This intro is F’n epic, SERIOUSLY well done. Haven’t played Fallout in like 8 years but just downloaded it again because of your intro. Video information is great too, gonna give it a shot later.
@Overlord_Actual_1 Thanks brother, appreciate that. So I went back to playing it after about the same amount of time, and I honestly forgot how fun it is. If you need me to cover anything specific in the future just drop it in the comments. Stay safe out there, and Good Hunting!
@@mid40sgamerF’n everything, I forgot what the F**k I was doing in this game. I loaded a save and I had like 600 pounds of crap on me walking like 1 mile an hour. Honestly, I’ll watch whatever, especially because it looks like you put in some serious work. Like I said the intro is F**king killer and the animated map graphics and the MTG cards are sick too. Keep it up and this channel will catch on, I’m 100% sure of it.
@andredavis7018 Thanks for the comment Andre. I’ve always been a big Fallout fan and I just picked it back up after the Next Gen update was announced, so I could push out a few videos. To be honest, I forgot how BA Fallout 4 was, and I got sucked right back into playing it. What do you think about it so far after just starting it?
I just wanted to take this time to thank everyone for all the comments and feedback. You guys and gals are great, and I appreciate you and what you bring to the table. That being said after the update drops I’ll be doing a more in-depth XP video that takes a look at all the different ways ya’ll mention in the comments. For those who liked the intro, I’ll see if I can top this one 🦾
‘@michaelcastillo7726 Thanks for the comment brother! Lol, yeah there are a few spots you can fall off. The good news is that you made it, and now you’re ready to grab some easy Xp for whatever build you’re putting together. Stay safe out there in the wasteland, and Good Hunting!
@Tackleberry_G1094 Thanks brother, I appreciate that assessment, glad it helped out. Dancing around issues isn’t my thing, I typically just like to fire out the information and close the loop on it quickly without a lot of idle chatter. Stay safe out there, keep your powder dry, and Good Hunting!
So the better setup for this is to get 10 Int, drink a beer from the underground shelter dropping your int to 9, then use the special book. Put on the suit for +2 doing that will get you 13 Int. Then pop mentats while doing this for 15 at night for 17-18. Can go even further by rushing to the city and buying a ushanka hat for +1 int. 18-19 Int in 15-20 mins of setup.
I know I'm a bit late on this but the method I use to level up is completing the settler quests for Preston(I know most dislike him but I don't mind doing his repeatable quests) as it's not only pretty early in the game anyway to start, gives decent xp(around 360 for me with 10 intelligence and no other xp boosts), and the quests he gives are normally short and simple, great for newcomers in my opinion. I'm still doing his repeatable quests now and I'm not new to Fallout or anything I just decided to come back and play and I'm currently level 36. Just mentioning as another option is all, great video though👍
@thepainkiller5527 Thanks man I appreciate the comment (and it’s never too late)! Totally a viable option, and quests work great for XP, there’s no denying it. Some people like questing, others like grinding (it’s always hard for me to find a balance). I put this video out really so if people wanted to grind out a few levels just to grab a few perks they wanted, and this was one of the fastest ways to Level. My favourite thing about the Fallout series is that it’s engaging and you can play the game in literally any way you chose. You want to go through the game with nothing but a baseball bat wearing a pair of tighty-whitey’s and sunglasses and just beat things to death you can! You want to really min/max a Stealth Scout Sniper Build and pick targets off with the best sniper rifle in the game for an insane amount of damage early game? You can do that too! It’s one of the reasons it’s one my all time favorites. It’s really amazing that they brought it back strong with an update and that I’m able cover a bunch of videos on it (since I played it years before making a UA-cam channel). Thanks again for the comment! Enjoy the wasteland Vault Dweller, and as Always…. Good Hunting!
@@mid40sgamer Anytime, also I made a mistake and said 360 xp when it was actually 260 but I think that's still decent because you still get xp from whatever you have to fight while doing the quest plus the 260 upon completion but hey it's still fun nonetheless.
