I'm 57 and what makes me more youthful-looking is being slim, wearing very little make-up (but skin glowing thanks to lots of fruit and veggies and a whole-food vegan diet) and keeping my hair long but not so long that it looks like a heavy curtain.
I am 45 and I find your comment so useful. Yes, I am stuck in mommy body but well.. got to go on diet at this age., won't be easy.. but how youbwear make up is also very gorgeous.
I think wearing less makeup will age a person. It will show all your flaws and imperfections. Why not look like you care about yourself and wear makeup. I look forward to applying makeup every day. The new no makeup look makes a woman look like she does not care about her appearance. I work in an office and try to look professional everyday with styled hair and makeup. Lipstick or lip gloss is so important to add color to the face too.
I agree. I, too am plant based vegan. I lost 60 pounds and it does help me look and feel younger. I am struggling with when to cut my long hair. Where do you keep yours? Mine is at my bra strap and I feel that may be too long.
Would love to see your hair with a side part and a bit shorter in length. Not too short but hitting your clavicle. You’d look so much more chic and modern!
Your heavy make-up is aging you and is taking away from your stylish outfits. Less multi-color, bright make-up would truly elevate your youth and match more with a youthful style approach.
In response to other comments here I think wearing too much, over the top make-up that I often see makes a lady look fake or that they're trying too hard. The natural look is much more appealing. Also, not everyone has the body to wear all these suggested 'staples' - - good undergarments make a world of difference, proper posture, a bright smile and nice clean hair go further than a Modo jacket or tight fitting jeans IMHO.
Thank you so much for the encouragement you give to all of us. I have been watching you since 2020, and Just turned 68 a week ago. Thank you for your inspiration! 🥰💖
Great job ! Such a relief to see fitted jeans not trying to sell us on frumpy loose fitting jeans as many influencers are trying to .. .. You look GREAT !
Im 5 ft tall and won’t wear heeled shoes at all. I wear loafers or ballet flats or my fake Birkenstocks. My ankle and cowboy boots are low heeled….about 2 inches at most. My feet have high arches….high heels literally hurt me. 😵😵😵. I’m an old jeans and tee shirt or white button down girl, so my refusal to wear heels doesn’t look weird with my straight leg jeans. I only wear dresses in warm weather so even then I’m wearing flats/thong sandals or even flip flops with my tee shirt dresses.
so cute, these clothes are adorable, and I'm going to find a long grey skirt and white blouse. BTW, i have a VB tan cropped leather jacket with fringe. It's a show stopper ! Thank-you for this video.
I love a button front shirt with a few buttons undone. It gives me a low V without exposing too much neck. I also love a popped collar, whether alone, with a pullover or blazer, but I have recently seen on-line that popping the collar is passé and an “old lady thing”. I have kind of ignored that and am glad to receive some validation.
Thank you so much! I always love your videos! As a stay at home soccer mom, my wardrobe consists of sneakers and flats, jeans and tshirts, as I don’t really have anywhere to go. I love the look of a blazer or leather jacket but I’d look ridiculously dressed up at the PTA meeting lol. Can you make a video on casual style ideas (flats or sneakers instead of heels, casual shirts instead of dressy clothes, etc)?
Thank you for this video... you manage to make us look more confident... I am going shopping and I was looking for something like this. That gray skirt and top look exactly one I have in navy color.
I agree, when I saw the Chanel bag I almost stopped watching and looked for another video. But I wanted to see about the jeans which are over the top for me. It would be nice if she has some dupes.
Great! Many thanks! Got me as a subscriber with this one! A topic that would interest me: what to wear in colder weather or if you are somewhere where the airconditioning is on full blast that still looks stylish and young and modern… a large cardigan or a warmer blazer are Wunderful to wear but look kind of old on a woman around 50 in a. Chic Restaurant… many thanks from Germany!
As I’ve decided to grow out my gray hair, I read to avoid wearing white because it can make skin look washed out. Do you have any other blouse color suggestions?
Hi Heather! Love all these looks! And I’m happy I have most of these wardrobe staples already! You’ve inspired me on how to style them! Express has a super cute cropped black blazer as well that I recently purchased! ❤
