- The Fluke MicroScanner2 can be used to verify cables and connections. We show how to test a ethernet cable and we show what an incorrectly wired cable would show on the tester.

Factori test date ?
Thanks
What end do the lower/upper numbers indicate? Like if the upper numbers don't show, how do I know what end is the faulty one?
If the numbers are not showing up - its because the signal is not coming back on those wires. So most likely if the whole top is out then your connector on the far side is bad (or the whole cable is cut somewhere in the middle). The bottom numbers are the connector closest to the tester - and the top numbers show the connections at the other side (in the adapter)
I have the Microscanner 2 and just recently noticed the wire order shown when testing a cable is 12 36 45 78. Any idea why it's not in order even when the cable is terminated correctly to T568B standards?
That’s a new one - I don’t know - let me know if you figure it out
@HTMWorkshop Yeah in your video yours shows that way too.
Unless you're stuck in a specific situation, you shouldn't be making cables anymore. They are way too inexpensive and reliable from Monoprice.
