its a monster.
Why do you not give the name of the body of water you are fishing so that other folks can go and have the good experience that God allows you to have. Could selfishness be involved? Just wondering?
I sometimes take for granted where I live…then I read the posts on these channels….I am truly lucky to live here in East Tn..and it is heaven on earth..sad thing is a lot of people will never get to experience what just a few of us know about..thank god I’m a country boy !
It's a beautiful little stream. I could almost feel the stream flowing against my legs and see and smell the lushness of the vegetation on the banks. God made this world so majestic and inspiring, we must become better care takers, not only for ourselves, but for the children to come.
No that's not a green screen behind John its just the beautiful scenery God blessed us with. Those creeks looked so good aside from the big slippery rocks. 👊👍
Love the fact that you are becoming an EAST tennessee lover (north and south) ! Yes, our area (I like to claim it also, having spent most all my life from southeast Ky. to EAST tennessee) is so beautiful and has so many places to fish and hunt. An outdoorsman's dream.I love all your videos, but your smallie fishing is special to my heart ! RKB
That is a fisherman's dream to find a location all to yourself. That was a beautiful place and all those fish just waiting there for you. It just doesn't get any better then that. You almost feel like you know something no one else knows...LOL Thanks again for taking me on the day of exploration and God Bless......GO KATS!!!!!!!!!
another nice find . Whether it's the small mouth , exploring new areas or just sharing the beauty that the state has to offer . I think I said that right .
great video john. cracks me up that alot of the big channels now are stopping at creeks and along the side of the road at little water holes. You paved the way and the crap fishing challenges have been worn out. Keep up the great work.
I am blown away by the clarity of those mountain streams, even below the spillway the water is clean. Now as to catching big fish, who doesn't want that proverbial monster, but reality is those little bait stealers or the beautiful fish that took your offering in this video. Thanks for sharing and God Bless those little fish, if not for them, we'd have no need to dream about that leviathan.
Just love to explore new fishing spots. Preferably small streams/rivers...though I suppose any water will do! If you are willing to go past the easy access, fishing can be much better! Thanks for all you do!
Hopefully one day I can make it from west Tennessee to east Tennessee to come fish out that way. You have some beautiful creeks that we just don't have
Those kind of creeks are the funnest kind especially when you come across deep spots here and there…we always netted our own bait..crawfish, Hellgrammites and minnows…Theres nothing like clipping on a split shot and hooking on a minnow then casting it out and reeling your slack tight and just waiting for that tip to bend…Boom you got one and those smallies fight so well…
I grew up in the Adirondack Mountains in NY and loved brook/stream/small river fishing. I lived all over the US and even did some "fishing" when I was in Afghanistan. I live in FL now and fish all of the time but I still miss those mountain streams. The wife and I went up and did some hikes in southeast TN (Tellico Plains) and spent the weekend and man was I itching for my fishing pole. LOL!! Great video!!
I've caught a few different species of fish on this little stream , creek , river , whatever you consider it..... if it's Citico. I go for trout , but I've caught crappie , creek chub , red horse , small largemouth , red eye smallmouth in the lower part and different pan fish . I hope to go a couple of times before the year's up. It's a beautiful place.
If you were trying for the best mountain creek background and oh yeah smallies and trout...Boom! Nailed it. Picturesque beauty...such a blessing taking us along on the exploration adventure again brother. I love having a spot so nice to myself or sharing with my fishing brothers and whatever nature decides to visit us. Snakes not included. Just maybe we check out a few some day in Adair County KY when we visit Mom...One can hope
i recognized this creek about 5 min into the video. we camp there every july 4 for 1-2 weeks. you probably drove passed us when you were there. if you want to catch the bigger smallmouth in this creek you need to use live crawdads. otherwise i use a rapala original floater -7.they work great. great channel !
That area in the beginning looked familiar, no doubt east TN. is beautiful, I'm from Loudon. Proudly call Fla. my home now. Beautiful stream & a great fishing spot, pays to explore, take care 🐟
I want to say I enjoy your adventure. I know you like trying different fishing techniques here's one that I did growing up. Get a light rod and reel setup and a popper fly black or green work's good and a clear floater run it about 3 foot above the fly. Find somewhere that blue gill or sunfish hang out it's a blast to catching it's a challenge.
What a gorgeous stream! Looks like liquid crystal . I’m not sure anything in nature is more enchanting than a clear mountain stream with a rocky bottom . I had to have gotten in there and floated around after I fished out the area. I bet there are some crazy good arrowheads on those gravel bars. But I’ve found you can either fish or hunt points , it’s hard to do both . Good anyway. Thanks for the beautiful video
Man, you and that music! You little bugger, you! Ya had me tappin' my foot to the beat of it. Nice Smallmouth Bass, the first one of the day that you caught. That's usually a good sign that it's gonna be a good fishin' day!
Awesome....I fish GSMNP, pretty much exclusively for trout, fly fishing; that stream/river looks a lot like some of the larger streams in the park in their lower sections, like Little River. You can still catch smallmouth in the extreme lower sections of those streams, but apparently they were more common further upstream when the park opened in the 1930s; the tree canopy was more open after decades of logging, and the streams warmed more, so they were more in the temperature range for the bass....and I agree - I would rather catch a wild fish, be it a bass or a trout, than a stocker fresh from a hatchery.
You were literally in the spot I nicknamed “the snake hole”. I’ve seen more banded watersnakes there than anywhere else besides the Hiwassee. I figured you would have caught more rockbass there...usually that stretch of it produces a lot of smaller smallmouth and rockbass. On up towards the trout section are some good smallmouth too.
5:15 beautiful river. looks good to take a bath. your fishing videos are fun to watch man. excellent sunset view. your a christian brother too. Psalm 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”
When you find a mountain creek that gorgeous, and have it all to yourself, it's really hard to make the last cast the last cast!
...and the last cast and the last cast and the last cast... (mum is waiting with the dinner, but you cant stop) ;o) If you get a 2lbs fish in these streams, its a monster.
Heaven.