The cropped blazer just arrived and you are 100% right! The draping, material, and length is perfect for my petite frame. Can't wait to wear it this weekend! Thanks, Heather! 💖
Thanks, Heather I am a big fan of being the best I can be! I love the moto jackets but, I live in Israel and it is still in the high 80s here so my leather jackets and pants are staying put away. However, I did bring out a white leather skirt the other night!
I have arthritic feet from a life time of distance running. Could you please do a video on how to dress stylish while wearing supportive shoes, even dare I say sneakers?!!
Seriously? I’m sorry, but unless you are talking juvenile ruffles there are few fashion rules that involve “ age appropriateness”. If you have the figure, youthful look and attitude; if it fits you and your lifestyle, then go for it. If anything makes you look less youthful, it’s being judgmental. Just ask your grandkids. BTW I am 75 and I don’t have one friend who doesn’t have a few great pairs of jeans in their closet. Maybe you don’t live in the U.S.? Try jeans and a blazer, you can go pretty much anywhere; and while you still might be mutton, you will be modern mutton.
I love the look of heels, but I really can’t walk too long in them because I have issues with my feet. So I feel physically better with flats, but love the look of heels. If I don’t really have to walk, then I do wear heels.
Love the look of a white shirt but never found one to fit. I’m an inverted triangle so to fit my broad shoulders and Large chest I have to size up at least 2 sizes but it’s then to boxy round my waist and to much fabric to tuck. Even then no guaranteed it won’t gape.
I had a white collared shirt with some lycra. It had a placket but was zippered. So it would still come in at the waist and no bust gapping. Looking for another.
Although popping your collar can look chic, it is definitely not something that will make you look younger. A popped collar is typically something you only see in the over 40 crowd
I think it was Lydia Tomlinson (prob spelled wrong) that just wore the collar normal under a jacket - no popping it up. That reminds me of the 80s or 90s. But, to each her own!
I completely understand why so many "styling tips" videos focus on looking taller and slimmer. I struggle with a problem that doesn't seem like a common problem so isn't ever highlighted but I am completely hopeless in styling myself. I am 5'11.5", 150 lbs, usually wear a 4 or 6. I am all legs and arms with 36" inseam but a short waist. Pant legs are always too short but don't usually have much hem to let out. Same problem with sleeves and tailoring rarely adds length without looking "fixed". I am also inverted triangle with broad shoulders but slim hips. While this may seem like I should look good in clothes, I just seem to look like I am trying to look younger by wearing girls' instead of women's clothing or like I am trying to hide my figure with oversized clothing. HELP!
It seems like European stores often have jeans in various lengths. Have you shopped at Tall Girl shops? Have you ever tried on men's jeans? You might be able to get custom made pants for about $200-250. Some people even travel to Hong Kong where you can get custom-made clothes for a song overnight. Perhaps you could go there for vacation.
I disagree with a lot of things in the video, specially dark colors, silver heels etc. if you want to look younger- go simple white sneakers and light colors will keep you fresh. Youthful bouncy haircut is better then helmet head full of hair.
I don’t know. I think you have to do what feels and looks the best for yourself. Some women can pull off the no makeup look very well. Others, not so much and should wear it. As for me, I have worn makeup since I was 15 years of age. I’m now 72. People will act surprised by my age, but they might just be reacting that way to be nice. Whatever, I’ll take it. I think diet plays a role in how we look too! I think using a good moisturizer daily is very important as well!
The best way to become youthful looking is to take care of your body. It should be slim side and well toned. Eat well, exercise, have enough rest, lower stress and everything you wear would look good ❤
I’ve tried using bodysuits, but don’t like the way it looks on me. No matter how much I workout, my middle is soft and when I wear a bodysuit it shows the flab.
This is American style. To much make up...jeans in the evening..oh no...high heels in morning hours oh no...tipi al Zmerican woman...very easy to recognize American woman in Europe.
Im tired of women always trying to look younger. Why should we try to look younger? Whats wrong with looking our age? I think you look artificial when you try too hard to look young.😢
I watch a few channels with similar content, but it drives me nuts when the word “definitely” is used in almost every sentence. Please, influencers, think about your script. It’s distracting.

