This poor guy had no idea he was giving an interview 5 minutes before this interview started. Jadren probably said "can I have photo?" and just started recording.
Jason: “Sam is who I buy all my guppies from.” Phil (Tamed Waters): “You sure about that?” 🤔 Had to give a little poke on that one. LOL Good info Jason. He definitely has his process dialed in. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video! Thank you! How does Sam deal with culling since he has so many fry? Also, does he introduce new stock into his strains to keep the line strong?
Amazing guppies and fishroom. Thx for sharing 👍 I've a few questions if you can get answers from breeder 1A. How often do you change water for both fry and adults and % removed? 1B. Do you have aged dechlorinated stock water or add dechlorinator in tank as you add tap water for water changes ? 2. What foods are fed to both fry and adults/breeders and how often? 3. What's tank sizes and water volume used to raise fry and adults? 4. How do you quarantine imports or new stock? 5. I noticed that some tanks have plants and other none is there a reason for this? 6.Do you grow males and females separately? 7. Using the styrofoam boxes what thickness of plastic is used?
We especially liked his "Red Caps", and ordered a Black Eye Koi Guppy Pair from you. With Thanksgiving soon and the Post Office in such a mess, we trust you will delay shipping as you please, will not feed for two days prior to bagging, no plants in with the fish, etc. etc., you know the drill. Sue and I breed endangered/threatened West African Killifish, currently Fp. oeseri; the guppies are for grandkid Christmas presents.
I have some assorted that have been colony bred since early 2k. I purchased them from a old polish guy. I'm working to sort out the genetics. They're hardy to say the least. Im producing close to what he is monthly. My only option is to find a wholesaler in chicago....
Awesome video Jason! Pretty new subscriber, first time commenter ;) I'm up in Canada and I'm looking to import guppies from Asia as well. When Sam said he normally imports quite a lot to cover for ones that die, what kind of numbers are we looking at? Would it be possible to do a video on importing fish from overseas to do a complete breakdown of the process and the costs and fees ect?
I wish I could ask Sam if he has any green guppies. There is one specific line of dragons that has beautiful blues and greens. I for the life of me cannot get an order in.. again. (Regrets finding that fish my first year of fishkeeping. If I had 2 years of exp maybe it would've lived).
@@JadrenAquatics oh yea cares for his family, and you're right he knows his stuff its funny how I met him I originally went through him directly then I met Ron whos a nice guy as well and bought 4 pairs and a male albino topaz because i remember what you said in one of your videos about them being very high maintence but gosh he is sooo beautiful
@@JadrenAquatics Yea he showed me his set up those things are cool! takes very good care of them I'm a guppy guy but man those things are cool... you shouldve asked him about the blue tigers or blue cheetahs forgot what he called them but they were 100 a piece or pair
not true, i separate my females when there about to give birth, and i keep water not deep same as you and in tubs just like that but sometimes the female still eats the fry. i see it more in the 24k line than others tho.
You can purchase any of Sam's guppy's on my website. jadrenaquatics.com/
Looked great I always enjoy seeing different breeder setups and seeing the thought process behind it all
What a nice educational experience with a guy who loves the Hobby. Thanks for that!!!
Can u do a video on a betta farm? Thx so much!
Nice overview of Sam's operation. Lots of questions but appreciate the effort.
Thank you sir!
I ordered two pairs of black eyed red guppies a few days ago from Jedren Aquatics. I can hardly wait! Thanks for the informative video!
I noticed he does not have any aeration going in the fry boxes. Will fry be able to breath for a long period? Does he change their water? Thanks
Ordered a pair of the blue dragons that you sell from him. Absolutely stunning! Tell Sam thanks for his hard work and dedication to the hobby.
whats his yt or page
I would definitely buy guppies from this breeder...a common sense, no nonsense fishkeeper....would be interested go see his list of varieties..
I carry all of them on my website jadrenaquatics.com

By eye is the best old school way! Nice guy.
Lots of guppies everywhere at Sam’s place 😮 ... great information!! Nice video Jason!!🤘
This video gave me some good information to use, thank you!
Awesome video! Thank you! How does Sam deal with culling since he has so many fry? Also, does he introduce new stock into his strains to keep the line strong?
Yes he has a cull tank with lots in it. I think he told me one time it brings in new stock from other breeders but no idea how often
Thank you!
Did he say if and when he did water changes on the birthing tubs? I didn't see any air going in to them. Great video J!!!!
That was a great interview and tour. I can see why you source your guppies from him.

What kind of floating plants does he use thank you
Sam definitely breeds some nice guppies.
Amazing guppies! It is very satisfying to see different breeder's set-ups! 👍👍👍

Nice quality guppies!
Beautiful guppies 🤜💥🤛, I'm also a guppylero just like you, I started 8 months ago, thanks for your information 🤜💥🤛
Albino blue topaz is the only guppy I breed I love them so much challenge with the Albino but it's worth it 👌
Trying his idea about separating the female to drop her fry.
Any idea why I get 95% female babies? This happens with my swordtails , too.
I've heard some people say its a temperature thing but I don't know for sure
If ur breeding commercially
Hormones will do the job or
Try adding 1 male to 10-15 female
Male ratio may get higher
Wish I had a Sam near me. Thanks Jason
What are Sam's tap water parameters? And after you get them what are they kept in? (tds?)
Great informative video guys !!! Thank you !!! What about those special blue ones he has ??? Any for sale yet ???
Are you talking about the blue tigers?

My albino topaz also won't eat the fry unless there are other fish in the tank then she might try eat them before anyone else.
That was awesome.

No he is not working on anything green right now
Does he mate the females with mutt guppies? Most big breeders I know do to stop customers becoming competition.
