This review was absolutely incredible. I have been debating purchasing one, but you pointed out everything I needed to know to make me fall in love with this piece
Great to see you back on UA-cam Dave! This is a very interesting watch. Great job!
Absolutely gorgeous watch. This actually tops my Pan Europ!
Great review giving the history behind this design. Very good, wait, excellent information for newbs like myself.
Your review is great! there are 2 additional problems with the watch which I wanna add,
First : you can't change the bracelet with an after market one, you must only use one of its original bracelets.
Second: the glass is above the bezel so if you hit anything with the watch, the glass will hit it first!
But after all, it's soooo gorgeous and I might eventually buy one!
Wow the history behind the design of the Khaki Navy Sub makes it that more attractive. Thanks for the insight!
This is stunning! So underrated
I’m glad I didn’t see this review before I bought mine. I probably would have overpaid. I purchased mine as New old stock, it came with the orange rubber band so I purchased both the black rubber band and the stainless to fit the beach, casual wear, and Luke you said more formal/business wear. Love the watch and your assessment.
Quite an impressive tutorial on Hamilton, Dave. I have a version of this model and I concur with your opinions.
I love it ! I will try to acquire one soon.....
I have owned dozens of hamiltons and this one remains a fav. Just wish the rubber straps weren't soooo short😮
Thank's for a great review. I think they nailed the styling. It's hard to find a sports watch with Arabic numerals the looks right and I love late 20th century design. There's Hublot and even Breitling accents here. May just have to own one.
Going to hit the Hamilton website now, thanks!
Awesome review, the history behind the watch was super interesting too. It seems like a beautiful watch, better than their current line up. I wonder why they discontinued it.
I bought it because the beautiful and unique design with nice movement.
Very good review of an interesting watch I never noticed.
Fantastic review David, ThanX.😎♥️🌐
Juan Nuñez - Thank you Juan!
친구한테 삼일동안 빌린 시계.. 진짜 너무 행복했다. 살짝 무거운감이있지만 시계가 주는 만족감때문에 무거운게 아니라 묵직항으로 느껴집니다:)
Great watch, happy wearing the watch
Excellent review
최고의 멋진 디자인! 언젠가 내 손목에서 빛날 것이다.
What are the lug to lug measurements? I really want one of these, but I have a 6.5in wrist. Fortunately blessed with a long and flat 52mm wrist length though...
How much is the weight with the steel bracelet?? I can find nothing about the weight
Thank you for that very interesting history of the brand and design. I never knew about the Piping Rock and how this watch is an homage to the Piping Rock.
Can someone confirm whether the case is the same for the regular non chronograph and chronograph? I want to buy the oem stainless steel bracelet for my h797160. The seller of the factory stainless steel bracelet couldn't confirm. If it will fit because Hamilton never offered the chromograph...
I couldnt find any sude by sude of the two versions together but from the pictures and videos I examined, the two cases appear to be the same...
My bezel is very firm. Never moves. Actually is the best bezel of all my divers. Perhaps I was lucky.
Same here
same here, chrono version
Same here
Same here 😁👍
Hey ,I would like to know how I can order the Hamilton khaki Navy Sub steel bracelet on the site you mention in the US watch group video in New Jersey, if you could help me with that information I would be very grateful
The 800 number is on their website. I just called them directly with the part number and got great customer service. www.swatch.com/en_us/services/service-centers/the-swatch-group-usa-inc-united-states-secaucus-nj-7094/
Great review!! Could you tell me which the lug to lug is?
Thanks!!
I don't have the watch with me to measure, but I read that it's about 54mm, and that's on the rubber strap which flexes down around the wrist. With the bracelet, there's less of a hard curve downward as it slopes away from the case. So it's a pretty big watch.
@@DavesWatchLove Thanks for answering!!! I searched information about the L2L but i didn't found. I have 16mm of circumference, so it's too big for me. (Sick) Anyway thanks.
Wow I didn’t know about this Hamilton model. You’re right about how different it is. Do you still own it? How was it getting used to the “0” on the top? I like the watch a lot.
Yes, I still have it. Love it. You get used to the zero pretty quick. It's a great unique feature of this watch.
Dave's Watch Love Cool. Thanks.
how the rubber live up in the heat or normal scratching? will it getting stiff and old over time and broken?
I don't wear mine very hard, but so far the strap has held up beautifully. I don't see it wearing out easily. It's still soft and flexible. Eventually, any rubber strap is going to wear out. I got mine with an easy call to Swatch in New Jersey and had it to my door in a few days for about $100 USD.
@@DavesWatchLove no i mean the bezel and the raised number on it, they look super thin and vulnerable. Thanks for the info anyway
Where do I get this stainless steel band??? I want to change it on my watch, instead of rubber band! Does anyone know?
I have the same watch, the rubber one,i'm intrest to buy the stainless steel band, but i'm living in Uk.I try to mail Hamilton, maybe they can send me one...
Does anyone know if the stainless steel bracelet from this watch will fit the chronograph version?
I can't say with absolute certainty, but both share the same size case (42mm), so I imagine they are the same case. Can't see Hamilton making two different cases. So I would think the steel bracelet would match the chronograph. Best of luck!
Dave! Do you know the model number of this stainless steel band? Thanx!
I've been searching and can't seem to find the number. The watch used to be listed (along with the bracelet number) on the Hamilton website. I will check the actual bracelet when I get home from work. If you're in the US, you can always call the Swatch Group in New Jersey (877-839-5224) and give them the model number (H78615135) and tell them you want the bracelet. They are easy to work with and ship out fast. Also, you have the regular three hand watch and not the chronograph, right? The chronograph case is a different size and does not have a bracelet made that fits it.

@@bryanazbel5440 - WOW! It exists! A bracelet for the Chrono! That's good to know. Also, I do see the reference number on my bracelet. It's H605786100. I'll add it to the video description. Best of luck!
@@DavesWatchLove And it works with a chrono sub-confirmed.$130+tax+the shipping from Hamilton!
What is the movement of this watch ?
This has the ETA 2824-2. Hamilton has modified this movement into their H-10 with a longer power reserve, but I don't believe Hamilton put that in this watch.

What do you think about a new watch Christopher Ward C60 Trident Chronograph 300 43 mm Quartz?. Are you going to do a review? Greetings from Poland.
M K - Christopher Ward makes fantastic watches. I prefer mechanical watches over quartz, but a quartz CW would be bullet proof and maintenance free. I have several videos on my Trident Pro if you want to check those out.
Dave's Watch Love Thank you very much for your answer.

This exact watch is not offered on their website..
That’s because it came out on 2017 and is unfortunately discontinued.
@@watchreport a shame because it is the best looking version!
My bezel is verrry stiff and firm.
Moves with affirmative clicks and indentations.
