I will never understand how you paint something so small THAT well ... That knight is so striking against the sick bob Ross dinos The saint is just insane, dude .. there's a GRADIENT on the tiny flames!! It's so moody and fits so well And just... Goddamn Murrays shading is just insane. It just looks perfect. The tiny shinies and *accurate fingers* man... This is one of the coolest videos on the channel IMO!! Insanely well done! Seriously amazing showcase!!
The only way to make paint stick to FW resin that works for me is leaving parts in 99% IPA for a few hours, then scraping the hell out of it with a toothbrush and rinsing in clean IPA. I have tried soap and water befor and it did nothing, it seems that FW mold release it not water soluable. Then I apply AK Interactive Fine Resin primer and let it cure for at least 24 hours. This primer sticks to resin even better than automotive primers that I've tried before. After that I cannot scratch the paint on the model with a toothpick or fingernails even if I try really hard.
Personally I use dish soap that breaks up grease like dawn. Then a second purely water wash to make sure all the soap comes off. Scrubbing both washes with a tooth brush.
I know by IPA you mean Isopropyl Alcohol, but it's very funny to me to imagine that the best way to prep FW Resin is to stick it in some beer for a bit.
i only had smaller fw midels like contemptors but scrubbing in WARM water with dish soap was always enough. just be sure to touch every spot with the brush
This looks so gorgeous! Slightly surprised Jezza didn't do a mural, but everyone's work on this was so amazing. Can't wait to see this thing in some kind of battle report!
Really great, I never knew the porphyrion and asterius were almost as big as a warhound titan. I always love freehanding on giant amor panels - you made it look very tasteful without overcrowding the model.
You all prove all the time that you're excellent artists, but getting to see how excellent you are as painters is such a treat. And the different approach is so lovely. Thank you for sharing!
That Celestine is nuts. Coolest Knight I've seen. Love how the metals just look dirty. No shine, but the idea that it COULD still shine if somebody took some fine grit sandpaper to it.
next Jurassic park movie should really have some knights in it.... amazing job on the painting that Celestine is just my brain has not got the words to describe it.. amazing is about as close as could be. the dino one is great as well.
The way you have painted it that bright purple just makes that thing look more like a Knight in my opinion. The Forgeworld examples that are all drab beige just makes it look like something that resembles a knight, but this is very nice.
I love that these knights are like £400 and they still send you them we printing defects lmao. Paint job is amazing though, it really does look incredible.
If you make a freehand picture, and than chipping medium and on top of that another freehand picture, you can easily paint something from before the heresy, that was painted over, and the new one is chipping off due to battle damage.
An absolutely amazing paint job, and a great colour scheme id love to see some weapon variations on it, a power fist, is that possible perhaps with another mural, more pls, from both of you😅, im so delighted by your talent guys, ty so much 😃
As a curiosity, could you lot (all staff of TT, JS, Anyone Else Walking Nearby? xD) perhaps do a 'personal spotlight' where X person is interviewed/talks through their hobby journey, hobbies they've been involved with, noped out of, gotten drawn into and all the details about the journey to this point? Just think it could be a fun series of vids, fully rambly and aneqdotal (spelled that wrong no doubt) . . . Anywho just a thought, this looks great! Also, Jen's hair looks wonderfloof ^-^
Video 30 of commenting for Tabletop Time to make a Space Bear version of the Thunderwolf cavalry or Wolf lord on a Thunderwolf. But instead of Thunderwolves they would be Thunderbears and would use the Thunderwolf stats
Amazing job kids! I can just imagine kids everywhere, asked by their teachers if they know what happened to the dinosaurs, “the knights herded them away!” And at Sunday School when asked their favorite Saint, “Celestine! She rains down blood and fire!” Yup, just like Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing warped my childhood so long ago, your artisanry and fun will I am sure brighten a new generation with lovely nonsense. Thank you for being you.

