Come on bruh do not sell that thing without a rear rebar you can be held liable for injury. It would have been better to leave the smashed one on. If its salvage and copart signs it in your name and youre taking it thru inspection, you gotta do things at least somewhat right. I get you selling to brokes that suck to deal with but it can bite u in the ass fr.
Like if that thing got hit by a train in the ass and someone died, someone could sue and u could be liable. Even if they were high on crack and they would have died anyway if there was no prior accident. At the very minimum I hope you have buyers sign a lengthy contract about title status prior accident injury liability disclaimer and sold as is, chatgpt

Hey Ray..when I saw this video of what your doing changing out the bumper cover of that Mercedes and NOT replacing the CRASH bar..that remined me of a situation I was in..selling a car..replaced only the bumper cover..(thinking I caould get away with it)..and even selling the car AS IS..the next owner got into an accident..in the rear..when the body shop where they took the car in for repairs notice it was even missing..I got sued for bodily injury..because of no crash bar..had to pay doctor fees..also had to pay for some of the repair work because of my ignorance of not spending the extra money to fix it right..however that was along time ago and I'm in my 60's now..but man if your not going to take the extra time and measure to protect yourself..then really that type of work and/or vehicles you should stay away from..and can and will eventually come back and bite you in the butt..I'm sure your viewers are just looking out for the better interest of you..take what they say with a grain of salt and protect your investment..which is yourself..just my opinion AND given you my experience.
So true. I was thinking the same thing. The worst part is that it is all on video which is an open and shut case. You have to protect yourself at all cost. If you're selling cars you have to know the laws surrounding what will come back to bite you.

@@beeblack2210 Good observation @beeblack2210..that can happen and the crash bar absorb some of the impact AND it is part of government regulation to have that there..just as it is important that semi truck have what you call the Mainsfeild bar at the lower portion on the rear of the trucks nowadays in order to keep vehicles from running underneath them..that is also where they get the name from..Jaine Mainsfield had a crash back in the day in Louisiana..didn't see the semi truck in front and ran completely under it..government regulation is something not to be played with..and he's playing it dangerously.
Or you can sell it as is and let them know and put it in writing where you make them sign.
As a dealer, can you be held liable for injuries since you purposely didn't put a reinforcement bar on the car? I'm just curious. If a person is rear-ended, and it is discovered that you're on video lowering the safety of the car stating that the reason being is that people don't want to pay over 5k, does that fall on the licenced dealer?Asking for myself because flipping car is something I might do in the near future.

Take 2 torches and heat that reinforcement bar back keep it on the car. Use your truck to bend it back. That bar is concerned safety inforcment it should be on there . If someone fixtures the car without people cans be really hurt. This bar protects and reduces the crushable distance a car would get pushed in in the event of a crash

Horrible job not putting the bumper rebar back behind the plastic bumper! Dangerous, if you can’t afford to fix it correctly then keep it so when you get hit in the rear you get injured not some innocent family because it can come back on you since you rebuilt it incorrectly and unsafe. Words of wisdom heat that old one up bang it back into shape that costs nothing but you have piece of mind it can’t come back on you. Honestly love ya man don’t want to see something bad happen.

eBay has the front bottom grill for $87. Also you need to PUSH in the rear headrest to reset the whiplash head protection, you can do it without buying two more but they’re only $80 each.

Cant register or get insurance on a car without a title. This Car in this condition wont pass inspection to even get the title. So unsafe

my brother this is a CLS550 4.7 L V8 BITURBO. the AMG is only the CLS55 5.5 L SUPERCHARGED or CLS63 6.2L or 5.5 BITURBO or the newer ones have the 4.0 BITURBO. you really need to take that 'AMG' badge off. this is still a really great car its just not a AMG. i know you didnt do that im just trying to inform you the difference and whoever put that shit on before is a straight cornball and they was probably driving that shit like it was a AMG but its not lmfao. AMG blocks are made out of AULSIL (aluminum silicone)
AND ALSO THE CLA WAS NEVER THE SAME SIZE AS ANY CLS IN ANY UNIVERSE OR MILTI-VERSE SMH

Bro you’re good at what you do, but trust me replace that rear crash bar you don’t need any unnecessary stress down the road. A couple extra bucks will save you a potential headache. No hate just do it right especially if your going to be recording it💪🏽💯 if you gone do it this way atleast make them sign document stating the crash bar isn’t there and make them sign it to cover you down the road. I’d also let this one sit until it’s ready for someone to come see it you don’t want to be daily driving it and have no dumb shit pop up on the dash that’s more shit to deal with.

I hope you at least let the buyer know that they are getting a car with no rear reinforcement bar. If they get rear ended and someone in that car gets injured and they find out you sold it to them like that then they will most likely sue you. Hopefully no gets hurt. I would at least put the old one back on..