@thepainkiller5527 I’ll have to agree, and it’s surprisingly been a lot of fun to play through the next gen version. I may do a few quick location guides on some fun stuff that New Players would enjoy (and ones who’ve played a long time ago forgot lol). And maybe some things revolving around settlement building, since I find myself sidetracked by building stuff. Thanks for the conversation brother, it’s appreciated!
@@mid40sgamer We all need a good conversation sometimes and glad you appreciate it. I mean, I haven't really played much of Fallout 4 myself as I normally just goofed around with mods and to this day I still don't do the railroad stuff but I just care about having a good time whether I finish the story or not.
_New Players!_ I’m going to play Devil’s Advocate: XP exploits, and the LCK perk Idiot Savant, aren’t good choices for first timers. *Enemies scale with you* . You need to have good gear to survive, and easy and fast XP can leave you without enough time to explore and find good gear before the _bad guys start hitting even harder_ . You’ll get plenty of levels, faster than you think, *even at 1 INT* . Becoming powerful isn’t just levels. _You need good gear, and resources_ . You’ll be stronger if you have great gear when you pop your next level. Take it easy, don’t rush, search well, and *you’ll be better for it* .
@ErosXCaos Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the Devil’s Advocate advice 100%. I almost did a more complete guide on not only XP but where to grab some great guns right away and how to pocket some unlimited ammo. I really just wanted to push out a way to get some Fast XP just incase the method gets patched with the Next Gen Update. Future videos will be more comprehensive, and will dive into why everything works the way it does, and the math behind it. Thanks again for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!
Aye I agree. This is only for experienced/knowledgeable players unless they want to have a hard time with the scaling. Would have been better too if it mentioned "exploit/dupe glitch" on the title.
I remember when I first played this game I discovered the old duplication glitch where you can have dog meat pick something up and then you grab it at the exact same time he does but they patched it... nice to see there is a new one lol!
@cody199X I remember that lol. There is something similar with conveyor belts and ammo, where you put the ammo on the conveyor belt and before it goes in completely you just pick it up and it’s stored the ammo and ammo goes back into inventory. I only do it for special ammo types you can’t produce. Thanks for the comment, and good hunting out there.
For console, the easiest way to do dupe glitch is if you press the scrap then a split second press and hold the store button, don’t let go then use your accept button on both windows For best way to get mad XP is use all the settlement space then make sure you can only build the statue, you’ll get a extra option that lets you scrap it So scrap the statue then place scrap it then place, rinse and repeat
@Blackedbean12 Thanks man, I’m pretty pumped that Fallout 4 is coming back since it was out way before the channel was created. Looking forward to making a bunch of videos on it. Thanks again for the comment, appreciate you.
This is a bit more complicated than most new players are going to want to bother with, I think. The easiest thing to do is just use the wood and steal you can scrap at Sanctuary and Red Rocket, and maybe Starlight Drive if you want to walk a bit farther south, to make a bunch of wooden shelves and caltrops. Poisoned caltrops are even better. You get exp, and items that sell well at shops, without having to trek through dangerous terrain, or perform a tricky glitch. It may not be the BEST way to earn exp, but it's a good way to get you a boost in the early game.
@chadnorris8257 Thanks for the comment brother, I appreciate that and I’ll 100% give that a shot. I think I may make a an all encompassing Leveling video with like the top 5 ways to earn xp quick. I just wanted to get this one out quick for new players coming to fallout because of the show, since because Bethesda may or may not come down hard on the gitchier methods of XP farming. That being said we’ll see what happens in the first 48, and I’ll adjust off what’s to come. Thanks again for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!
Encountered the infamous Paladin Danse's "Check your fire" bug, deleted the save instantly...it was a level 64 save. I was super turned off until I saw this video. Thnx man
@gandhichoron1365 Anytime brother, now you can quickly bank a level 100 save with little trouble. The duplication method is also handy if you get sucked into building a massive settlement, or want infinite ammo or caps. One bug they haven’t fixed is the negative perception bug so just make sure not to use Med-x while you’re poisoned, since it’s a pain in the balls to reverse. Stay safe out there, and Good Hunting!
@@mid40sgamer at this rate I'mma google every single major bugs I could potentially stumble on before I start a new survival mode. Such a pain. Anyways thnx again super awesone help bro.
