I used to shop Kohl’s for Nike’s because they were always about half off compared to academy but I’ve noticed lately that most stores are collaborating on prices so it’s harder to find deals than it used to be :/
I was aware of all of these. I rarely shop at Kohls because I find the prices to be very high for the quality even after discounts which are mainly based around the Kohls card. The Clearance racks can be a great find though, real bargains can be found there if you wait long enough.
As a Kohl's associate: -The ten days after the expiration is called "A grace period" -For Amazon, most of the time it's 25% for 7 days, some days 15% for 7 days -If a customer has two receipts that have totals that are close to elegible kohls cash, you can combine them to do so Other than that, I appreciate this video! It even taught me a few things I never knew ^^
2 smaller things, you should always get the kohls cash back on a return in the form of blue kohls cash which is good for exactly a month with no time extension. And about the kiosk thing, you can actually log onto the kohls app and use the store's wifi to get free shipping on any purchase without having to use a kiosk.
I just wanted to let everyone know that if you have the Kohl’s app on your phone, when you are in the store connected to their WiFi network you always get free shipping with no minimum amount required. If it does not show free shipping on your device, make sure that on the Kohl’s app for Kohl’s access location that you have chosen either always or when app is in use and it will work every time. I hope this information helps everyone to save money on shipping cost, so they can use that money for something else.
Angel Pace didn’t know this, thanks for sharing. I’d much rather use the app than the KIOSK, I have walked away so many times out of frustration, these machines need to updated, the bar code reader never works for me. Thanks.
Norma Z-O You’re welcome! I totally agree it is much more preferred than using the kiosk because it is more convenient, sanitary, safer and user friendly. I really like to share information that could help people hopefully have a more efficient and happy life. Enjoy your day!
Thanks for the tips! I did want to add a couple things. While beauty and toys are excluded from coupons you can use kohls cash to purchase those items. Also you can get free shipping in the app while in the store so you don't have to use the kiosk or spend $75 to get free shipping.
I am a Kohl’s associate ~ I tell my guests they have 9 extra days to use their Kohl’s cash because it expires on the dot of the 10th day. If a shopper shops at 2pm on the day they get their cash and at 3pm on the 10th day the system won’t accept the barcode. I don’t want guests to be upset and have a negative experience.
I'm an associate too, but at my location, we're not allowed to tell our customers that they have an extra 10 days to use it. I was heavily discouraged from saying it whenever I've mentioned it to customers
Yeah at my store we are only supposed to scan the barcode or type in the code. If it works it works, if it doesn’t then unfortunately we cannot accept it. Kohl’s gives you a week to use kohl’s cash and now even has it linked to customers’ rewards and kohl’s cards.
You do absolutely get your Kohl's cash back if you spend it on the item, if you don't get a manager, someone is taking the option from you. If you use the Kohl's cash you earned from the purchase them returned the item, you do lose the amount you earned and spent. I have worked for Kohl's for 16 years.
@@iammichaelhughes Same here. Since you're not allowed to try on clothes in store I've had to make a few returns on items that i bought online that didnt fit and have been credited back every time.
If you make a purchase and get kohl’s cash from that transaction. Then spend the kohl’s cash on a different purchase you do not get kohl’s cash back if you return the recent item you just bought with Kohl’s cash.
@@cassieross9365 yes you do, but if you return the merchandise that earned the Kohl's cash that was spent, you lose the amount of money that Kohl's Cash tiered is worth. So if I buy $50 right now and I get $15 Kohl's Cash, if I spend that Kohl's cash and return just $1, it takes away the $15, but only if you break the tier. Another name you buy $65 and get Kohl's cash, if you return $15, them no money is affected.
@@chuleto888 lol yes you’re right. I also work at kohl’s as well I just think I worded it differently. But yes that’s what I was trying say, there’s really no easy way to describe it in my opinion.
I have amazing luck at Kohl's getting incredible deals! At Christmas I bought my friend a sweater which was originally priced $36 but on clearance for $19,99 and I had a 30% off coupon. Well I put it in the shopping cart online but did not check out until the next day. The following day the sweater was on a price drop to $9.99 so I was able to get my friend 2, in both the colors she wanted. In addition to a 30% off coupon it was $14 & $5 Kohl's cash, they threw in free shipping. So for about 11 bucks I got two sweaters whose value is $72. Great Moments in shopping history!
Great video! My wife Jenn is a Manager @ KOHL'S. Everything you've stated in this video is absolutely truthful, and many "in the know" customers, that have taken the time to pay attention, research the possibilities, ask the questions and take advantage of these things, are reaping huge discounts and benefiting from them. Well done.
Did you say that the senior discount is 50% or 15% because it sounded like 50% and you may need to make it clear because it’s a big difference. Thanks for all your info
Senior discount is 15%. And not stackable. So if there is a better percentage out there, I would take that instead. And kohl’s still accepts 10 day old max kohl’s cash.
Thank you for this video! I just started shopping at Kohl’s thanks to amazon returns. I was checking out the big sales in jewelry and decided to open a credit card account and my savings that day with the sales totaled $375 in savings...I was floored...now I shop there more regularly.
Tip #12 - you talked about the limitations of free shipping and the high threshold (usually $75). When ordering online, sometimes products will be in stock at a nearby store OR Kohls will ship to your local store for free. In both cases, it is just a quick run to the store to pick up what you’ve ordered. I am guilty of placing an uber-cheap order just to use up expiring Kohls cash for something I can then pick up for free. And often it is for a size or color that is not available at my store but Kohls will replenish from another location...for free. I have had some wonderful coupon-stacking hauls at Kohls where I’ve actually been at the register and said, “charge me for two of those”, run back to the department to grab a second one, and had it kick in another stack so the second item had no incremental impact to the sale total. That is my favorite kind of shopping rush!
