Bodycam DUI Arrest - 18-Year-Old Woman Arrested for DUI with Three 17-Year-Old Male Passengers

- On February 24, 2024, Miami Township Police Officer Ryan observed a vehicle crossing over the marked lane lines painted on the road. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and learned that the 18-year-old woman behind the wheel was driving three male juvenile passengers to a home for the night. The police report indicates that Officer Ryan detected a heavy odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. The woman was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She was eventually arrested for DUI and was transported to the Miami Township police station, where she submitted to an evidential breath test. The result was 0.057% BAC, which is greater than the 0.02% limit for someone under 21 years of age in Ohio. She was released about an hour later to the custody of her father. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
finally, parents raised a child nicely
You have got to be f#+*@ng kidding
Because she wa polite. She was clearly given way too long a leash.
Wait until they get out the door . . . .
Except for the whole drinking and drinking thing.
Did you ignore the driving while drunk thing?
For being only 18, she actually was cool, calm and collected, and acted so much more mature than half of these grown women that are arrested for driving under the influence!
I agree!!!!
SHE WASNT DRUNK!
True, I’d say better than %75 of the idiots on these videos! Good job acting like a young lady!V
@@johnsmith-ug5tpfor her age she was over the limit. But truthfully, I’m more concerned she wasn’t able to see anything without her glasses but was still driving. Especially after drinking.
@@user-nw9sr4tk5y The law is an ass! She wasnt drunk!
Ever notice how accommodating the police are when you cooperate?
apparently the internet doesn't notice cause they constantly wanna act like they know the law when they don't and it needs badly . The cops in 99 percent of these videos are overly nice but everyone focuses on the 1 percent of bad shit
That's how the light ones act
Its Ohio a DUI is less then a speeding ticket - why would anyone be upset? the more you cooperate the sooner you can be back out drinking and driving
It's so nice to see a mature and polite young woman, without swearing, spitting and blaming others. She was raised well by her parents. I thought she did well in the tests, she wasn't drunk but unfortunately a minimum above the limit for those under 21.
I think she got screwed - might be a new officer. Been a lot of cases like this lately. They need to breathalyze on scene
@@mantan781. No, they need to stop drinking when they are 17,18 years old! Someone of legal age, he probably would have let go.
@@kathypotter1660Shouldn’t be drinking & driving.
someone who had been raised right would have known better than to be drinking with minors…
I think, by what she said, the biggest problem was she couldn't see while driving!!!
Here's a teenager who could teach a lot of adults how to behave if they are pulled over or arrested. If she was 21 she wouldn't be considered over the limit, which seems silly to me. She did make a mistake but accepted responsiblity for it.
I don’t think it’s silly, the age you’re legally allowed to drink is 21, so ANY alcohol consumption is illegal for an 18 yr old. The younger a person is, the more alcohol/substance naive they are, and the effects can be more pronounced. Also, maybe you’re not aware of this, but even if a person over 21 is “under the limit” they can still be charged & convicted of a DUI, it depends on their level of impairment. I don’t drink alcohol (I don’t enjoy the feeling of not being 100% in control of my mental & physical faculties) and I know for a fact that even well below 0.08 BAC, I would be very impaired and would def deserve getting a DUI
She seemed very polite and courteous.
The other “underage” were probably classmates.
Its Ohio a DUI is less then a speeding ticket - why would anyone be upset? the more you cooperate the sooner you can be back out drinking and driving
She was raised right. Her father was so nice and understanding. She made a mistake.....teenagers do that. She handled herself well.
23:08 she blew a 0.057 thats the most sober dui I’ve ever seen, that’s like 1 beer in her system
No, its more than that, but less than a six pack probably. I blew .0079 once after having 7 or 8 beers, the last one was minutes before the test. The cop told me I was full of shit about having two beers. But he didn't charge me. I didn't know them that he could have.
Under 21 the dui limit is .02
I had 2 24oz bud lights..got pulled an hour later. Blew .062. cop charged me
Good girl. She handled herself well.
the drinking and driving or the underage drinking, or driving when she couldnt see? Which one are you clapping for?
This girl is an absolute joy. I’m impressed that she knew to pull into a parking lot. That’s textbook conduct by her on how to handle a traffic stop and she never argues or calls the officer bro…
One of the few cases where I almost would have said just let her go. She wasn't even drunk by adult standards, and certainly didn't seem impaired you any great degree. She seems like the type to take a warning for what it is, and learn a lesso. But I guess those days are past.
