OK I wish I'd watched this before doing my own Kantor, I'd have done a few things different. But I see we also did things very similar. We both used the same base model and Grey Knight Stormbolter. However I used some more newer kits, the power fist and pteruges came from the new multi-part Lieutenant with some etched brass fist symbols for details. For his left shoulder pad I used a MK3 one but trimmed the bottom rim flat and glued on a plastic wreath and another etched brass fist. I made a balls up of trying to recreate his classic backpack so ended up using a spare from some easy build reivers and glued on the original models banner. I decided Cawl would have upgraded the Arrow of Dorn and so just glued on an assault bolt rifle ammo clip to the side of the stormbolter. I had some spare bits from a duplicate Victrix Guard sprue and so added some extra armour plates to his hips. Then finished off with some reliques, tassles and a mk7 head with wreath just to make it match the original. I've just started painting him so he'll soon appear on my social medias if you'd like to see him.
That's sick mate - surprised they haven't brought out more Primaris versions like this. Loads of random different Lieutenant variations etc but this is brilliant
That is such a cool finished product! I'm probably going to have to limit the amount of kits I use a bit, but the dream of a Primaris Kantor leading a squad of Sternguard seems pretty realistic now.
I would say that with the release of the recent kits, you could definitely reduce the amount of kits used and still get an awesome result. Thank you for the kind words. :)
I have been wanting to kitbash my own Pedro Kantor. I think the new Lieutannt with a power fist will be a good base. The way to do Dorn's Arrow using the Grey Knights storm bolter and the Gravis Captain's boltstorm gauntlet is great.
He would be a great base. I did want to use him, but on ebay he was expensive and I didnt want to buy Augustus lol. Hope this has helped you somewhat. :)
Very nice conversion, I'd personally not have used the Aggressor shoulder pad. It's just a bit too large, but that's personal preference. There is only one character that sword could go to, and that's Gabriel Seth of the Flesh Tearers.
I've been contemplating this for some time but using Captain Messinius instead as he already comes with an amazing powerfist but your work is incredible and so much more indepth
I actually thought of using Messinius also as I thougt it would be a good base too! I say go for it, it's always worth the try. Thank you for the kind words. :)
Thats a sweet conversion. That Primaris Captain is a really good base model for a lot of conversions. I got one in the conquest magazines a few years ago, finally breathed some life into it by turning it into a loyalist Iron Warrior Warsmith with some 3D printed bits. Though mine only used one Primaris Captain to make lol
I only have a few paints for a future crimson fists army, not really the right ones. Mephiston red instead of Khorne red, grey knights steel instead of leadbelcher, that kind of stuff. The way i figure it, as long as I have Kantor blue, im good to go!
He looks Awesome! Can you do a painting tutorial for this model and any generic Crimson Fists? Or at least colours and the process you used if you have time?
Such a great video, how have I only just come across your content, would definitely like to see your painting process, can’t wait to hammer through the rest of your content, great stuff !

Ngl, watching the total annihilation of that lieutenant body without just carefuly saving both pieces with a knife cut was hella painful Yet you got some really nice kitbash in the end!

I used green stuff for his chest tassels and used toe captain in gravis armor body bc i prefer the pose over Tor's, and he looks more in line with his fellow brothers that way.

The amount of kits is less shocking than the number of Primaris Captain kits there actually are! Great video
