I used to work WNBA games on the sideline for a west coat team...can confirm. These ladies never sell out the arena. On game day, the crowd is funneled into the lower bowl and its even sparsely filled up. They are not going to get tons of sponsors off that...the money is NOT there. They cant get a portion off nothing coming in, and youre supported by the NBA, That tells you most people and sponsors aint doing that...OCHO doesnt get basic economics...he in his feelings for some odd reason. People forget that it was the Lakers and Celtics that saved the NBA and they were able to build a market around that. WNBA doesn't advertise, there is no perceived rivalaries, no heroes, no villains, just showing up and playing. If Reese and Clark come out this year, they should put all their eggs in that basket and market that rivalry like a death match. The public loves conflict and we love to chose sides.

The dunk add so much excitement, and without that, it's just a bunch of layups and jumps. You're getting half the game, and paying full ticket prices.
I’ve never understood this argument or discussion. It’s as simple as supply and demand. If you are generating $$$, you deserve a fair/equitable cut. No one complains about women’s tennis because the prices are the same for their matches as the men at majors and ratings tend to be fairly similar, thus they deserve equal pay. The inner city fan base has to be won over before they show full support. Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, and Lakers have mad respect from their city because of the past victories. WNBA hasn't earned respect from the city because there are no achievements worth talking about. A WNBA champion team is worth less than a WWE champion belt. At least they have the courtesy to let you know it's scripted so you don't take them serious. WNBA is all talk and no delivery.
