I need a suggestion Lenovo LOQ i5 13th gen rtx 3050 vs Acer Nitro V rtx 4050?? I need it mainly for programming and video editing and occasionall gaming
Programming and Video editing need a stronger CPU than GPU and Gaming needs stronger GPU than CPU. i5 13450HX is wayy stronger CPU it's almost 50% faster than i5 13420H. So if u want it for Video Editing, Programming and Occasional Gaming then go for Lenovo Loq and if Gaming is ur main priority then go for Acer Nitro V rtx 4050

but why not m1 air or m2 at a price range of 60 to 70 where you are not offering any gpu only coding laptop and the main usp is big battery then go for a mac air because spending more than 50k on a laptop which does not provide any good gpu is waste of money as a college student

And, macs don't have a GPU, so how much is that gonna impact me ? I'd be a cse or csm (cse with ai and ml) student so does it matter to have a gpu when you are just learning ? I'm not into gaming or video editing. I'm thinking of acer predator helios neo 16 or a macbook air m1. Or maybe loq but there are motherboard issues due to hx processors...
bro macbook gpu is strong enough to do Ai ML easily, don't compare MacBook gpu with windows integrated gpu lol, mabook gpu is far far better than integrated gpu of windows . Also no programming technologies are paid, all are free in web and app development. Macbook is always >>> Windows ( in terms of coding, multi tasking, efficiency) if you wanna do gaming then only go for windows.

I will suggest you to go for 16gb ram because then it would be more smooth and future proof. Atleast go for M2 not M1, because M2 is better than M1, only you will find M1 speed better than M2 that's it, but your Cpu and Gpu will be more powerful. In practical use that speed doesn't matter much.
you should have also included the acer shift go 14 OLED it is there for 66k with intel i7 13700H