One thing I love about the Kohls credit card is that if you pay 1/3 of your balance, you won’t be charged interest. The show it on the bill as payment amount to avoid interest. Minimum payment is $50, but it’s great to stretch christmas purchases over through March!
From my understanding, when u use kohl's cash on an item and then return it u are supposed to get the kohl's cash back. However if u earn kohl's cash, spend said kohl's cash and then return items from the original purchase that gave u kohl's cash that would be deducted from the return value. Hopefully this makes sense it a little hard to explain.
"If you return an item from a purchase where you recieved kohls cash and the return brings the total purchase amount below the $50 mark the kohls cash will be reduced from the return" I've had to say it so many times so it's memorized. that may be easier to understand, but it can still be confusing
Also, please begin your Amazon return PRIOR to going to Kohls. Some Amazon product ARE NOT returnable at Kohl’s which is determined by the vendor, not Kohl’s.
Okay so I currently work at kohl’s and as far as Amazon, yes we do give different coupons for in store use only. However it is not always a 25% or a 10 dollar kohl’s cash. It changes all the time
I'm an employee at kohls and using this video to help train me for registers since my location gave me no training. Thank you kindly for helping me learn more about how this all works.
Please do not use this video for training purposes. He only touched a tiny bit of stuff on coupons and he made it sound like you can stack as many coupons as you want. However, that is not the case. Also, if you did not receive the proper training from your store management, I am so sorry and I would advise that you contact HR. Kohls is such an amazing company to work for and I am proud to have been serving over 2 years in my store. However, like with many big companies, there are those rare occasions when some stores do not meet the company's standards and corporate needs to be notified.
@@lanceparrish8163 don't worry, I quit already. HR did nothing about our complaints, just reprimanded the person who was supposed to train me. I still got no training, and same goes for my coworkers. Turns out it was a huge issue across the whole store. I quit after my manager was transphobic to me, refusing to respect my name.. which is basic respect..
I’ve worked at kohl’s for about 2-3 years so I’m very pleased with the accuracy of your tips on how to save at kohl’s. I do want to add one more thing, however-Kohl’s rewards. If customers join kohl’s rewards, it’s free and you get points which accumulates up for cash plus they sometimes offer some days where you get double points and one of the best bonus for signing up for rewards with kohl’s is when they offer mystery savings (where they email you a certain percentage off for a certain timeframe). I’ve actually had mystery savings up to 35% off before (but do note that this discount is a one time offer only).
Thanks for this video! I absolutely love Kohl’s and have gotten fantastic deals there for years! One tip to piggyback on getting free shipping from the kiosks is that you can also get free shipping using their app while you are in the store. I find that the app is much easier and less cumbersome than the kiosk.
I bought a pair of silver earrings that were over $100, for $18 using sales, Kohls cash, and coupons. Even the associate was floored at how much I saved. We do most of our Christmas shopping at Kohls and it saves us so much money. We also get tons of Kohls cash which we use on after Christmas sales. Btw, I just returned something and received all of my Kohls cash back.
As the amazon return person at my store we tested giving $5 kohl’s cash but are back to 25%. Some stores will have the discount and some will have kohl’s cash. Based on the redemption use for each, they’ll determine which will be used at which store
I work the signs at my store and I can say that there are items that are having a "big sale" but can be a higher price than they would be during a normal sale with discounts. The lowest prices of the season is one example where there are no instore coupons but "prices are so low you don't need them." prices can still be higher than if discounts were applied at the higher sale price from the previous week. It really depends on what you're looking for. The Amazon coupon is key for those no-coupon sales. Also, sales start like Wednesday or Thursday usually and end Sundays so Monday and Tuesday is usually the higher price days unless a sale event is going on. And find out your local stores truck schedule you can just as a manager and plan to shop 1 or 2 days after the truck day for all the new stuff that was brought in. Also you DO get the kohls cash back on returns unless it is nonrecipted, unless I'm gonna go in and work the customer service tomorrow and see the policy suddenly changed since yesterday. With the credit card you need to pay it off fully each month to avoid the interest, if not its like 25% APR!
You’re one of kind and that’s the kind person people look for in this world keep being yourself because I learned that people like it when you’re yourself
I have worked for Kohl’s for 15 years so I have to point out a couple of things. First, you do get Kohl’s Cash back, it’s blue, not green, for a return on an item you bought with Kohl’s Cash. If you earned Kohl’s Cash, spent it and then returned the item, you will lose the value of the Kohl’s Cash ( You have merchandise at home equaling that amount). Second, expired Kohl’s Cash can be accepted in the store if it scans. That is usually around a week, but you cannot use it online. Third, the senior discount is 15%, not 50%. The code on the esign is BB for Best Buy and the codes really don’t have much meaning for the consumer, it is to indicate to the adset team what the topper should be. While toys and Beauty and electronics, as well as items like Nike and Under Armour, cannot be discounted, you do get Kohl’s Cash for them. Finally, most of these things are revealed to the customers. Also, you never mention Kohl’s Rewards which is a program you sign up for and it tracks your purchases and your Kohl’s Cash. It pays you 5% in the form of more Kohl’s Cash and allows the store to tell you if you have Kohl’s Cash to spend when you check out at the register. Other that that, you do a nice job and thank you.
The Amazon return coupons change regularly. I work there, I have received the 25% and the 10$ kohls cash. U can use regular kohls cash 10 days after the expiration date, in store only, not online. Doesn't include kohls rewards or the blue kohls cash that u might get when I return. And it's 15% for senior day and we let them use the 35% the same day, all day when they open a kohls card. U get the kohls cash back that u used to purchase an item if u return it. It's confusing but if u used it to pay u will get it back.... I give ppl kohls cash back every day
One very important benefit to keep in mind when you're using your Kohl's Credit Card... Your purchase is interest free as long as you pay one-third of your account balance. This special savings is shown on your monthly statement as an "amount to pay to avoid finance charges". I just automatically take my statement balance and divide it by three and just round up to the nearest $5 to make my payment. This feature is especially helpful when making large purchases and it helps you pay it off very quickly without incurring any finance charges.
