This was so long ago. So long. And all I can think of was the happiness and the feelings they all thought. I miss you Chester. I miss Linkin Park. I hope they come together and make an album soon. Whats interesting to me is that this Grammy basically kept Jay Z in the game. i think people forget he was struggling with creativity. If it weren't for this grammy, he wouldn't have came out of retirement. He up until the Black Album had won back to back grammy's for three years straight but none for the best rap album, or song. At this pint he was winning Grammy's out of what people felt were "Giveaways". His most significant one being crazy in love, but there was alot of hate on him winning "best male solo performer" for 99 problems as folks felt like it was just a throw away award. Which again why, he knew at that time he was going to get lukewarm responses, so they initially planned "The Black Album" would be his last. If it weren't for the mash-up with LP and getting the critical reception they needed, i think its safe to say Jay might have stayed in retirement. It was because of THIS album, he decided to return and work on Kingdome Come, and despite the lukewarm reception to that album, he knew people still wanted more Jay Z.