@@justforever96I don’t really understand the logic that just because you can’t legally drink, as an adult, that you’re automatically impaired between .02-.07. She’s 18.. legal to drink in plenty of other countries. She in all fairness performed well on her tests. She was under the normal legal limit. Is it really fair to say she’s impaired when everything suggests otherwise? Idk.. I feel like there should be a different charge for this instance
i'll be honest she's probably one of the least impaired people i've a seen get arrested for dui
She is 0.57. Low, but still over the limit in other countries. She isnt a frothing wildcat like most of the other drunks on these channels, but 0.05 is when judgement and reaction times in general start to show impairment.
This girl really took it on the chin. Hope she *REALLY* learned her lesson and doesn't put this on TikTok like it's a joke.
You could tell she was brought up right so well behaved. It was so unusual seeing this.
do you think its the "brought up right" that led to the drinking and driving, the underage drinking, or driving when she didnt have the glasses to see? which are you crediting it for? all are illegal
At least she is polite and respectful...anyone can make a mistake. I hope she learns from it and we don't see her again.
I was just thinking the same thing. It was a mistake, and could have been so much worse. Hopefully this teaches her not to get behind the wheel after having a few drinks
They didn't make a mistake they chose to drink while being underage. I don't dam* them for it, I did the same thing when I was a teen in the 1980's.
Or ANY alcoholic drink@@jessicageorge4509
@@jessicageorge4509that's not the issue. You can legally have as many drinks as she did and get behind the wheel. As long as you are 21 or over. So no, she just needs to wait a the few years to legally have a drink and then drive. It's really not a big deal
@@free-tx8jgeveryone does it and everyone will continue to do it. It's no big deal. She wasn't drunk. Had a beer so what.
Best walk and turn I have ever seen.
Super polite young lady, see how quick it can all be with someone being sensible .
She was actually calm and didn't give the officer any problems. That's a shock!
I can’t get over at how many people don’t drive with their license on them. If I had to go solely on these videos, I’d have to conclude that 90% of people don’t have their license or insurance/registration.
Exactly, when you get your DL, don't you put it in your wallet?
Really! I don’t understand it. I don’t leave the house without my DL and debit card. If they are in a serious crash and unconscious, their poor families won’t be notified until after the officers have time to do some investigating.
exactly i cant leave the house without at least my id
Same here. I have license, copy of registration, and proof of insurance in the same slot in my wallet. The people who have their license are probably not upload worthy (less entertaining)
Only time I don’t have my license or purse or my phone with me is when I go to the post office about one mile away. I live in a very small town for about 60 years, the one local cop we have spends most of his time at the high school & he would never pull me over unless I was doing something crazy.
She was so respectful and cooperative. Hopefully this was a learning lesson
Why is it a big deal that an 18 yr old is hanging out with 17 yrs old?!?
It’s not.
It’s not, but some people with a low IQ think there’s a hugeee difference in maturity between kids a few months apart in age... haven’t seen any ridiculous comments here but there’s plenty of that mindset on tiktok or twitter.
Who said it is?
Its not - but it is Ohio, so "I didnt see nothing"
I love it when her Dad said "your gonna work this off" when reviewing the towing info.
I thought he was talking about her weight. 😂
She passed those field sobriety tests with flying colors
Wow! She’s so nice and polite. Her parents raised her right! You’re a sweet girl with a lot of potential…chalk it up as lesson learned, and keep moving forward.
This is a prime example of how young people (even older people) should behave when interacting with the cops.
Agreed!!
she is beautiful 😍
do you credit the "raising her right" for the driving with out her glasses or the underage drinking? See where I live we dont teach our kids it OK to break the law as long as you are polite
@@mandiguey shes a cow
@@tomr3422 it was more of a call mint, directed at the way she handled the situation. I grew up being taught that you don’t break the law either. But… No matter how good your parents are, kids are going to be kids and make mistakes. Did she make a mistake? Absolutely. Did she handle it better than a lot of the people I see on these videos. I have seen lots of videos were not only the young people make mistakes and break the law, but they act like wild animals when they have to face the consequences. So I was referring to how she handled herself… More of a pleasant person, and not attacking the cops and acting like a three-year-old throwing a tantrum. Sorry that you were unable to connect the dots there. But I don’t mind explaining.
This girl has respect and class. There is nothing to be proud of by any means for drunk driving. However , the amount of respect is amazing by both parties. Police and her. She handled her f*ck up with dignity. And accountability. 17:03
She wasn't drunk. 05 is not a drunk brain.