Also, if you see something online you want to purchase but there is a shipping charge, just pull up to a kohl’s store and order from your phone inside the store...free shipping. Sometimes I will just pull into the parking lot, connect to their WiFi and place my order. Free shipping to my home!!
Combining Kohl's cash and coupon stacking I was able to buy a set of $80 cookware for $27. Picked up in the store and got free shipping. Made a great wedding gift for my daughter!
@@thedealguy Here's one: I used a Veterans Day promo code, a little Kohls Cash and two coupons to get a $239 item without spending one cent of real money. The associate showed me how she made out my receipt for 0 total. I brag about Kohls.
May I just say that Kohl's loves people to know how to save money in their store! It is actually one of their corporate pillars for their customers to get the most value for every dollar spent in their store. They expect their associates to be saving experts and actively seek to hire Kohl's shoppers knowing they will make the best associates, actively teaching their customers how to save money in their stores. Expired Kohl's cash can only be used in-store, not online, the green Kohl's cash has the 10 day grace period. The rules for the blue Kohl's return Kohl's cash is a bit different but should always be check at the register to let the register determine if it is still good or not. Great tip on the Kohl's Credit Card. Customers can also make their credit card payment at the time of their purchase giving them the best of both worlds. Also once you spend $600 in a year an earn MVC status you do earn free shipping days each month during the credit card customer sale....see Kohl's website regarding Kohl's cash and returns. (You have not explained the Kohl's cash return policy correctly. You lose the Kohl's cash when changing items but not returning items.) The Kiosk is a great tip, don't forget to add your promo codes and Kohl's cash when shopping. It is actually easier to connect to the Store WIFI and shop from your Kohl's App on your device to get free shipping while you are shopping instore to get free shipping. Just make sure your location setting is turned on to access the free shipping.
Kohls is one of my favorite stores to shop. Btw, their quick drying towels are the best! I've owned mine for 2 years and they are finally starting to fall apart.
Hi there! I purchased clothes with Kohl's cash the other day.. I asked the associate, "I can't try on clothes because of covid. If I buy these and need to return them, will I get my Kohl's cash back?" The answer was YES. A couple days later I returned everything, got all my Kohl's cash back, and repurchased what I was keeping. I'm not sure if there's a time or product limit on that, but it's definitely something worth looking into!
In order to get the extra 10 days on Kohls cash you have to physically have the coupon. If you keep them in your Kohls wallet they drop off at expiration date
I recently purchased the wrong iphone case on Amazon twice....so, I returned both at Kohls on different trips. I rec'd $10 Kohl's cash each time and used them during the week. PLUS, the return was no hassle!! Pretty cool. BTW, they took the full $20. off a single purchase to my surprise!
1. Kohls cash can be used once its expired. I always tell the customer to just scan and see if the system will still take it. More details to why it allows it and its not always 10 days. 2. It works but only some items are part of that. 3. S=sale Bb=bonus buy During bonus buys There's normally no percentages off. Bgh=buy 1 get one half off You also have your generic signs that advertise the kohls card and the Kohl's cash and reward system. 4. Nike, under armor, Adidas, perishables, fragrances, toys, insta pot, lots of things are excluded. 5. Yes its wonderful but before the pandemic. We are so backed up with returns. Yes you do get coupons. Its normally 25% off. The kohls cash is a rare thing. More details on that. 6. Couldn't have said it any better. Most of the time there are other coupons out there that are better than 15%. 7. Sounds about right 8. Yup 9. Perfect 👌 kohls cash is a gift so use it wisely 10. My favorite. I hate that damn kiosk. The touch screen sucks. Once you become a mvc kohls card holder you get monthly chances for free shipping at home.
As someone who works at Kohls I knew of some of these. As for Amazon I know of 3 types of coupons. The 25%, the 5 kohls cash, and the 10 dollar kohls cash.
Wife and I wanted the ninja foodie... $349 initially. On sale for $229... they let us is the Amazon return coupon and we had Kohl’s cash for$30 bringing the final price to $149. We were excited and the Ninja Foodie is one of the best purchases we had purchased recently.
When using Kohls cash, pay separately for something or it is apportioned to all your purchases. I try to use it for one sure item right then and there that I know I wont return. I am not a."returner" like most Americans though.
As far as jewelry at kohl’s, it’s better to stick with the 50-80% off sales, which if you have kohl’s cash, you can also use towards your purchase, then to go with the BOGO 50% off. I have scored some fantastic items at these sales, and dollar for dollar, you do better with the %off sales. Hope this helps!😊
I have the BEST stacked coupon deal I ever made!! I wanted a white gold diamond Vera Wang wedding ring. The price was a little over $6000! So I waited till the 60% off all jewelry sale, had a additional coupon for 30% off one item AND a Kohls scratch-off of 20% off (for using my Kohl's charge) and when all was said and done the ring went from $6000 to a little over $900!!! My greatest day ever!! 💍
Yeah, if its online Kohls cash, it disappears on the expiration day at 11:59. I knew about being able to use the expired cash in store so I just assumed it could be used online same way. Nope! You know what they say about assumptions ...
@@FredGary it doesn't have to be the paper copy. If they have the number and pin we'll accept it anyways. My manager has always told me if the computer takes it we can take it. If they've got a screen shot of it, we'll take that too because some people don't have a paper copy (online orders)
Few things 1. Kohls cash should come back to you as an in store credit 2. Kohls yes you can policy allows a lot of wiggle room with discount, returns and exchanges 3. Don't shop with out coupons bogos are only worth it is you actually need 2 of the item. 4. Under armor and some of the other brands don't work with coupons. 5. Kohls cash does have to be $50 before tax or the computer won't generate it. Don't forget to check out kohls cares, only $5 and all proceeds go to the fundraiser
Kohl's does price matching as well. We looked at a Kuerig at Target, took a picture of the item with the shelf tag (showing SKU #) then went to Kohl's bc we had a 30% off coupon. They verified the Target price was current, then price matched it by going to the register with us. Then we used our 30% off coupon and got Kohl's cash on the purchase! It was an awesome deal.