Love catching creek smallies....It's beyond me how anyone could dislike any of your videos.
I'm in Cleveland TN, I feel ya on the beauty that surrounds us here. Great video!
you truly are a blessed man with the quality fo streams in your state!

I live in East Tennessee and would absolutely love to meet and fish with you one day! I have to make more creek fishing videos
Me tooo
Citico is beautiful! It is "place of clean fishing waters!" the buffalo fish run in March.
You are excited about fishing and catching fish no matter the size. Love your energy.

Beautiful scenery in that creek. Tennessee has some amazing creeks and streams in the mountainous areas.
Thats a great stream find. Love that crystal clear water. Thanks for sharing.
A beautiful state and wonderful scenery...East Tennessee--oh, how I wanna go fish! Thanks for the video!

Good day on a beautiful creek.
The Ol' Little Pigeon ... Fished it my entire life . Love the untapped feeling you can still get up there .
Ah no, that's Citico Creek, Monroe Country
Tennessee creeks, and land you can't beat it.... Beautiful place, and great video as well
Wow that creek is absolutely gorgeous! I think I'd spend more time just enjoying and exploring it's beauty than actually fishing.
Great video sir. Great find for sure. Looks like it was a blast. Keep taking us with you on your fishing adventures sir.
You looked like you had a great time. Keep up the great work.

What an awesome day. I agree there is nothing like taking a day, choosing some spots on the map and going exploring!
east tennessee is heaven on earth
Wow great little fishing creek.
Such a beautiful setting- you're truly blessed to be able to fish there. East Tennessee Mountains are now on my bucket list.
Great scenery and love the music at the intro.
AMEN! Boy! That was a pretty creek! That valley at the first of your video was beautiful!
The camping on that Creek is pretty good too! I've not had much success fishing there, but I think it was more the time of year.
What a gorgeous creek! I know you don’t ever take the beauty of those places for granted. Thanks for sharing that great trip and footage!
John great video, beautiful creek fishing awesome.
Very interesting day. Love the scenery you finished out with.👍👍
Amen. I love the TN, NC, GA mountains.

John is the Creek Master!!!
Beautiful country. You know how to find the fish in them creeks. Enjoyed your video.
I don't understand why you don't have a couple million subscribers. Love your show.
I've caught smallies as far up Citico creek to Double Camp. Our rivers and streams are great for smallmouth. My record was 9.8 lbs, a tanker
That could have been a state record. Especially if it was one of those red eyes. I'm not sure of the proper name.
i recognized this creek about 5 min into the video. we camp there every july 4 for 1-2 weeks. you probably drove passed us when you were there. if you want to catch the bigger smallmouth in this creek you need to use live crawdads. otherwise i use a rapala original floater -7.they work great. great channel !
Great video beautiful scenery appreciate the effort
Beautiful spot
Love creeks like this dude. Cheers
You fish some of the most beautiful bodies of water. The creeks around here are real tiny and usually muddy. Enjoyed this video!
Beautiful brother! God bless!

FINDING STREAM WITH YOU IS GREAT. MAYBE NOT SIDE BY SIDE BUT IT'S GREAT WATCHING YOU.
Gotta love old townsend 😉
Beautiful creek! Love that spillway area! I could just set there all day even if I didn’t fish.
Beautiful creek! Tight lines!
Now your fishing in my area. Nothing beats catching mountain small mouth.
Man i gotta go to the mountains to see water/creeks like that good video!

There’s some nice ones in the holes up there
Great video. Gorgeous place 🤙😎
Awesome! I live In Ky, but I fish there almost every time I come to TN.
Nice smallies! I'm moving to east Tennessee in a few weeks. Can't wait
Awesome adventure!
Hey! That’s my fishin spot! 😂 I have fished that very place. We spend as much time up there as we can!
Was about to say the same thing! I've walked those roots quite a few times. Hard to believe he's never been up that way!
Where is this spot?
I love watching your videos John
The grace of our Savior be with you, too, my brother. And thanks for taking us fishing.
It’s beautiful John…
nice looking creek.
I might need to plan a Tennessee vacation just to fish with you... keep it up!
Thats my hometown man!!!!

Nothing like East Tennessee.
A perfect day, fishing a beautiful stream, by a kind and gentle Christian fisherman. Much obliged.
Should use a lighter rod. It'd be much more fun. Thanks for the video! That creek looks familiar...
Had the same thought.👍
***** cool fishing!!!!
Very good video. Sure did enjoy it.

you must be talking about the spillway there. i hate snakes and i hate crawling down that spot LOL
We always start at one spot and keep working upstream
Found you pretty early on, I think you had a few thousand subs. Wow, you fixing to break 100,000.
Way to do it. Vids are better by the way.
Great video as always man!
Have you tried down sizing your line to 4 lbs.test line .it's a lot of fun . I've caught 4 lbs smallies on it and I have a blast.
Awesome man
5:15 beautiful river. looks good to take a bath. your fishing videos are fun to watch man. excellent sunset view. your a christian brother too. Psalm 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”