she was underage- that means any alcohol is too much - are people really this dumb?
Nice kid who made a MAJOR mistake. These 'nice' kids kill a lot of people who are driving home to families after late shifts.
True, but a lot of those people coming home are drunk or tired and about to konk out at the wheel; they're no better. The majority of DUIs I've come to find are those "family" people--aka parents.

@@lovethybunnyUh people who leave their jobs tired and driving home aren't selfishly choosing to drive drunk potentially endangering the live's of motorist's & pedestrian's.. NO you're wrong, working people leaving their jobs & driving home tired are not bad or selfish people like drunk driver's are ..
I'm not sure if that's true.. On multiple YT arrest channels there's a lot of 20-30 yr old single childless or young parent's who drive drunk & some have a few DUIs.. Not as many 30 & over citizen's or parent's are arrested for drunk driving I'm not saying they don't just not as much as 20-30 yr old's..

But they never forget their phone.
Finally!! Someone who can regulate her own emotions, cooperate with the police officers and be respectful!! Good job, all!! 🙂
That was the best arrest of all. No need for handcuffs
Now that’s proper actions when a policeman approaches you.
What a polite teenager! She was polite, calm, and drunk. It makes a change to not hear cursing and playing the idiot/victim like so many these days. I expect it made a nice change for the police too! I hope she learns from this mistake and never repeats it.
My guess is you won’t see this young lady on another POLICE video lesson learned!!
Young woman acted like an adult and officers were polite to her and didn't even put her in cuffs initially. Bravo on both sides
21:31 she cared about her friends not herself. 👍
so thats why she drank under age and drove with out her glasses - for her friends
Refreshingly boring.
Mature teenager, cool cop, cool dad.
mature? underage drinking? driving while even she stated couldnt see - that not mature, thats a entitled idiot and dady what a great parent bailing her out
Why is it unusual for an 18-year-old to have friends who are 17? High school seniors are usually ages 17 and 18. Just because you turn into a legal adult doesn’t mean you drop all your friends who aren’t legal yet.
Cmon its Ohio - the "I didnt see anything state" let it go before Jim Jordan calls you into congress
Seriously you guys whats the big deal? I graduated when I was 17 because my B day is in July!!

it's not pass or fail. it's performance based by an officer who's trained to see it.

100% I don't understand how you're allowed to drive blind
Since she got her eyes checked and she needed glasses. She's probably going to have to wear them all the time based on what she told the officer. The best thing for her to do is to wait until she actually starts wearing the glasses; she should also wait one week for her eyes to fully adjust to her new glasses before she starts driving.
its fine she was polite - I bet when she killed a family she would have said sorry

She made a mistake. It was refreshing to see this young lady accepting responsibility and being respectful. Her father seems like a great dad too. I wish her Blessings and success moving forward into her future. Godspeed ❤🙏🏻
Ugh the people making a huge deal over 18 and 17 year olds hanging out are so dumb. They’re probably in the same grade at school, she probably just has an early birthday. Obviously underage drinking and driving is bad. I guess the only thing you need to be mindful of when you turn 18 is if your friends are still underage which can get you in trouble legally but it’s not morally wrong or whatever.
My daughter graduated HS in 2023, but she has a September bday, so I started her in kindergarten late. She was the oldest in her class, im pretty sure, and it never occured to me that people might think its weird that shes "hanging out with 17 yr olds" when she was 18 first. People act like this girl is 25 and hanging out with HS kids. 🙄
So true! 18 yr. Old males are only used for military purposes. It should be changed to 21.
My son just turned 18, and his girlfriend is still 17 for a couple of months. It is absolutely no big deal. This young lady is a senior in high-school, well probably just graduated, but at the time of the arrest, she was still a senior. Lol! I'm glad you said something because I was thinking the same thing
Exactly. My parents started me early and I graduated at 17. All my school friends were older.
@@emoliver80I know, it’s crazy to me that people are freaking out about that. Almost all of my friends were older than me. I was one of the younger people in my class, not the youngest, but younger. It’s not crazy to me that she’s hanging out with 17 year olds, if they were 13 year olds that’s a completely different matter. They do need to teach kids that once you turn 18 you can get a delinquency of a minor charge though. What she did wasn’t good but it could’ve been far worse than it was. I’m not saying she doesn’t need a consequence but she could’ve done worse.
This young lady was very polite and respectful. I get that she had a drink and she shouldn't be driving, but she did those tests perfect. She didn't seem drunk to me. Maybe it's because we have seen so much worse than her😂 Hopefully this was a learning experience. Now that she is 18, she needs to be more responsible.
That's because .05 isn't drunk. The law may classify them as being drunk or not allowed to drive, but medically/biologically .05 is not a brain that is chemically incapable of operation. Funny how they wanna classify it as such for an 18-year-old, but they're OK with that same brain carry a firearm or dying for one's country. Messed up logic.
Sorry but YOUR ‘logic’ shows a wet open paper bag would be a challenge to escape. First, impaired is the term so your base argument is invalid at its core. Then impairments begin at .02 with reaction time being the first, there are plenty of studies to support it but guess science and logic is hard for someone who thought when they said 8th grade graduation you were done
😒🙄😮💨
Certainly not a big crime that she’s hanging out with 17 year olds, seniors in high school are 17/18 depending what month they’re born. That she’s underage drinking and driving minors is a whole different problem. She doesn’t seem very impaired to me & not as goofy as other people her age.
Girl DOESN'T seem drunk..
If you can't stay off the double yellow lines without your glasses (drunk driving aside), THEN DON'T DRIVE! You're a danger to everyone on the road.
Since she got her eyes checked and she needed glasses. She's probably going to have to wear them all the time based on what she told the officer. The best thing for her to do is to wait until she actually starts wearing the glasses; she should also wait one week for her eyes to fully adjust to her new glasses before she starts driving.
I love how they say “an 18 year OLD WOMAN and 3, 17 year old BOYS- so they are probably ALL seniors, and her birthday is a few months earlier then theirs 🙄
Does anyone *not* get arrested anymore after taking the dui test? Sometimes a person really has had one of two drinks and are capable of safely making it home, like this girl.
Very civilized DUI arrest. In states like Florida, Washington, New Mexico, she could have easily spent more than an hour in handcuffs, then she would have been taken to jail for several hours, as if she needed to “sober up”, even though she is not even drunk, her car is towed and somebody can pick her up.
Ohio is doing a great job treating DUI suspects with respect and not making things more frightening and difficult on the day of their arrest.
That was refreshing to see a civil interaction on all sides of this. I really hope she never drinks and drives again.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate watching these videos without an annoying A.I. voice interrupting every 2 seconds with an obvious or useless comment
Really disgusting what you did with the clickbait title (3 juvenile boys). I’m unsubscribing
Haha I think they saw your comment and changed the title
When did the law change that you don't need to have your driver's license when operating an automobile?
When cops got in-vehicle computers.
all they need is your name and dob