@@simplydebby2530 I know. And as an employee, I am so sorry that this policy has changed. However, when I have done the math at the registers, usually when using a coupon, such as a 30%, and buying the item when it is on sale, the ending price is dramatically cheaper than the price the customer is trying to match.
From a currently Kohl’s associate, here’s a list of stuff that’s excluded from coupons: (15%, 20%, 30%, & $ off amounts) - kids toys - beauty products - name brand athletics (i.e. Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, etc.) - Levi’s & Columbia - premium electronics (i.e. Fitbit, Amazon, Nintendo, etc.) - Converse, Koolaburra, Timberland, Toms, etc. - Kohl’s cares - candy - sunglasses - Dyson - Kitchen Aid (select items because some aren’t excluded but I’m not sure off the top of my head exactly which ones) You can’t stack coupons and our registers will take the highest amount, so if you’re wanting to use a 15% and a 30% off on the same purchase we’ll only be able to use the 30%. Kohl’s cash, however, you can stack as much as you want which is super nice during the holidays when you’re shopping more frequently. Our rewards program recently changed so instead of points back, you get 5% back from every purchase!
I worked for Kohls for 9 years and they do return the Kohls cash. They will give you a blue Kohls cash that is good for 30 days but no 10 days grace period. They have been doing this for about 8 years now. You can also order from there app while at the store and get free shipping.
I have gotten the kohl’s cash back during a return. They have just given me a separate kohl’s cash with the refund amount on it and I would have 30 days from the return to spend it. I have had this happen twice with two different returns at different times. Always got all my money back.
No I have the rewards program too. It is definitely kohl’s cash. They give you a blue sheet that says kohl’s cash for the return. The difference being you have 30 days rather than the normal time frame for the green ones.
The way it works is like this. If you have spent kohls cash on an item you will get it back in blue kohls cash whitch is good for 30 days and starts working right away. However if you have earned kohls cash from the returned item that has already been spent the value of thar ammount spent will be reduced from the return. If the earned kohls cash has not been spent it will just be deactived. Also blue kohla cash does not have the 10 day grace period.
It sounds as if people have varying experiences. Just last week I returned pants that were part of an order in which I used Kohl's cash and even though I questioned it, they would not give me any Kohl's cash back, only the adjusted amount. 🤷🏻♀️
I worked at Kohl's for 10 years, did just about everything. The things I could tell you about this store 😱 Working here made me numb to people and nothing surprises me anymore.
Saving tip #13 for Kohls...the kohls Cash that you earn has no minimum limit to spend...for example...if you have $20 kohl's cash to spend you can buy anything worth $20 (even on sale or clearance) and pay nothing out of pocket!!! With other stores you have to spend x amount of money in order to use the cash that you already earn...😉...I know...I shop kohl's several times a week!!!
I went to Kohl's the other day and I like long sleeve t shirts to wear with my jeans you wear I'm under a blazer and I bought a whole bunch of them they're only $4 you just have to look and search they were not on the sales rack where it says 80% off they were not on hanging on the rack they were very nicely folded on the table so make sure you check out those tables!!😲🤫🤸👍👁️👖👚🕊️
I love your enthusiasm for saving and the amount of work you do to provide the best deals, tricks, tips and hacks to keep in mind while shopping that no one will tell you. You’re awesome 🤩 it’s always a pleasure watching your channel and learning how to save as much money possible. God bless 😊
When I returned to kohl’s I was told by the cashier they will refund you the kohl’s cash if you get your refund as a gift card instead of on your credit card so always go for the gift card since you probably gonna spend it there again anyway 😊
You get your kohls cash you used towards the items you returned back as a blue kohls cash coupon, good for 30 days, never as a gift card. I think they used to in the past, but no longer.
A newer advantage to the Kohl's credit card is that you can set up auto-payments online. 🙌🏻 In the past, I have forgotten an occasional payment because I shop at Kohl's infrequently and don't get paper statements. This feature helps me avoid that pesky, expensive interest charge the following month.
I absolutely love stacking coupons here. And this video was extremely helpful for my next holiday shopping adventure. I'm signing up for more coupons!!!
I have had to make returns to my local Kohl's store. I have been lucky on my Kohl's Cash they gave me a separate Kohl's Cash for the amount that was used on my return. I could use it that same day or up to a month which is nice. Thank you for all these tips.
Kohls was honoring old cash while the retail stores were closed March through June due to Covid, typically it is only a 7 day grace period on Kohls cash.
Covid closure was the exception for one current Kohl’s Cash redemption period. Rule of thumb is if it scans, it works. Other than that, the manager was doing you a favor by taking it off manually off an applicable item although flagging up in the system that he/she did it for you.
MOST stores will not honor it that long. You got lucky and it’s good for 10 days after expiration, not 7. Just have them scan it. If it scans lucky you if it doesn’t well they already gave you a 10 day grace period what more do you want!!
I have received $5 cash and the 25% off. I returned 4 items one time and received a $5 coupon after the first 3 items returned them another one after the 4th. Not sure if it was a fluke, but I took my $10, then kohls cash and a 30% off coupon to the counter. Awesome.
