Bought them after your review and I can’t thank you enough. I had the best run ever and finally feel confident that I can run the marathon I signed up for. Never felt so amazing for 15miles. Best shoes ever
Re: sustainability - you should see if On will send you a pair of CloudNeos to review! The running community needs to know about the first ever circular economy trainer 🌱
hi Ben great video as always and it's also great to see your fitness coming back. I broke my leg about a week after I saw you so I am now looking forward to getting back to fitness myself. the Cloudmonster looks good I have never tried On running shoes yet so might pick up a pair
used this shoe as a demo for my 10 k race yesterday! Never heard of this brand, but saw it was swiss made so had a positive outlook, wow I am impressed! As a starter I am now getting one, just need to save some money. Wanted to buy the Kayano 30 from Asics but this felt so good on my feet!!
Aubrey running just did a good video on this. On summary both max cushioned but the eclipse feels a little softer and I’d say is more suited to the easy/recovery runs where as the monster has a little more versatility
great review as always ben! frm your POV, which is better? the cloudeclipse or cloudmonster 2? im looking for an easyrun/longrun dailytrainer since i alr have the takumi sen 9 for speedwork/races. would rly appreciate the reply ben, thankyou
hi @gong3169, I had cloud eclipse and the monster 2, and I think I can help you with that question. I think u should try both of them physically in store! both of them offer different "ride"
and this is why. both of the shoes have different enjoyment. the monster 2 had a speed board in the middle of the foam so it feels more poppy? that's the word I would describe it. and it's easier for me to pick up the pace if I wanted to go for some stride after a ez run but beware not everyone enjoy the setup of the monster! some people find it firm. but since they added a softer helion foam on the forefoot, it offer me a more enjoyable ride. But for the eclipse the speed board are placed in the bottom, and the foam they are using are the foam they use on the cloud surfers foam. so is more of a soft, responsive and stable ride for the eclipse, due to the responsiveness of the foam and the speed board for the stable element. basically u can imagine putting the surfer on a steroids + having a stable ride...that's how I would describe the eclipse.
if you still had a daily trainer, I would suggest you to get eclipse for those recovery, easy and just something cushion for your easy days. but if your daily trainer is beat up and you're looking for a new daily trainer, I think the cloud monster is more suitable as it can do it ALL. but like I said try it out at store and you'll find the ones that suit you!
yes! they are suitable for brisk walking, walking, or running in general! but I would suggest you to try it physically at store as not everyone like the feel of the 'bubble' below your feet.
You think these would be a great option for alot of walking? Im going to Walt Disney world and wondering if the 180ish is worth it. Im about 235lb and 5'10". Thanks!
Heavier than the CloudMonster One, £20 more expensive and no real ride improvements? A very underwhelming follow up to a great shoe. Will stick with getting the CloudMonster One on discount with this release.
Weight here I wouldn’t say is a negative as it’s offset by a higher stack and more grip ect. 10-15grams in a daily runner doesn’t bother me personally. Agree with you on price point, look out for some bargains 👀
If you are an elite runner and this is your race shoe, then yes, If not it doesn't play a role. Actually, you could get alot of benefits from the extra layers of comfort in everyday training. @@geert574
let me provide a celcius usage for you: "All the countries in the world with the exception of the United States, Myanmar and Liberia use the Celsius temperature scale." So whatever you think you did there, it's not it😄
Finally a review that actually shows someone running in them! Thank you Ben, I've been on the fence but I think your review sold me!

Monster energy and endless joy! 💫
Monster price you mean. 😂
Hey Ben! Saw you multiple times out and about in Seville and on the plane home! Love the vids which helped me gear up for my first marathon last week!
you shouldve said hi to him
Hope you had a good one!
My main complaint with On shoes is the grooves at the bottom and getting rocks stuck in them. The way the 2 fills that in is a real selling point.
Certainly resolves that with this version yes

Sorry to hear that Doug! Enjoy the process of getting back out there 👊🏻

I put over 600miles on the v1s and loved them. The V2 is so much wider on me and almost need to size down, pretty disappointing
Fun fact.. my first edition purple 💜 monsters still doing well as my walking shoes ..
What about a comparisson between the Cloudeclipse and the Cloudmonster 2?
Aubrey running just did a good video on this. On summary both max cushioned but the eclipse feels a little softer and I’d say is more suited to the easy/recovery runs where as the monster has a little more versatility
@@BenIsRunning thanks! Its exacly what im looking for, a sofrer cushioning for easy runs
Hi Ben. Just wondering if the shoe is true to size or should I go up or down half or a whole size? Thank you for your feedback!
Hi there is cloud monster 2 good for everyday walking for comfort?
hoping I could get one, if I already have the budget for it haha
I don’t like the fact that they don’t have all black or all white option especially at 180 price tag where there is no sale ever.
how would you compare the 2 to the hoka mach 5?
How is the original Cloudmonster for long runs?

Did you have to go a size down from your normal size from other type of shoes?
True to size for me
@@BenIsRunning thanks. Love binging on your content and rewatching them as well till I fall asleep. Keep up the good work, best running content! ❤️
@BenIsRunning do they have wide size?
Where did you get your blue light glasses? Give me link and code
These are prescription not blue light
As an average runner they are too expensive for easy/everyday running shoes...
Do u use the same size in the ones as in the twos?
@benisrunning I have the same question, please let us know?!
You think these would be a great option for alot of walking? Im going to Walt Disney world and wondering if the 180ish is worth it. Im about 235lb and 5'10". Thanks!
Nope these shoes hurt.. not comfortable at all. Smh don't waste your money

If heavier means better protection, isn't that bad for an everyday-running shoe. The biggest negative for me is the price
Exactly my thoughts can’t wait to get some cheap pairs 👀

difference between 280 and 295 grams is gargantuan

32 degrees is freezing. You running in 20 to 23 degree weather in your outfit. You should be getting frost bite
Celsius. That’s warm

heavier and wider for the American 250 pound shuffling Walmartians, another brand ruined to casualness
😂😂😂
