2023 Honda HR-V: THE BEST SMALL SUV
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 чер 2024
- Thanks to its Civic-based underpinnings, fresh exterior styling, beautiful new interior and generous helping of tech, the 2023 Honda HR-V will probably be the best small utility vehicle you can buy when it goes on sale in June.

This looks vastly improved over my 2020 HRV Sport trim, especially the interior dash layout and controls.
Without hybrid Honda pushing customers into the Corolla cross hybrid
Hybrid is coming next year I heard
Its most likely getting one since the civic is getting one too, and this car was just announced as a hybrid for Europe but named zrv
will wait for the hrv Hybrid model.
Current HR-V owner. Between the looks, the lack of hybrid option and the lower fuel economy, they shot themselves in the foot here. Either my next car is a CR-V hybrid or a Corolla Cross Hybrid.
Ugly gas mileage for a vehicle in this trim. My Q5 has about the same with worlds more performance.
This is a beautifully shot video. Smooth editing and very high quality of production. The car is great but this is a piece of art. Well done!
I’m annoyed that we didn’t get the HR-V that the rest of the world got.
The Philippines version looks like a smaller Acura RDX.
still looking good tho!
We didn’t get it because it was seen as too small for this market, now.
This is the class leading small CUV/SUV…for 2015.
A new, lower mpg is a huge misstep for Honda. This was going to on my shortlist for my next vehicle. This definitely was force me to cross shop more intently.
Adding the Civic's 1.5T motor tuned to around 190hp or so, would've made this HR-V hard to beat in this class. The new Corolla Cross hybrid will outsell most of its rivals in this class.
Power is nice but its like a $2000 job to replace the turbo 💰💰
@@Jose-rj6oe
Who said anything about replacing the turbo?
@@ivanlowjones I think he means when the turbo breaks after the warranty period ends and you have to pay out of pocket to replace it. So the NA engine might not have the oomph of the turbo, but it won’t break the bank account.
@@adamesd3699
Extended warranty?
@@ivanlowjones Yeah, that’s what I did previously when I purchased a car with a turbo. But that means paying around $1,500 upfront. I would do it again, but it’s still a cost.
it looks so much better
Best small utility? Nope. The upcoming Corolla Cross Hybrid, and Mazda CX-30 can claim that title, but this HRV with less power than both of them , and saddled with a CVT is a tough sell to anyone beyond the Honda faithful.
Looks like a great rental car
In 2022 aint a bad price at all? I guess he hasn't seen the economy and gas prices.
Honda is always for the dream of customers.
The 1.5 turbo and a hybrid version are necessary. Otherwise, the Corolla Cross hybrid wins.
Yes.. buying a cross...
If it had 1.5 t, 6speed.. deal!!!! Then honda
Plug-in hybrid version in the future? Honda seems behind the times by only offering standard ICE versions.
The best small SUV is the Mazda CX-30 Turbo Premium Plus. What are you smoking Craig?
It looks like a modern day station wagon.
Good looking but not enough HP…. We need one hybrid with more HP…
Love the new look
Grill looks like a ford puma 😅😄😃🤣
Love the design but couldn't swallow getting a car with sub 30mpg in 2022
It'll sell like hotcakes, I'm sure. 🥞😒
...yet one more vehicle that doesn't need to go upscale. No longer can you get a somewhat basic vehicle that you aren't afraid of getting ruffed up once in a while. It's moving away from what made it unique (where's that trick rear seat?) All this really needed was a more potent engine and no cvt. Also, wireless AA and ACP should be a standard, but I digress... 🙄🤦♂️🤷♂️
Where is the PHEV version? Gasoline only cars are so 1999.
Naw, this is the best, you don't want to pay $3000 for a hybrid battery every 8 years 🤡🤡🤡🤡
@@Jose-rj6oe Yeah, you'd rather pay that every year for the extra gas. smh
What is the problem with the outgoing euro variant ?... Wait i know you guys afraid that it will steal the lights from the Civic specially the price point.
Size. The number one reason people don’t buy a Honda Crossover is the current HR-V was too small, and the comparable CR-V is too much for their budget. Honda is trying to grab an even larger share of the crossover market.
@@kidsnewschannel6003 This one is spacious, the jump is like the difference between the 9th and the 10th Gen Civics, and i assure you that it will take the Civic's Spot because of the price increase of the New Civic.
Unbelievably uninspiring!
Looks fantastic!!
Where is a hybrid
Looks like the new Ford Escape from the front IMO!
It really does lol
New front style is a let down.
It would be if they made it an electric...
oh no, Honda is on the blandness train like Toyota once again.
Look difference than our hrv
You mean worse 😂
The one internationally is based on the Fit. Here in North America it's based on the Civic... Which is very weird why they did this.
It looks like the new Ford Escape 🤦♂️
My choice is still the Honda hatchback.
I laugh everytime I see this "paint job". I don't know why so many people like gloss grey primer ?
Where are the flip-up rear seat cushions Honda?
And 28mpg is nothing to be proud of for a new vehicle today.
Corolla Cross hybrid with 195hp and better mpg is a much better vehicle in this class.
Remember the money you save with a hybrid will not cover the replacement of the $3000 in a few years 🤡🤡
🇺🇸 front .. boring. Profile and rear looks decent. Where's the lady you would walk around the auto shows?
Looks so good. !!! Honda's are always on point.. !!👌
You can't be serious?😳. This CUV looks like a Ford product to my 👀.
@@djaftermath4313 It looks like a bloated fish out of water struggling for oxygen, a real transmission , and more power and torque. 😂😂😂
#19 lol
No Magic Seats. Boo.
🤮🤢🤮
"the best small suv" but you haven't even driven it.
Nice tiger grille, looks a lot like a Kia front and back
which kia looks like that?
Or trying to be a baby Audi.
Uhhh no.. I just saw this .
Looks terrible… the euro spec vezel is a way better example of essentially the same car.
No the International one is based on the Fit. This is based on the Civic.
That honeycomb trim is REALLY a bad idea, kids will fill with stuff in no time and it will stink!
SMH
$30,000.00 isn't a bad price? WTF!
The world is so ass-backwards. This little vehicle should top out at no more than $20,000.
Nice? Yes.
Mid 20,000 nice? Hell no🤬😡🤬
Cheap
tbh i think its rlly ugly. especially compared to the euro/international variant...
Toyota and Honda are sleep walking into the future. They are looking to the past and projecting it forward.
EV adoption is accelerating every year. Exponential not linear. The only limiting factor is batteries.
The number of electric vehicles and types of vehicles and trucks is growing.
Electric vehicles are just better. No noise, no emissions, less fuel costs, less maintenance costs and amazing technology. Gasoline and diesel are OLD polluting technology. PHEVs still have a gasoline engine polluting the environment. Toyota and Honda will be late to the party. It will cost them market share, market value and future customers. There is a Climate Crisis. Young people will not buy petrol and diesel vehicles that add to the Climate Crisis.
Tree hugger alert 🌳
For the next two to three years the manufacturers cannons make the electric vehicles in any significantly greater quantity than now, due to supply chain shortages. Therefore, people cannot buy significantly more. Both Honda and Toyota have plans for all electric vehicles starting in 2024, as long as they can get the supply chain ironed out.
@@kidsnewschannel6003
Cannons?
This thing is ugly! Not so good fuel economy, under power. What exactly is Honda doing really? Blah is all I got to say, and those tiny wheels make it look even more ridiculous.
