People often call blue fish purple because it sounds better and will get more sales. Happens with orange fish being called red too. Also purple flowers being called black.
Hello! Just found your page and am going through all the guppy videos specifically. Looking at your tanks I find myself wondering how you keep them snail free!
I just received my order of a pair of purple mosaics and blue dragon guppies from Jadren. Was not impressed with the male blue dragon since it looks more green. Saw no blue at all and there's a small reddish/orange horizontal stripe in the middle of its tail. I hope I didn't receive any of his culls. The male purple mosaic had some yellow to him which I think seems normal. Hope your guppies breed true.
I'm glad your order went well. I ordered last spring, half the fish were DOA and bags were leaking . I video my unboxing, sent it him like the instructions stated, never heard a word. I wrote him 3 e mails with no response.
I got his guppies , but a bag did pop and he refunded me. I also got a really low quality looking male and all them but 1 female died after 2 months. Luckily they had fry so currently I have a butch of nice adult super dragons.
How many mosaic big ear male guppies can I put in a 10 gallon tank? And who do you suggest I buy these from? I saw some beautiful green dragon type sold from Thailand. Any suggestions would be great. I'm a newbie who does not want to breed and wants a variety of colors in my tank. I do love how pretty these guys are. Thank you in advance.
Im actually trying to create my strain and I've found several variations in my own colony and decided to separate. Im about to sell all of the fish in there save 6 so I can have 2 tanks with 3 in each. Would love to send you photos of em if you'd like to see it
They are a cobra metal lace tail guppy cross with a mosaic, his babies bread with my tiger endler and so far its been straight tiger ender breeding with the products of that. I have a lot of them right now and a lot of differences. I took 2 females and i bred them with a blue Moscow steel head so im hoping I get something cool. I also have a golden/green fish with a beautiful sheen that holds the pattern and he has a red tail. Im going to start 2 more tanks for the main colony so later on I'll have some genes that I can intermix so its not a problem. Also wanting to get another strain thats true.

Interested whether your Dumbos will breed true. I cull a whole lot. No luck either..

do you dose aton of ferts? I just set up my auto water change system and having trouble with too low of nitrates to keep my watersprite from thriving
I stopped dosing fertilizer for the last few months