This only works on the assumption that the next-gen update has done no bug fixing. I personally would have thought well known duplication bugs would be targeted first.
They are in the game since years 😂 i highly doubt it. But them being Bethesda i can imagine that the update will fix glitches but not the regular crashing
@lazywonko It’s part of the reason I wanted to get this video out, you would think that they would address it and fix it all, but I think they may have had their hands full with textures, expansions crashing the game at launch. But you never know. I just power leveled a character and duped a ton of resources without venturing too far, or completing any quests so I can enjoy a full playthrough of next gen, expansions and all. Thanks for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!
@Kurt_Tucholsky That does sound like a Bethesda move lmao. Fix all the fun glitches and not the fact that some of the textures for expansions are still purple lol. I’ll be really upset if they fix the pipe pistol nuke glitch haha. It’s likely they won’t touch the glitches being so old, but I took measures just in case. That, and if they close down one glitch, another will take its place. Thanks for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!
rather than having high intelligence go low intelligence and get the idiot savant perk which at level 2 gives a percentage chance 5x bonus to XP and with 1 intelligence you get it quite often. Then you spam statues and get more XP than intelligence method. The magazine can be grabbed by just turning away from the conversation walking up grabbing it and leaving the room. This wont affect the quest and you'll be able to resume the dialogue later.
@jedimasterkeanu I’ll give that one a shot too, appreciate you. Always went with high int since back in the day. I’ll try idiot savant, and I may even just put out a quick alt video on this method as well, one or two other alternative ways to level quickly. Thanks again for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!
@jedimasterkeanu After the update drops I’m likely gonna do another XP video with, what still works, (with better graphics lol) what doesn’t, etc. and I’ll include a comparison between idiot savant with low int, compared to high int.
@@mid40sgameridiot savant will still pop even if you have over 10 intelligence, just not as often. If you have other bonuses like well rested, lovers embrace and the bonus from the squirrel skewers, you can get silly amounts of XP in no time at all.
@recklessgambit3385 Next time I’ll make sure I clarify the method and add detail right away for you guys who already know the tricks. This was geared more towards those players who are just joining all the Fallout fun right off the heels of the Amazon Show. Thanks for the comment, appreciate it. Stay safe out there, watch out for Deathclaws, and Good Hunting!
@Ed-ealmighty Truthfully, I had the most fun putting the intro together, and wanted to make sure everyone who watched thought it was BA and got hyped for the next gen update. If the TV show came out like that I’d prolly watch it 3x over lol. Thanks for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!
@DaveManPrice If you are doing it legit, then that run may be bad for your health lol. However….where there is a will, there’s a way. You could manually save scum you’re game by uploading your saved data to the cloud, and then if you mess up you can download that data back to your console from the cloud and head back in to give it another shot. So basically rest at bed, wait for auto save to hit, exit game, go to settings save data, and upload Fallout 4 data to cloud. (Just make sure you’re auto upload to cloud is off). That’s how you get around games like Baldurs Gate Honor Mode, or Soul Series games like DS3 and Elden Ring. Hope that helps! Good Hunting out there in your Survival Run!
Sadly this method is only working by using a glitch. It doesn't feel "earned" that way. The best non-cheating and non-glitching method is a massive Gunner-Cage-Exp-Farm that gives you (depending on the size and various perks) several ten-thousand xp in only a few seconds plus a ton of armor and grenades you can sell, stims and RadAway for usage and weapons for scrapping. Just put 40-80 cages in a few rows and let the gunners be dragged by a conveyor belt into a hole. Shoot a crit with your tesla cannon or a fat-man in stealth mode and all the gunners die in a single shot. Just watch out that your GPU doesn't get overheated.
I wish the Vault Tech coat was always there but it isn't! I have only seen it in either dresser maybe 5x since this game released! I have played 100 of times like I have with Skyrim! I am looking forward to the update. Great vid, keep up the good work!
@BorgWolf359 Thanks man appreciate it! Never knew the coat was RNG, my last 3 Play-throughs it was in the same exact spot, had no idea it was RNG. Thanks again for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!!
@crispers702 The dupe glitch still works! The way I figure it, if they haven’t patched it with the update it’s likely they might not at all. It does make building crazy settlements a lot easier. Thanks again for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!
