I’m a long time kit basher Since about 10 years old when I turned a mig 25 into a space cruiser by way of a Bismarck and a billion extra pieces I got from damage model grab bags from my local model shop in 1978. I think you might be my favorite modeler on Utube. As of now, I’d like some shorts on your process for sprue goo, types of tools you like and why Your paint techniques and process if your looking for a direction for future videos. Consider a static time-lapse with a voice over on painting vids. Hit that algorithm get paid and explode in popularity.

I do intend to get a lot of what you said going in the future; currently finding my footing in the world of UA-cam as well as striking the right balance between thus, family life, work and fun haha. Really nice kitbash. Showing the whole process (including the parts that made you want to give up) is a great idea, these projects rarely go smoothly. I'd love to see an Iron Warriors Warsmith conversion for 30K some day if that's something that would interest you
I think its important to mention that it's not all smiles and sunshine, I mean we are cutting up expensive bits of plastic haha, so the risk is there. I will definitely add that to llthr list. Thank you for the comment ☺️
100% agree, I've made some costly mistakes with a hobby knife and had to go back to the hobby shop to pick up the same model for a second time in one day lol. Can't wait to see some more 🤙

I made something similar using a normal primaris captain and Ulrik, i didn’t use Ulrik’s cape as i were not confident i could do it, ended up removing the helmet from his hands and using it, sculped the wolf skull on the crozius, ended up using a normal heavy bolt pistol instead of a absolver pistol, used a hand from the wulfen kit on the left arm and made him hold the crozius similar to how Ulrik holds it, then i used Ulriks backpack. A fine wolf priest for my space wolves succesor chapter, that is a lot more welcoming of the curse of the wulfen, therefore the use of a wulfen hand. Didn’t end up finishing the painting, mostly have the highlights left

I am so glad I inspired you. I think its Important to let folks know that it isn't always plain sailing when doing stuff like this; there will be the odd occasion that you don't think it's going to work and that is OK. I always refer to certain points of the process as the ugly phase, this is true for painting as it is for kitbashing. Once you break past that point, it all feels so worth it. Thank you. 😊

Great kitbash. Nice clean paint job on the model. You mentioned elsewhere about the painting process being time consuming. Looking forward to some introduction in that regard. Ork player myself so plenty of kitbash options even if it's a diorama piece!

Wow that turned out great I was really expecting this one to be a little underwhelming because of how recent and good the plastic Ulrik already was, but damn you knocked it out of the park. One thing I would have done differently was the wolf tail charm, which seems a bit too bulky up on the chest, I likely would have used that down on the bottom of the backpack, but yeah, got me itching to get back to work with my Primaris conversions! As for ideas for future videos, I'd love to see you do something like Inquisitor Coteaz, or if you're sticking purely to Rubicon based mods, Telion would be a good one

Looks truly amazing... Just one question, did you use some green stuff or equivalent to fill all the joints between the cut parts that you put together ?
I use a concotion called sprue goo, you may be familiar with it, but if not, it's just plastic glue with cut up bits of sprue in it. The plastic melts and you are left with a plastic goo. You can then use it to fill gaps/seems etc. It's a bit more unwieldy compared to greenstuff, but I enjoy using it. Thank you for the kind words. :)
Looks beautiful man. After the paint job it seems flawless, as if it were purchased as kit from GW. Someone once said to me the best conversions you can’t actually tell are conversions and will leave peole scratching their heads to when GW released the model, was it a limited edition model? Etc. I think you achieved that. Keep up the great work, kudos.

Sprue Goo is bascially plastic glue (I use Plastic Magic) with cut up bits of prue in it. The plastic sprue melts int he glue forming a a goopy liquid that is essentiall liquid plastic. It's not a delicate as green stuff or milliput and not something you can sculpt with, but it does a good job of filling most holes and you can file it down once dry. I hope that helps and thank you for the comment. :)
