Please double check on this: There are Two 1000 W inverters inside this unit and that is why you get 2 pairs of cables and all four are supposed to be hooked up when you use this unit. Check with Bestek and let us know, Thank you.

Great video. For those people that may not have understood how inverters work or how amperage needs to be totaled this what excellent. Too many people think they have the same power that do they do at their home when they are using an inverter.

That thing will draw close to 200 amps from the battery so you will need both sets of leads for any length of time use. Those 50 amp fuses will all be in prrallel, 300 amps. So it will kill a car battery pretty quickly and if you plan long term use you need to uprate the input leads something along the line of welding cable plus a very big battery.

I appreciate the review I've been searching on Amazon and i found this one with really good reviews, before making the purchase i thought let me look for an actual honest live review. So based on ur review on moving forward now i can say Amazon reviews were also correct! Thx !

Can it run like 4ft LED hanging shop lights or will you get a Flicker from light ?

Here is a question. My car heater no longer works and because of the video I'm considering buying a standard 1500 watt plug in heater and using a 2000 watt inverter with an lithium deep cycle battery for a power source. Would this work?

I'm trying to figure out the logistics. Maybe the best setup is a battery isolator and at least one AGM. Probably place the inverter somewhere other than the engine bay to keep it cooler. Then draw off that. When running a larger appliance just fire up the engine. You need a pure sine wave only if you're running something with a copper wound electric motor such as a power tool or hair dryer. Seems to me solar is just too weenie. Out of a 100w panel you might get an average of 40 watts an hour. Maybe. If it's a sunny day. You can put that in the battery by running the engine for 15 minutes. I'm still trying to figure it all out.

Will this run a 1500 watt, 12.5 amp heater?

The #1 issue is the 2 sets of cables! (1): Cables provided in this unit is a very low grade/Poor quality. (2): Cables provided with this unit is too Short in length. When using this unit with a Vehicle "Under the engine hood". The cables are too short. When vehicle engine is running. Heat from the vehicle engine causes this unit to over-heat. I have also found, This Bestek 2000 Watt inverter requires more power to operate then a standard engine Alternator can put out. The solution would be to install larger/High-end, Longer in length cables. Hooking-up two sets of cables to a standard Battery is redickulous.

Excellent video bro. I wanted to watch inverter working on a appliance. I want one of this for camping and connect simple things like rise cooker for example. Thanks 👌

Could I safely have this mounted in the interior and wired to the battery?

What are the inverter Dimensions. Bestek says something and Amazon something else.

Bought this one in Jan. '18 and have used it once and now I tried to use it again and it won't work. I called Bestek and they don't offer trouble shooting and it's outside of the 18 month warranty. What a waste of $ 140.00

I would suggest getting a battery isolater and a few deep cycle batteries so you don't kill your cars battery or alternator. That way you can charge the other batteries and never hurt your main.

Is the voltmeter this amazon product code (B01MG8V7ZA)? I see you also have this Meterk meter on your Amazon page (B073Y162BZ). The Meterk has a lot more reviews. Did you find any problems with the Meterk as I believe you're using the DMiotech in this video?
I checked the electrical tools section of your Amazon page but did not find the tool which splits out the hot and neutral (and maybe ground lines). Do you have a link or name of that product? That is so darn cool.
Would be cool to see it running a toaster with a deep cycle battery where you can record the fan noise without background noise.

11amps on the AC side (not DC side). that is 11amps * 120 volts = 1320 watts. I wouldn't draw that much from my batteries with idling alternator. Most car alternators produce 60 - 80 amps DC current which is around 840 watts to 1120 watts. I would never draw more than 1000watts or risk damaging the alternator.

@@mccarthykane3960 alternators are not built to constantly run, it depends on the quality of the build but the system week point is the alternator, there is however a pulley driven generator that is the way to go beyond short term or novelty such as the build in this video....Google Pulley driven generator.

First of all, it's an engine, not a motor. A motor is powered by electricity, an engine is powered by petroleum distillates. Read a fucking book. Secondly, you stated that it "converts" DC to AC. It does NOT convert it inverts, that is why it is called an inverter. Why the hell they picked you to do this video is beyond me. I am a licensed aircraft mechanic, I also have a background in electronics so I know what the fuck I am talking about. Education is a wonderful thing. Get your facts straight.