If you go into the store you can order from the kiosk or through the app while in the store and get free shipping to your house! Some items also have free ship to store so keep an eye out for those
I currently work at Kohl’s and I’d just like to add that, although you can use Kohl’s cash after it’s expired, you need the actual paper print out. The Kohl’s app will not let you use the expired Kohl’s cash. Don’t throw the paper Kohl’s cash away otherwise it won’t be honored. Also, depending on which store you shop at, some managers will allow our heroes to use the 15% any day, not just Monday. Our manager, as well as all the associates, believe they deserve it everyday so we honor it everyday!! 😃🙌🏼
Here’s tip #12 (or tip #1 for the next video) - besides the kiosk, you can use the app while in the store to get free shipping. All stackable coupons can be used on app also! Stack stack stack!!!! 😁
Kohls just updated their register checkout systems about a week or two ago. If you plug in your reward account we can now check to see if you have any kohls cash to use, in case you do not have it on you or forgot to bring your phone into the store. The system will bring up current and recently expired kohls cash. I'd also like to mention regarding coupons, VANS shoes can be purchased using percent-off coupons! They are not on the list of exclusions, though Converse are.
Honestly, I didn't even read the title before I clicked because I recognized your channel icon & the display in the thumbnail, so I was already hyped for the deals. I'll be going interview clothes shopping; wish me luck!
You should get a new Kohls cash when doing a return of an item purchased with kohl’s cash. It’s a blue Kohls cash that’s good for the next 30 days. Plus I believe your expired Kohls cash is only good for the following 10 days In store, not online.
I work at kohl’s and yeah we have a 10 day grace period honestly I tell every customer cause it’s money that could go to waste just don’t get it confused with rewards cash once that expires you can no longer use it since you have a month to use it The Amazon coupon only lasts a week and can only be used once Also just remember all percentage discounts do not apply to branded items such as Nike under armour and addidas I might have misunderstood about number 10 but you can’t stack percentages so if you signed up for the kohl’s card and you got your percentage let’s say it’s a 30% and then you went to Amazon and got the 25% you can’t take both percentages off your purchase. but you can take another type of discount off for instance if there is a coupon like $10 dollars off of $50 (just one example of coupon) you can combine one percentage with that Also if you have the app you can be in the store and on the kohl’s WiFi and it will also give you free shipping to your house Sometimes the kiosks are slow and phones I found work faster and are easier to type on. Fun fact if there is kohl’s cash that you can earn that week and you made a purchase on the kiosk say you spent $20 and you have items you want to buy but it will only be $30 in total you can take the receipt of you kiosk purchase and combine them to get that $10 kohl’s cash
I have gotten $10 when I did an amazon return. If I am not mistaken it was like at 25% off and needed to be used that day. Since the store was about to close I bought something and returned it the next day when I had time to shop. You do get Kohls cash back when you make a return on something you paid Kohls cash.
Back in April I purchased work boots through Kohls.com. I used Kohls cash to make the purchase along with coupons from them. The boots did not fit so I returned them using UPS (because of Covid-19 and stores being closed). I spoke with a kohls agent over the phone to order a different kind of boot and they gave me the same coupon discount I previously used and the Kohls cash as well. I would try calling Kohls directly to have them give you the Kohls cash back for future purchases.
Thank you again for sharing great shopping info! Congrats on your big day, you are extra "smiley" today!! I would love to know how to get a better price on our Directv. Love the Sunday Ticket, don't love the service and price. Would love to hear your thoughts on cable vs satellite
My two cents, as someone who worked at Kohl's. Kohl's Cash. So you don't have to actually spend $50 to earn Kohl's Cash. The threshold is $2 under each 50, so $48.00 before tax then 98.00 for the next threshold, so on. (This is also mentioned on the website.) At my store, you could use expired Kohl's Cash up to 10 days after it's expired. Any more than that and it's up to the manager on duty whether or not they can honor it. As far as I know, it's only in store you're able to use expired Kohl's Cash. Kohl's Cash works on everything except Kohl's Cares merchandise, Gift Cards or towards a Kohl's Card payment. Amazon Returns. Some stores have a 25% off coupon but other stores have Kohl's Cash. This varies store to store. Stores are testing different coupons to kinda gauge what customers would like to use. Free Shipping. I wouldn't even recommend the kiosk to be honest. It's can be a little tedious, especially if you're not too savvy with electronics. I'd recommend getting the Kohl's App. If you allow the app to use your location (this option is in app settings on your phone), you get free shipping while you're in store. If you're unsure how to use your Kohl's App, ANY ASSOCIATE should be able to help you with that. We're all trained to use the Kohl's App so we SHOULD be able to help you. Plus, the Kohl's App would have all of your shipping information already so you don't have to type that in at a Kiosk. Kohl's App. Let's say you find an item in the store but not your size. You can use the scanner on the app to scan the tag on the item. This will show you the price, and you can even view the product online. Viewing the product online will show you online price, the other colors it comes in (assuming it comes in other colors), as well as the sizes it comes in. You can select the size and color you want and if applicable, whether it's ready for pick up in store. If it's ready for pick up at the store, it means they should have it in stock. Kohls.com. Prices online don't always match prices in store. If the item you're purchasing is cheaper online (you can check this with the Kohl's App or your phone), ask at the registers if they can honor the online price. We do price matching to our website. Exclusions. There are several brand and item exclusions for most coupons. (Except Kohl's Cash/Rewards Cash.) Most of these are exclusions are enforced by the brands. Nike, Under Armour, Columbia, Koolaburra (by Ugg), Adidas, Levi's. There's a full list of exclusions online. Kohl's Cash and Returns. You buy an item that's $100 and have $20 in Kohl's Cash. So you spend $80 out of pocket and the $20 Kohl's Cash. You decide this item isn't what you wanted and return it. You get your $80 that you spent out of pocket and your Kohl's Cash back in the form of a blue Kohl's Cash. Another scenario that's common. You earn $10 Kohl's Cash on a purchase and spend the $10 Kohl's Cash. If you return the purchase that you earned the Kohl's Cash on, your refund is deducted by the amount of the Kohl's Cash you spent. So in this case, $10. Department Coupons. Every so often we'll get coupons that are meant to be used in a specific department. Men's Style Events/Women's Style Events/Kids Back to School/etc. They're usually either an extra percent off or a dollar off coupon. These coupons are one per customer but they usually stack with other coupons. Coupon Stacking. So let's say there's a "Take $10 off your Men's Style Event purchase", a 30% when you use your Kohl's Card, you have $50 Kohl's Cash to spend and we're giving out Kohl's Cash. Yes, these coupons work together. If you spend over $50 (after your coupons) you'll also get Kohl's Cash for your purchase. I can't really think of anything else.
