I am trying to watch this while i am in a meeting at the same time and your comment about the DJI MIC 2 caught my attention… I have that setup as well and it is great with my iPhone but doesn’t seem to work with GoPro… looking forward to rewatching this when i can pay attention and see if it is worth the upgrade…. Okay, watched it again and your review is spot on! Thanks so much… my biggest thing you mentioned is the use of the DJI MIC 2 along with ‘future proofing’ for the next gen GoPro.

You can customize preset names on hero12 as well… Through the quik app though.

Hey Chris, amazing video! I have a question. So I’m a new user into the action camera market in general but I’m stuck between the hero 13 or insta 360 Go 3s. I know the insta 360 is convenient because of how small the camera but I’m planning on filming videos from the head mount position for my service buisness and fishing at some point. What would you be your recommendation?
Thanks Seth. I haven't used the Insta360 myself, so hopefully another viewer comes past and can give you a better idea of the difference between the two. GoPro is releasing a 360 camera early next year - The Max 2 - so that's something to consider.

Fantastic video Iv just purchased a go pro hero 12 I’m literally brand new to all this, and then a week later the 13 came out 😂, it seems like there focusing on parts/extras as you stated the quality is the exact same thanks again for the review top content ❤

Yeah, just saw the leaks on that. Very interesting. I love the low-light of the DJI. But when I did a side-by-side of the GP12 and DJIA4, I had to hand it to the GP for colour/contrast and stabilisation. So will be very interesting.
Hey, I just bought a protective lens replacement for my hero 12 black. If I upgrade to the 13 before I open this package will this be compatible? It's just the lens cover to protect the lens
I just compared them side-by-side and they are slightly different in shape. The 13 lens is clearly thinner. So, it may not be compatible.
Still a bit unclear is if my Polar Pro ND filters that work on the Hero 9 and 11 for example will work on the Hero 13. The Polar Pro site says: "Compatible with Hero13 Black, Hero12 Black, and Hero 11 Black", but then again some say the lens mods are not compatible.
Hmm... I know the GoPro Hero 12 lenses don't work with the 13. So I'd be suprised if third-parties did. But don't know for sure, sorry.

@@metefpv Oh really, that's good to know. To be it looks like the GP 13 lens is slightly bigger (few mm) but that's on the outside. the mount on the inside could be the same, hard to tell. It's close!