Where did you get your belt from you both were in the same boat where do you get them from? What is it called thank you look very nice. Thank you.
Me too

I think you would look great with shoulder length hair.
Would love to see your hair with a side part and a bit shorter in length.
Not too short but hitting your clavicle. You’d look so much more chic and modern!
About 5 inches would look more youthful❤
Thanks Heather for yet another great video! I’m only 65 years young and enjoy dressing in modern fashion. This is why I love your channel!! 👍🙏❤️
I’m with you at 68 years…been watching Heather for many years!!
Your heavy make-up is aging you and is taking away from your stylish outfits. Less multi-color, bright make-up would truly elevate your youth and match more with a youthful style approach.

I'm a huge jackets and jeans fan and really comforted that it's these pieces that give a more updated youthful vibe to any outfit . 😅❤
Your hair and makeup are always impeccable. Lovely ❤
This is a great video, Heather!!! Thanks for these staples suggestions!! I do have some of these in my wardrobe!! See you on the next video 😊
Great job ! Such a relief to see fitted jeans not trying to sell us on frumpy loose fitting jeans as many influencers are trying to .. .. You look GREAT !
I feel better when I wear flats because heels now KILL my feet and I don’t look great when my face shows pain.

Me too, I'm 68 and have a lot of back problems which makes me off balance. 😢
Hi Heather, your friend Cathy also looks lovely and very young, I love her soft natural style
I would appreciate a link to Cathy’s channel!
In July I snagged the Levi faux leather moto jacket in the color Red and boy have I gotten compliments!
Great video. I wish I wore heals. Not practical in Iowa. Pop collars here I think old...retirement.
so cute, these clothes are adorable, and I'm going to find a long grey skirt and white blouse. BTW, i have a VB tan cropped leather jacket with fringe. It's a show stopper ! Thank-you for this video.
Love this video! We need a video with Cathy!!
I'm new, but I loved the tan Nordstroms jacket with the black top and heels. Glad I found your Chanel. It was 👍 ❤

Much needed!!! 🙌🏼
You’re adding years with the long intro🥱
Thank you for this video... you manage to make us look more confident... I am going shopping and I was looking for something like this. That gray skirt and top look exactly one I have in navy color.
Heather you are sooo wonderful!
I have been wearing the VB Beverly jeans for a few years and I think the trick is get them in merlot, tan or olive. So chic!
Thanks Heather 🙏 Love your looks and have most of them 🌹
It would be great to include a more reasonably priced option for some of these items 😊❤
I agree, when I saw the Chanel bag I almost stopped watching and looked for another video. But I wanted to see about the jeans which are over the top for me. It would be nice if she has some dupes.
@@benniececiliamattox7426 I stopped at the jeans - not in this gals budget 😳💗

Thank you for styling those of us in our age group with your body type.
As I’ve decided to grow out my gray hair, I read to avoid wearing white because it can make skin look washed out. Do you have any other blouse color suggestions?
I agree with your useful suggestions 👍 I’m in my 40’s and on most of them without any solid ground… just go with how I feel will go well with myself 😊
Heather, love ❤️ the platform uggs from the prev video- I used your link to get them. Thank you 😊 for sharing. Hugs 🤗, Amy
FANTASTIC 👏
Love the looks!😊
Hi Heather! Love all these looks! And I’m happy I have most of these wardrobe staples already! You’ve inspired me on how to style them! Express has a super cute cropped black blazer as well that I recently purchased! ❤
How can we afford any of this .l can not shop at high end stores tell us where to get affordable places.😢😮😢😢
I love all these pieces and have some of them. I need a white button down. I wish I could wear heels other than block heels.
Great video, great production, you 10 years better
Thank you Heather.
The cropped blazer just arrived and you are 100% right! The draping, material, and length is perfect for my petite frame. Can't wait to wear it this weekend! Thanks, Heather! 💖
Thank you for not telling me I need a blazer! 😄
Thank you.
Those jeans are great
Thanks, Heather I am a big fan of being the best I can be! I love the moto jackets but, I live in Israel and it is still in the high 80s here so my leather jackets and pants are staying put away. However, I did bring out a white leather skirt the other night!
Stay safe 🙏🏻

I have arthritic feet from a life time of distance running. Could you please do a video on how to dress stylish while wearing supportive shoes, even dare I say sneakers?!!
I Love the Last one❤🎉
Have you ever done a video styling jeans and sneakers? Love all the denim!❤
Wearing jeans outfits all the time doesn't make you look more youthful. The phrase "mutton dressed as lamb" comes to mind.
Seriously? I’m sorry, but unless you are talking juvenile ruffles there are few fashion rules that involve “ age appropriateness”. Hi, I am trying to purchase the Ysl chain necklace and having problems. Is there another link?
Love the look of a white shirt but never found one to fit. I’m an inverted triangle so to fit my broad shoulders and Large chest I have to size up at least 2 sizes but it’s then to boxy round my waist and to much fabric to tuck. Even then no guaranteed it won’t gape.
I would try on men's shirts, or just have a tailor add some vertical darts.
I had a white collared shirt with some lycra. It had a placket but was zippered. So it would still come in at the waist and no bust gapping. Looking for another.
I wouls have to add, 'stear away from 3/4 length sleeves', they make aging hands look more obvious/stand out more in my option.
❤ so glad that I come across your channel..
I just wish that I am not stuck in mommy body so that I could follow your style as well.
Nice 👍 Love ❤️ your video.
Thanks ❤️
I love leather jackets, but I prefer the leather blazer over the moto jacket.
Love to wear heels as I’m 5’ 3”
Great video … thanks again!
Do you have a sample palette?
Very good 5 fall items.. we all need 😊

I don’t have an issue with my abdomen, but I just hate how body suits feel. They don’t stay put.
Love the cropped trench but small is sold out😢
I think the #1 tip is to weigh 100 pounds like Heather. You'll look good in anything!
I hate all the talking - just show it.
When older women wear tight clothes without balancing out the outfit with something loose; it can make you look older.
This is American style. To much make up...jeans in the evening..oh no...high heels in morning hours oh no...tipi al Zmerican woman...very easy to recognize American woman in Europe.
How can you wear 6 times in jeans need to wash sorry one wear or two not 6 times, 🤮😊
Her introduction is 1:10 minutes before the real topic is discussed...major mistake that can be prevented in the future vlogging.
same old same old nothing new
You really need better lighting. It’s too dark you can’t see your outfits. Please get a ring light so we can see better. 🙏🙏🙏
I do not look good in black and white!
Wow, most women look good in those colors
Everything in this video is soooooo expensive. There is nooooooway I am spending $300 on a pair of jeans
🙏🙏🙏🙏🥰💖✨👍🏻
😍❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🙏
69, sandals make me feel good with my jeans 😊
Hahaha call 3 inch heels comfortable

Old news.
Anything fresher?
And… to look at you all 18 minutes?
