Hi Thanks for watching and thanks for feeding back, I am really grateful. You might find sometimes they are a little stubborn to remove, I have found the lifting and wiggling the pointed end while unlocking helps. Thanks again and happy Camping James
I bought one of these Wraiths James, but it's very difficult to remove, as I need to get the key in exactly the right position. It does come off with practice. I did panic a bit when I first used it on a site, as I thought I'd never get it off! Thanks for the video..... 👍
I must admit I had that a couple of times. I have found the key is getting the barrel length adjusted correctly, and then locking in position with the Alan key. So its not to tight or too loose, it might take a couple of attempts to get it correct. Also keeping the barrel lubricated with WD40 or a Silicone spray helps. Thanks for watching and happy camping.
We have just returned to caravanning and initialling I was thinking of buying the Alko wheel lock but though it too expensive so we opted for the cheaper Milenco Wraith. Very glad we did not pick the Alko wheel lock as it is very fiddly to fit especially with a twin wheel if the insurers insist on one lock on each axle. We had one initial problem with the Wraith and that is that the standard chrome lock barrel (diameter 29 mm) fits most but not all wheels. I you have a Lunar Stellar as we have you need the smaller black lock barrel (diameter 27 mm). These are available for free from Millenco stockists.
Hi Andrew, Yes I agree the Milenco is much easier to fit than the Alko, a lot Les fiddly. I wasn’t aware about the barrel differences, thanks for sharing here, hopefully that will help others. Thanks for commenting. Stay Safe
Hi Thanks for commenting, I haven't used the Ace, so I am not sure. However having done a quick google, it does look the same in operation. Hope that helps
I have two and find them to be a pain. They can either work really well or they drew a pain. I don’t know if mine are too right. I feel like they key might snap
Hi Have you adjusted the length of the steel collar that goes over the lock nut. When removing I also find that lifting the end of the lock body helps when unlocking
I have just changed my caravan to a Swift Archway Sport Twywell and I was looking for a Hitch and Wheel lock but found that my caravan insurance restricted me to the Alko wheel lock if I wanted the discount, they would not accept anything else! The insurance was through the Caravan and Motorhome club, so I would read your conditions carefully if your looking to reduce your premium.
Hi Thanks for watching, I am also insured with the Caravan & Motorhome Club, great insurance, with good reviews, As ours is a Twin Axle, We do have one Alko lock on one Wheel and I did look at a second to get the Extra Discount, However, If I remember correctly, it was about £10 a year and to buy a second Alko lock was going to be between £250 & £300, So I decided to not get the discount and stick with the one Alko lock I have and use the Wraith for the other 3 wheels, I am still covered by the insurance and it would be more of a cost saving not having the second Alko. Thanks for watching and Happy Camping. James
Hi Thanks for commenting, Its a problem I haven't experienced with our Swift, There is about 45% of the Wheel you cant get it through but the rest is fine every time. Happy Camping James
Here is the link direct to Milenco, You can buy this from quite a few leisure outlets as well as online. www.milenco.com/products/security/wheelclamps/wraith-wheel-lock
omg he did not release torque wrench to minimum figure, that will ruin it. One day undoing the wheel bolt the way he did he may well end up with scrapped knuckles
Hi Thanks for Watching and commenting, I have a Torque Wrench anyway for checking the wheel nuts, I find that having one Alko and the Milenco overall a lot less hassle than having to Jack up the Caravan on the Twin Axle to fit 2 Alko locks. Happy Camping. James
Thank you for posting this video. We (when I say we I mean my husband) fitted our Milenco wraith quickly and confidently after watching your video. 😊

Very useful...cheers. Do you know if the Milenco Ace is the same?

Always zero a torque wrench after using it or it will keep the spring compressed and knock it out of calibration
I am very Lucky that I have the facility to check it and set it correctly at work, It is also calibrated annually. Thanks for watching. James
Also, only click once.

Nightmare to fit on my 2008 challenger if the wheel is not in the right position the bar won't go through the gap in the spokes!

Nice shirt
Why Thank You, it is one of many that I have. Thanks for watching. James
Wow that seems a total pain in the butt
So you need to buy a wrench and a torque wrench as well
I think I will buy a Alko
Good video though

Milenco wraith wheel locks don’t fit 14” Bailey alloy wheels....don’t make the same expensive mistake I made
Hi Thanks for commenting, I didn't know that, thanks for sharing with the community. Happy Camping. James