Our first meeting, our first words...!" "COOL SWORD BRO!"
I'd recommend doing something like this but more like an armor modeler, something this big makes it seem like you gotta go the extra mile, not upscale minature figure painting techniques
Jen, actually oil paintings aren't supposed to have that sepia tone. That's old, degraded varnish and dirt, mostly cigarette smoke. If you remove all that, you get exactly the popping clear whites you used. Try watching a few of the videos by Baumgartner Restoration if you want to see the effect.
Wow this is beyond incredible...🤯seeing you guys work collectivly on one build is so impressive, incredible job! I won't even get started on those murals cause these are just fantastic! Migh I ask, I want to use "AK - streaking grime" as well as "AK- heavy chipping" for my knights too and now I'm wondering if I have to seal the paint-job (i.e. with mat varnish) first before applying the AK- products and using mineral spirit as to not "wear off" the acrylic paint as well or is this fear unfounded? Thanks in advance for anyone who might point me in the right direction because I've tried reading up on the issue but couldn't really find a definitive answer and now those Knights have been staking up for weeks even though I really want to use them in a game... =D
@@TabletopTime Thanks so much for getting back to me with your helpfull reply and so fast especially, I will act accordingly and see this as a sign to finally get back to my Chaos-Knights this week-end. NIce one! How do you get Vallejo Primer to stick (through an Airbrush) - the stuff just rubs off whenever I tried it (just the Surface primer - their Spray-stuff is great)
All the murals look great but holy shirtballs Jen's Celestine is Amazing!
Isn't it tho!? Jen has fast become my favourite painter on the channel, and they are all good painters ❤️
Thought it was sanguinius in the thumbnail
Nice seeing three different approaches to freehand, all of them look great!
Glad you like them!
“And the individual knight who pilots it, his pattern, which is the green checkers.”
Brave Sir Robin!
I kind of forgot that the TTT hosts are fantastic painters... Those murals look incredible!

That freehand work is just stunning. Jen, that Celestine mural is just perfect! Great job everyone!
that magenta highlight on the purple looks really nice. and the parchment freehand is straight up awesome.
You bob rossed the sh!$ out of those happy little trees!!!! Happy little Dinos!!! Thank you all! Really enjoyed!!
Exactly the vibe I was going for thankyou!

I can't believe it. You managed a green-purple-white paint scheme without it looking like The Jokermobile. Excellent work.
Really great, I never knew the porphyrion and asterius were almost as big as a warhound titan. I always love freehanding on giant amor panels - you made it look very tasteful without overcrowding the model.
I love how wholesome you all are.
The murals on this are stunning. Very cool that each of you were able to do one.
The murals and heraldry patterns really make this, you've all done such a beautiful job.

Holy moly. It’s like you all levelled up, stunning work on those murals

I adore the murals, they look so freaking cool.
It really came out great! And the murals are not only a great idea, but also so well executed!
Your freehand work is so impressive! I'm in disbelief watching the images progress
Absolutely amazing! Stunning! Crazy good! Love it! And thanks for naming it after us :O
Holy hell, those murals are fantastic!
Thanks - Dave reckons he's going to cover his warhound titan in them
@@TabletopTime That’d be awesome! I’m looking forward to seeing it!

8:54-9:36 the sound cuts out, but great video otherwise! Knights always look their best when covered in freehand work!
It looks great! I hope Dave is feeling better!
Just beautiful art work made much better by your fab camera work. It's so good when we can see everything that's going on.
Absolutely incredible work, with amazing freehand! I am so glad I sent this model to a good home!
Thankyou once again! What a fantastic piece to work on! We need to set it somewhere it can steal the show every time its on camera
Very impressive work, the paintings on the armor panels are beautiful.
Before I even knew anything about 40k lore, I wanted a dinosaur/cowboy army. I leaped for joy when I discovered the Megasaur lore.
The paint job and whole project is really impressive !
I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the murals at first, but seeing them on the final piece really pulls the whole thing together!
This came together so nice! Get job ttt ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Really like this video. Interesting doing different kinds of art on here than you would normally do on a regular model.
Those murals are stunning

All three murals are amazing but the meeting of the knights is 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome painting as usual! The silence there was really unsettling 😂

All of these are amazing!!!!!!!! I wish i had a fraction of a fraction of the skill yall have!!!!!
You are all such great artists! The little murals are amazing! And i love the overall look off the knight. Really you did an amazing job. Love it.

From about 8:56 - 9:24 there seems to be missing audio where there should be some? @Tabletop Time
Yeah, it made me wonder if my Bluetooth headphones had lost connection or something.
Looks like a rendering issue! Sorry - Unfortunately nothing we can do about it at this stage. It was just a chill music break
@@TabletopTime no problem! Thank you for making such a great video, that I could still just vibe and enjoy the freehand painting in silence. :D
That Saint Celestine is wicked , seriously I did a double take when I saw it.

from 8:57 to 9:28 the audio just stright up disapers for no reason. is it just on my end or is everyone getting it, if so, why?
What competition? I wasn't entering one. I was informing the channel owner about audio issues
Do you add a varnish to the base colours before applying the rust effect and using white spirit or does the white spirit not remove the paint?
FREAKING AMAZING, what was Jazza's response? Get better Dave
