I've been following your vids for a while now and have learned so much more from U than I already knew from 30 yrs of engineering. Your explanations are spot on!
Amazing video Daniel...... Please can you do a video on how to use any of the sub groups and how to EQ and add some dynamics on.... i want to put one of the Sub group on my Kick to feel that chest punch
I already have a video about subgroups and busses and i linked it at the end of this video As for the kick, what you wanna do is send it to the mono bus and connect that bus to the subwoofers. I also made a video about that. In the description box of this video you will find a link to playlist that contains these tutorials
Let's say the reverb is fx number 1 on the effects page Then the reverb will return to the console on FX1 L and FX1 R on the Aux/Fx layer (third button on the left side of the console next to the fader of channel 1) Select that return (FX1LR) Turn on the flip fader button Raise the fader of the bus that should have the reverb Turn off the flip fader button That's it Now the reverb is on the bus
You would need a waves server and a Dante sound card not the usb one that comes with the mixer. Unfortunately i don't have any of these 2 so i cannot make a video about it
Hi man can we have some live examples on using mono/c bus .. how to route it and to send signals to it .. thanks for your videos and great explanations 👍👍
No. If you want other plugins you'll have to send audio out of the console into a computer hosting your plugins and send it back to the console But the effects that are hosted on the console itself cannot be changed
@@danielkharrat it's fine for me. I have a Apollo 8 card and UAD plugins. I was able to use one channel of the audio car as external effect. I'm curious if I can do it with all 4 channels. Should be... thank you again mate.
Hi Daniel. first of all thanks for sharing your knowledge in your videos, much appreciated. Let's say you you have a mix bus for live streaming, can you EQ or add effects without affecting the main mix? New to digital consoles by the way
is that mix bus going to the main mix? if yes, then the changes you do on that bus will affect the mix. if it's not on the main LR then you can pretty much do whatever you want because it's independent from the main, it's on a different output going to a different place. but if you make change on the channels that are going to that bus and to the main mix at the same time then of course these changes will affect the main mix
Technically there are 28 buses total. Mix (16); if you insert all your FX you can change the last four FX buses into whatever you want. Main Bus L, R, C (3). Matrix (6). Solo L, R (2). DSP Patch Bus (1).
No it's the same exact mixer the only difference is that the m32 has the midas pro preamps that are used in more expensive consoles and better faders and better build quality overall but everything else is the same
hello brother can you please explain the DCA? is it also a type of a bus??? I know it is a group thing and it is used to adjust the volume of a certain group of channels.... is it considered as a bus or what will be your definition of it??? it is the only part that I don't get and even after watching your video about DCAs still I have that problem in my mind!!!
DCA stands for digitally controlled amplifier The only thing it can do is raise or lower the volume of the channels that are assigned to it It doesn't have any other functionality It's not a bus It's not a sub group It's like giving more voltage or less voltage to the output of each channel that is assigned to it That's it just a volume control
HELLO I HAVE X32 BUT DONT NO HO TO SET UP AND WHERE TO PLUG IN MY DELEAY PA AT THE BACK OF MY DESK ABOUT 40 METERS FROM FRONT PA PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME . I RUN FRONT PA FROM S16 STAGE BOX AND WANT TO RUN BACK DELEY PA STRAIGHT FROM THE DESK THANKS 🙏
@pierreswanepoel8690 the stagebox outputs and the local outputs are the same by default so if you plug something into the local outputs it's like pluging it in the stagebox
The AES50 connection supports up to 48 channels of outputs. If you go to the routing menu and scroll over to the AES50 page you can assign different sources to these 48 outputs. By default AES50 1-16 takes the signal from OUT 1-16. You can assign the ultranet (p16) to AES50 17-32. You can assign card outputs to the rest of the 48 AES50 outputs. So on your stage box you choose which block of 8 AES50 outputs will go out of the physical xlr outputs
@@danielkharrat, thank you for the explanation. This sounds like a great topic for a video. I can think of some scenarios where this could be useful. But, would love to hear what others have used this for.

Or, simply search Michael Curtis “Why I quit using aux fed subs”

On this console no it is not possible to send a matrix to another matrix