@workrestandplaysnooker You could try pressing square first, then immediately press and HOLD the circle button. Once both the menus are up continue Holding circle and press X to close both menus. This method also works well. Good Hunting out there!
@ryangrant6887 Thanks for the comment Ryan. You could try pressing square first, then immediately press and HOLD the circle button. Once both the menus are up continue Holding circle and press X to close both menus. This method also works well. Let me know if that helps.
Console command "scrapall". Scraps everything in the area that can be scrapped (including workbenches) and stores everything in the workshop. Saves an ENORMOUS amount of time throughout the game. Go ahead and scrap all of Sanctuary -- it's a one-minute walk down the road to Red Rocket, you can use the workbenches there if you need to. Then build fence posts and whatever until you run Sanctuary dry of resources and have loads of XP. Just be careful not to use it in a place you've built up nicely -- scrapall will erase everything you've built.
@stevenscott2136 Thanks for this, a lot of people have mentioned a ton of different methods to XP farming, from different perks to completely different methods. I’m going to compile all the methods in the comments and push it out in one video. Thanks again, and Good Hunting!

@AtomicEy Yeah I got carried away with that one. I separated intro in chapter so people can skip it, and have shaved it down to a quick 20 seconds in the last few videos. Wanted the first video to hit hard with folks coming back to Fallout and new players coming in.

@@mid40sgamer Yeh man the idiot savant strat is insane, you can easily get to level 80 in under an hour of spamming statues.
@@mid40sgamer good luck to you as well!
@jedimasterkeanu After the update drops
I’m likely gonna do another XP video with, what still works, (with better graphics lol) what doesn’t, etc. and I’ll include a comparison between idiot savant with low int, compared to high int.
@@mid40sgameridiot savant will still pop even if you have over 10 intelligence, just not as often. If you have other bonuses like well rested, lovers embrace and the bonus from the squirrel skewers, you can get silly amounts of XP in no time at all.
I watched almost five minutes and then I realized it's just the dupe glitch, kind of a bummer.
But hey, here's some engagement and clicks.
Dude that intro is bad ass!
@steved1355 Thanks, appreciate that! It was by far the most fun thing to create out of the whole video.
Bruh that intro This how the tv show supposed to come to in hell on fuckin earth
@Ed-ealmighty Truthfully, I had the most fun putting the intro together, and wanted to make sure everyone who watched thought it was BA and got hyped for the next gen update. If the TV show came out like that I’d prolly watch it 3x over lol. Thanks for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!
damn that intro hits hard!
@Lt-GhostR Thanks man, had a lot of fun putting it together! Glad you liked it. Stay safe out there in the wasteland and Good Hunting!
I said the same thing….it’s F’n awesome, wish other channels I followed put some more effort in like this. Intro hypes you up to play 100%
Only thing I'd add for the update crew is to maybe use the dupe glitch before the update lands. Just in case they close it as part of the update 😬
@badwolf7777 100%
Lol. Don’t think the Saugus Rush will work in my survival run 😂
Played Skyrim 100 times as well lol, another one of my favourite games. Played ESO for a long time as well. I’m gonna start another play-through tomorrow just to check the lab coat! Thanks again for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!!
Wonder if they going to patch the duplicate glitch
@crispers702 The dupe glitch still works! The way I figure it, if they haven’t patched it with the update it’s likely they might not at all. It does make building crazy settlements a lot easier. Thanks again for the comment, and Good Hunting out there!
I cant seem to do the duplication glitch, no matter how fast or slow i go across the buttons 😢😢
@workrestandplaysnooker You could try pressing square first, then immediately press and HOLD the circle button. Once both the menus are up continue Holding circle and press X to close both menus. This method also works well. Good Hunting out there!
That meathod works a lot better
If you see the scrap menu then you need to press circle quicker, if you see the store menu you need to press circle later.
Ive tried this multiple times and can't get the duplicate goods to actually duplicate.. any help?
@ryangrant6887 Thanks for the comment Ryan. You could try pressing square first, then immediately press and HOLD the circle button. Once both the menus are up continue Holding circle and press X to close both menus. This method also works well. Let me know if that helps.