@DruDuk so having computers now encourage idiots to stop carrying their drivers license?
@@optitom9033 it is what it is…DMV is working on allowing drivers to upload your drivers license and registration on thei DMV app so thats coming soon…but watching these cop stop videos the majority of young people dont carry their drivers license.
I have always felt that if at age 18 you can join the military and potentially go to war and die for your country you should also be old enough to do other adult things including drinking. So with that in mind this young lady was under the 21 year old adult limit of .08
She also was very polite and cooperative unlike so many I’ve seen in these videos but unfortunately a person’s behavior and attitude towards officers when stopped doesn’t change a thing
What does military have to do with driving? One could assume that the under-21 crowd presents a high-risk driving profile. Now, I'm not sure whether that's true. But it's the question you should ask.

Parents have done well.
Not mature enough to think of an uber instead of driving under influence though, im surprised everyone in the comment section is so extremely nice for her getting a DUI on 18 yo is just insane.
Not gonna lie.....her walk heel to toe was pretty good.
Why is this vid acting like an 18 year old with 3 - 17 year Olds is so bad, or even bad at all? I get she's technically considered an adult and they aren't (although 18 isn't an adult for some things and 17 is for others) but they're probably all in the same grade and she just turned 18 first.
I got to give her credit at least she didn't start crying for Daddy and acting like a fool
And she wasn't dressed like trash! 👏
Polite, well spoken, tried to do the right thing, cooperative, didn't give a list of excuses, and didn't call the cops "bro" even once. That was a nice change of pace; this one has a good future ahead of her, and parents did a great job raising her as well. She as also still worried about her friends getting home alright while at the station, which shows good character.
Edit: I definitely don't condone drunk driving, of course.
While I don't believe in letting drunk drivers off lightly, this young lady handled herself very well. You know that she must been pretty scared, but she acted so much more maturely than supposedly grown women do. She was polite, respectful, wasn't argumentative, didn't try to blame others for her actions, and was even concerned about the welfare of her friends in the car. She may have made a mistake, but I have more confidence that this young lady won't repeat her mistake than I have in any of the other DUI videos I've watched in a very long time! Good job, Mom & Dad-you raised a child that accepts the consequences of her own actions.
Lol she's not drunk!! You can drive with her BAC level at 21. She only got in trouble because she's 18 but she's not drunk
I have never seen a video where someone pulled over passed these tests and was sent on their way with just a speeding ticket
Those videos aren't nearly as interesting, and don't get as many views.
Channels need eyeballs watching their videos, so the most common ones we see are where the drunk goes ballistic, or does badly on the tests.
Those videos just don’t get posted on these channels, because they’re not as entertaining. These bodycam channels obviously curates the videos they post. They don’t just post every bodycam video in the world lol
She was the most RESPECTFUL Person her father raised her right . This is a learning experience the officers were very respectful as well.
This officer is incredibly kind and patient with her.
He never should have arrested her in the first place give me a break