Khol's have low cost fashionable clothes at the clearance section. :You may have to keep on coming back to find something that will fit you and looks good on you from the clearance section though. Be patient.
Seriously! I got approved for a khols card which for Christmas was awesome news. Using his facts, I got a pair of chuck taylors and vera wang simply purse for 6.28!!!! It was 78 bucks. TY TY TY! This works folks. I was shocked!
If you park in the Kohl’s parking lot and connect to their WiFi. You can order online and get free shipping also. Without standing at the kiosk. It works even when they are closed.
One of the things about the 25% Amazon coupon is that it does not stack with other coupons. The higher discount will be accepted so time it right. The best deals are all about timing at Kohl's.
Few things, as I've worked at Kohl's for years. Kohls cash will not work online after the expiration date, and no amount of asking us can change that. It's 100% out of our control. The register can scan a Kohl's cash 10 more days if it's a green one, but that's still technically up to the discretion of the manager. They can, and sometimes do, say no. Blue ones expire the day they say. You will however always get Kohl's cash spent towards something back as a Kohl's cash, that's what the blue Kohl's cash are. However, if you earn Kohl's cash, spend it, then return the items you earned that Kohl's cash with, your refund will be deducted that amount of Kohl's cash. For Amazon returns, Amazon has to direct you to us. If it only gives UPS or a Whole Foods as a drop off point, we can't take it. Getting Kohl's cash instead of a percent off coupon for Amazon returns was a limited test thing, most stores never had it. The codes on the signs aren't really a secret, it's literally just to tell us which sale topper to put on it, so if we see a BB on it we know to put up a Bonus Buy topper. PP stands for price point and has nothing to do with being discontinued, it's just to tell us to put up a price specific sign, like 9.99. Stuff that's discontinued will be under a "limited quantity" sign.
1. All our associates know about the 10 days kohls cash exception period unless they're extremely new. It will scan at the registers but YOU CAN'T USE EXPIRED KOHLS CASH ONLINE. 3. "BB which is Bonus Day" The topper on it literally says Bonus Buy and you got it wrong lol. The letter system is just so we know what topper to put on the sign. Really just different ways to say on sale. PP or Price point does not mean it's going clearance or we're going to stop carrying it. It just means it gets a sign with a price ie $9.99 for SO t-shirts or something to that effect. 9. If you make a purchase with Kohls cash and return the item YOU WILL GET KOHLS CASH BACK. However, if you earned kohls cash on the purchase, use that kohls cash, then return the item that you earned the cash for purchasing you will get a lesser refund because you wouldn't have earned the kohls cash in the first place. *TIP: If you make multiple purchases during a Kohl's Cash earning period you can combine those receipts for Kohls Cash. So make a $30 purchase on Tuesday. Go back Friday and spend another $20. Show the cashier both receipts and get Kohls Cash. Also works with online purchases but have to have order number for cashier to enter.
One thing to consider with the beauty and toys, while excluded from coupons you can still redeem and earn Kohl's cash. And with the 180 day no hassle return policy, you can return the make up you tried on and don't like or the toy your kid broke 6 months after buying it. Probably won't get there anywhere else.
My Kohls used to take expired Kohls cash. They stopped a year ago. Fully disclosed for almost a month before they stopped. Every cashier was disclosing it when they were handing out Kohls cash
It truly is store specific. Our store still takes it 10 days past the expiration date, but a store not far from ours doesn't. I would tell folks to hang onto it and try another location.
I'm a current active associate at kohls and our returns do give the kohls cash back to the consumer. Not if they earned kohls cash on the purchase and spent that then that will be taken off of the return but thats it.
As a former employee, here a few things: 1. Correction on the return and Kohl's cash: If you use the Kohl's cash BEFORE you return the original item, then you WILL lose your Kohl's cash. Right info, incorrect scenario. 2. On an item return, if you do not have a receipt, you can either do an even exchange OR receive a store credit for the lowest sale price in the last 6 months prior to the return. 3. On an item return, if you purchased something on your Kohl's CC and did not have the receipt, the system can look up the item {within a 13-month timeframe} and return it for the price your paid, otherwise #2 is in effect.
If you are not a fan of the kiosk, use your phone, as long as you are on Kohl’s WiFi you get free shipping. I once had my order all ready for checkout and I had a few errands to run, went through kohl’s parking lot logged on their WiFi placed my order..... Free shipping!
If you enjoyed this video, please give it a THUMBS UP. I'm trying to get to 12,000 LIKES! 😀 Do you visit Kohl's often - why or why not?
👇 TELL US IN THE COMMENTS BELOW 👇
and a big thank you to @michelle e and @lesilie lesilie for your contributions to this video!
I used to shop Kohl’s for Nike’s because they were always about half off compared to academy but I’ve noticed lately that most stores are collaborating on prices so it’s harder to find deals than it used to be :/
The Deal Guy can you do this for old navy or bath and body please if possible thx really love ur channel new here so I gotta catch up
I was aware of all of these. I rarely shop at Kohls because I find the prices to be very high for the quality even after discounts which are mainly based around the Kohls card. The Clearance racks can be a great find though, real bargains can be found there if you wait long enough.