@@mid40sgamer its also working on PC?
Patched? Can't get it to work
@adambroomfield1948 Hey Adam, it’s not patched. You could try pressing square first, then immediately press and HOLD the circle button. Once both the menus are up continue Holding circle and press X to close both menus. This method also works well. Hope that helps! Good Hunting out there!
@@mid40sgamer hey I'm on xbox and I'm having a hard time knowing what buttons to press can u help?
Doesnt seem to work only shows the store button
@jarnickvanessen2625 Thanks for the comment, another method to use if it’s not working the way I typically do it is you could try pressing square first, then immediately press and HOLD the circle button. Once both the menus are up continue Holding circle and press X to close both menus. This method also works well. Hope that helps! Stay safe out there, and Good Hunting!
So here are no enemy areas that respawn that you can grind? It's just exploits?
Why does my game crash on PS4 when I try to get out of the factory?
did the dupe glitch get patched in the new update?
@deimos8800 Nope; it still works on the PS5 updated version 🦾. Stay safe out there, and Good Hunting!
How do you get the statue
@gunnertrayler7994 The picket fences magazine will unlock the statue. Hope that helps. Good Hunting out there!
@@mid40sgamer thank you this did help sorry I thought I responded but my comment didn’t send I really appreciated the help!!
Hm, ah yes, Mentals
Does this still work?
@Sinatracle Still works currently. Hope it helps! Stay safe out there in the wasteland, and as Always….Good Hunting!
INT 1/Idiot Savant is better than int 10 imo
@tyrincarnate3854 Thanks for the comment! I’m likely going to do a deep dive into how Idiot Savant works vs Intelligence Maxed and the math behind it. Appreciate the feedback, and Good Hunting!
Man, it's not working on ps4
Press Square 1st, a split second after Press and HOLD the Circle button. Once both menus come up, continue to HOLD Circle and Press X to close both menus. I found it worked most of the time by just looking down at the controller.
Bruh
Str- 3
End-7
Per-2

Int-3

@AtomicEy Yeah I got carried away with that one. I separated intro in chapter so people can skip it, and have shaved it down to a quick 20 seconds in the last few videos. Wanted the first video to hit hard with folks coming back to Fallout and new players coming in.
Fastest way is if you put 5 points into Luck and get the Idiot Savant perk and scrap all the wood you can then make a wooden floor pallet then pick up an place it down again to keep the XP going
@TheeJRamz Thanks for the comment, I’m gonna give a bunch of these alternate methods that you and some other people mentioned a shot, and time them all. Thanks again for the comment, until next time stay safe out there and Good Hunting!
@@mid40sgamer I cannot remember exactly since it’s been years since I played but I’m sure it’s the same way as you did with scrapping but the savant perk can 4xs the xp randomly a lot.
@TheeJRamz Thanks man, appreciate it. I’ll 100% give it a look over the weekend.
It doesn’t work to me
Press Square 1st, a split second after Press and HOLD the Circle button. Once both menus come up, continue to HOLD Circle and Press X to close both menus. I found it worked most of the time by just looking down at the controller.
@supaboosta276 Thanks for the alt explanation, appreciate you. Good Hunting out there!
Oh it work thanks a lot
@otsomaki4444 Enjoy the Xp my friend, and Good Hunting out there!
@@supaboosta276wow thank you man
Reduce that intro like bad
@AUNTIELOVER Thanks for the comment Auntie. So by reduce it, do you mean volume? How long it is? Zero intro and just get after it?
Just trying to gauge since a lot of people liked it, and you’re the first who didn’t…so maybe in the future I can meet in the middle somewhere. A few videos with shorter intros, a few that just get into it.
Appreciate the feedback, stay safe out there and Good Hunting!
@@mid40sgamera tad shorter would be good
@fyb3rotik Pushed the intro to the video I’m working on now down to 25 seconds (same high impact style). I admit I took that one a bit over time, wanted to make it epic though haha. Thanks for the comment; message received, I listen to all the comments and take them into perspective. Stay safe out there in the wasteland, and Good Hunting!