The officer even seems to be sad having to arrest her!
Officer didn't even notice that she ran the limit line.
She's really no different than the people in her car. Their birthdays could be a month apart.
I am sure the parents of this young lady are proud of her. Just wish they’d been more firm about how serious it is to drive after drinking ANYTHING no matter her age. I hope this makes a difference in her life and possibly saves a life.
If she hit your family member head on while driving over the center line, would she still be nice kid who made a mistake?
Kudos to her parents! They raised a respectful, mature young lady.
Good parenting leads to good children. While this is certainly a bump in the road for her & her family, it appears they have the closeness & values to make it a teaching moment.
I've never seen anyone ace these tests quite like her before.
I was thinking wow, what a ghost town, until I realized what time it was, still, wow, it’s deserted out 😂
I’m glad I never had to give a breath sample when I was underage. There were several times we partied in the fields and had a little too much fun.
She seems like a good kid who made an incredibly irresponsible decision. I’m sure she’ll learn from this and be fine.
I remember when dwi was a serious thing. Esp a underage drinker. Now it's a big giggle. Guy gets woke up middle of the night to come pick his kid up at jail for dui and even the cop trivialize it. Back in the day the cop would have explained not only is your kid driving drunk, she's got someone else's kids in the car. She gets in a crash, daddy gets sued and loses everything.

I don't know how far "back in the day" is for you, but in the early '80s, I personally witnessed situations where the cops made people (including high school kids who were out cruising Friday and Saturday nights) pour the rest of their open container on the ground and promise to drive straight home.
The enforcement of driving intoxicated has varied over the years by state, county, rural vs urban, even factors including community support and political motivations. Personally, I think enforcement and penalties should be MUCH more severe, but for now it's still going to be taken too lightly.
Back in the day a female could sit her purse down and have it there when it came time to go home.
Not today.
How refreshing to see a teenager act mature & dignified under such a stressful situation! How many times have we seen women 2 & 3 times her age lose their damn minds & act insane? I’m sure she will learn her lesson.

She did excellent on the tests. Wtf. He was looking to arrest her.
She was underage and admitted to drinking on camera. What choice did he have? Don’t blame what he can’t change.
Drinking and driving is not a mistake.
A significantly percentage of the population cannot pass the SFTs when sober and she did very well on the 9-step & balance. I know a couple of LEOs who privately call it the Sure Failure Test because it’s damned easy to get folks to the indisputable breathalyzers.
I appreciate her maturity & honesty. The officer showed proper discretion.
Til I watched these videos, I had no idea that not everyone automatically carry their license with them at all times. It was always impressed on me that your license was absolutely supposed to be with you whenever you drove a car. I can't get over that these officers say "that's okay" when these drivers don't carry a license or any other paperwork in their cars. I guess it really isn't necessary after all?
I don't believe they don't have it. They just don't wanna provide it for whatever reason.
It's unnecessary. Nowadays, cops have in-vehicle computers and portable fingerprint readers.
This young lady took this more better then most adult women and men . She knew she did wrong
She's very polite with the officer and awesome job
Wow so calm. Hope she learns her lesson.
she is the most pleasant kind respectful young woman I've seen in a long time.
Amazing young lady. Many adults could learn a lot from her. Appears she was raised very well.
The question is, where did they get the liquor from?
Not hard to get.
Just walk into a liquor store. Say you've got cash and don't need change/receipt.
I thought she was the mother, in her 30’s. She looks older and her voice definitely sounds older.
Kardashian vocal fry combo!
They need to change laws so that hefty tickets are given for driving without a license. Amazing how they find licences or valid IDs when they want to fly or go on a cruise or buy a car.
A very polite person. Nice and pleasant. Obeyed all commands. I bet she learns from this
So the "underage" kids were just be friends who had later birthdays, and she had a small amount of alcohol at some point. Compared to what my friends were doing this is my barely an issue. She was totally well behaved, they all were. So i hope they learned a lesson and this doesn't mess their lives up too bad. It's always kind of annoying that the worst behaved people get the exact same charges on their record as the best behaved ones. The sentence can be lighter perhaps, but the charge is the same and it goes on your record the same.
She likely rushed out of the house and forget the license.
If they all went smoothly the YT blogs would be out of business.