Thank you for the information!!! 😊
As a Kohl's associate:
-The ten days after the expiration is called "A grace period"
-For Amazon, most of the time it's 25% for 7 days, some days 15% for 7 days
-If a customer has two receipts that have totals that are close to elegible kohls cash, you can combine them to do so
Other than that, I appreciate this video! It even taught me a few things I never knew ^^
You can’t combine them
2 smaller things, you should always get the kohls cash back on a return in the form of blue kohls cash which is good for exactly a month with no time extension.
I don’t want guests to be upset and have a negative experience.
that's actually very thoughtful
I have always been credited my Koh's cash on returns.
Well done.
Tell your wife Jenn I said hello! 👋🏼
Did you say that the senior discount is 50% or 15% because it sounded like 50% and you may need to make it clear because it’s a big difference. Thanks for all your info
@PieceOfToast some store accepts
@PieceOfToast I just used my expired kohls cash two days ago. I'm guessing it varies from store to store
Hi Elaine, thank you for such an amazing tip!! I get a rush from deals/saving money also 😉
One thing I love about the Kohls credit card is that if you pay 1/3 of your balance, you won’t be charged interest. The show it on the bill as payment amount to avoid interest. Minimum payment is $50, but it’s great to stretch christmas purchases over through March!
Good tip Beth!
@@ashleya3731 yes! I also tell people who try to complicate it that they have $10 worth of kohl's merchandise at home that you can't have for free.
Also, please begin your Amazon return PRIOR to going to Kohls. Some Amazon product ARE NOT returnable at Kohl’s which is determined by the vendor, not Kohl’s.
Really? I didn't know this one. I do now, thanks. 😊
Okay so I currently work at kohl’s and as far as Amazon, yes we do give different coupons for in store use only. However it is not always a 25% or a 10 dollar kohl’s cash. It changes all the time
12:35 yes they do, you get a blue Kohl's cash paper along with your return....
It's 15% off on Wednesday's at Kohl's for people 60 and over not 50% off. I just called and checked with my store.
Is that in store sales only?
😞
@@ellieatteberry8164 yes
Thank you! 😊
Hahaha! I thought I heard him say 50% too. I was about to be really peeved not taking my mother on Wednesdays for half off. 😛
Fantastic tip! Thank you
Make sure you have your location services on your phone turned on while you are in the store doing this or it will not give you the free shipping.
You just have to be on the store’s WiFi to get free in store shipping
My Kohl's recently changed from 25% to $5.
I love being an employee watching this 😂
Me too 😂
Factss
Ok but can I get y’all discount tho.... lol @sheila debeary
Same! Lol
It's killing me😂😂😂
You’re one of kind and that’s the kind person people look for in this world keep being yourself because I learned that people like it when you’re yourself
Also free shipping is offered to MVC members which are credit card members that spend over $600 in the store in a year. You get a code to enter.
Free shipping is available to any customer who orders in store at the kiosk or using the kohl’s WiFi.
Yep. I have done this many times..works great if living near Kohls.. I'm like 10 mins away
Combining Kohl's cash and coupon stacking I was able to buy a set of $80 cookware for $27. Picked up in the store and got free shipping. Made a great wedding gift for my daughter!
I love the story of a good deal!
@@thedealguy Here's one: I used a Veterans Day promo code, a little Kohls Cash and two coupons to get a $239 item without spending one cent of real money. The associate showed me how she made out my receipt for 0 total. I brag about Kohls.
When you have the Kohl's credit card and you frequently shop you will also get free shipping usually several days out of the month with no minimum.
I may have been mishearing, but it sounded like you said the senior discount is 50% but it is in fact 15%.
omg I heard that too. Same for military I bet, better tell my daughter I got heard wrong.
I heard the same thing lol i was about to clarify that lol 😂
My captioning actually 50%. I believe it's 15 tho
I heard 50% for seniors and 15% for Military
I work for Kohl's and I can say with certainty that the senior discount is 15%.
1. Kohls cash can be used once its expired. I always tell the customer to just scan and see if the system will still take it. More details to why it allows it and its not always 10 days.
2. It works but only some items are part of that.
3.
S=sale
Bb=bonus buy
During bonus buys There's normally no percentages off.
Bgh=buy 1 get one half off
You also have your generic signs that advertise the kohls card and the Kohl's cash and reward system.
7. Sounds about right
8. Yup
9. Perfect 👌 kohls cash is a gift so use it wisely
First of all, congrats on your wedding, wish you all the best. Lots of love from Rwanda 🇷🇼 🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼
Thank you Donah!
Didn’t EVEN know!! Again BLESSED TO BOTH! Thanks Be To God. 🙏🏻
Wow...did not know! Best wishes for a happy life!!!
Wow, what a great deal story!
The expired Kohl's Cash is only available in store only, or at least that's what my manager always said.
Yes. We have to manually accept it in store
Exactly
the expired Kohl's cash will scan for 10 days after expiration but you must have the paper copy and can only be used in store.
Yea but the senior discount or military will not stack with the 30% off they do every month.
Correct 😀
The grace period Kohl’s offers is 10 days past the due date in store only 😊. It’s a great place to shop!
This has changed. If you price match, you are not allowed to use coupons on price matched items anymore.
@@lanceparrish8163 That is bad news!
@@simplydebby2530 I know. And as an employee, I am so sorry that this policy has changed. However, when I have done the math at the registers, usually when using a coupon, such as a 30%, and buying the item when it is on sale, the ending price is dramatically cheaper than the price the customer is trying to match.
From a currently Kohl’s associate, here’s a list of stuff that’s excluded from coupons: (15%, 20%, 30%, & $ off amounts)
- kids toys
- beauty products
- name brand athletics (i.e. Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, etc.)
- Levi’s & Columbia
- premium electronics (i.e. Fitbit, Amazon, Nintendo, etc.)
- Converse, Koolaburra, Timberland, Toms, etc.
- Kohl’s cares
- candy
- sunglasses
- Dyson
- Kitchen Aid (select items because some aren’t excluded but I’m not sure off the top of my head exactly which ones)
You can’t stack coupons and our registers will take the highest amount, so if you’re wanting to use a 15% and a 30% off on the same purchase we’ll only be able to use the 30%.
Yes you do it blue Kohls cash good for 30 day
Might have been rewards then.
The things I could tell you about this store 😱
Working here made me numb to people and nothing surprises me anymore.
If you make a return that you spent Kohl’s cash on, you’ll get a blue Kohl’s cash in the amount that you spent good for 30 days from the return date
This is only done during the redemption time.
Yes they do have some great finds from time to time if you look hard for them!
Been watching your channel for a few weeks now, and wanted to give you a BIG THANKS for all the time you dedicate to these great videos!
"BB" stands for Bonus Buys, and the codes are for the Ad Set team to know which sign topper to put up in the sign holder.
I absolutely love stacking coupons here. And this video was extremely helpful for my next holiday shopping adventure. I'm signing up for more coupons!!!
Thanks for watching Ray!
@@thedealguy you have saved me a lot in the past year. I will continue watching and suggesting people to watch you. Thank you!
I have had to make returns to my local Kohl's store. I have been lucky on my Kohl's Cash they gave me a separate Kohl's Cash for the amount that was used on my return. I could use it that same day or up to a month which is nice. Thank you for all these tips.
I and my daughters have been using expired Kohl cash for years. My daughter used one that was 3 months expired. Yea!
Don't expect that to happen at every Kohl's store or at every visit.
My Kohl's gives 10 days. If it scans we take it. If it does not scan you can't use it.
I have received $5 cash and the 25% off. I returned 4 items one time and received a $5 coupon after the first 3 items returned them another one after the 4th. Not sure if it was a fluke, but I took my $10, then kohls cash and a 30% off coupon to the counter. Awesome.
Also, with the Kohls CC you get a free shipping coupon about once a month.
Really depends on the managers though. A previous store I worked at the manager didn't allow it, but did allow leniency for the senior discount
You're incredible! I absolutely love your videos. I live in Canada and have never even seen a Kohl's, but I still watched the video haha.
I work at kohl’s and yeah we have a 10 day grace period honestly I tell every customer cause it’s money that could go to waste just don’t get it confused with rewards cash once that expires you can no longer use it since you have a month to use it
The Amazon coupon only lasts a week and can only be used once
Also just remember all percentage discounts do not apply to branded items such as Nike under armour and addidas
I might have misunderstood about number 10 but you can’t stack percentages so if you signed up for the kohl’s card and you got your percentage let’s say it’s a 30% and then you went to Amazon and got the 25% you can’t take both percentages off your purchase. but you can take another type of discount off for instance if there is a coupon like $10 dollars off of $50 (just one example of coupon) you can combine one percentage with that
Also if you have the app you can be in the store and on the kohl’s WiFi and it will also give you free shipping to your house
Sometimes the kiosks are slow and phones I found work faster and are easier to type on.
Fun fact if there is kohl’s cash that you can earn that week and you made a purchase on the kiosk say you spent $20 and you have items you want to buy but it will only be $30 in total you can take the receipt of you kiosk purchase and combine them to get that $10 kohl’s cash
I literally just got off my shift there and I'm watching this, maybe I'm a masochist or I just really like at home training.
Same thing here!! I learned more from this video than my training😂😂😂
I've introduced my daughter to your videos. You are very entertaining and I get a kick out of your enthusiasm. It makes me smile.
You can get free shipping from your kohl’s app while in the store. Half the time the kiosk doesn’t work at my location
Yes l find the kiosk very hard to use. By the time you are done, your fingers are sore!
I have gotten $10 when I did an amazon return. If I am not mistaken it was like at 25% off and needed to be used that day. Since the store was about to close I bought something and returned it the next day when I had time to shop. You do get Kohls cash back when you make a return on something you paid Kohls cash.
Keep up the amazing work 🤠 also. Like your hand gestures and your energetic way of saying curtain things 🙂
(This is also mentioned on the website.)
At my store, you could use expired Kohl's Cash up to 10 days after it's expired.
That's good to know about the Kohl's cash. I've tried to use expired cash b/4 and was told too bad.
If past the 10 days yes it is too old
Khol's have low cost fashionable clothes at the clearance section. :You may have to keep on coming back to find something that will fit you and looks good on you from the clearance section though. Be patient.
I work at kohl’s and a lot of these we literally tell the customers 😭 and it’s definitely 15% where tf you get 50 from?💀
Some dont I worked at one part time and the management didn't tell... and most new associates only found out by seasoned assoc
Amazing tip Sarah!
One of the things about the 25% Amazon coupon is that it does not stack with other coupons. The higher discount will be accepted so time it right. The best deals are all about timing at Kohl's.
No percentage off coupon stacks
Kohl's cash can't be use online just in stores when it expired .
You can add it all to your cart and call customer service and they'll add it and place the order for you.
Omg I didn't know we could use expired kohles cash😭 thank you😊
Yes you can! I use Kohls cash online all of the time.
@@gimmelmom Not if it expires u can’t only in stores u can use it .
I was so hoping to hear you mention about the “expired” kohl’s cash. Thanks Deal Guy 👍🏻
As an absolutely addicted LEGO fan, Kohl’s is one of my favorite places to get LEGO because of the clearance
Coupon Stacking!!!! Awesome info, thank you. Set my alerts so I can stay on top of all the great tips.
As a former employee, here a few things:
Don't know if they still offer free shipping to stores for pickup. They did at one time.
Some items they offer free ship to store, some they don't. You also get free shipping to your home if you order while in store on you cell phone app.
If you are not a fan of the kiosk, use your phone, as long as you are on Kohl’s WiFi you get free shipping. I once had my order all ready for checkout and I had a few errands to run, went through kohl’s parking lot logged on their WiFi placed my order..... Free shipping!
