Click here to check it out on Amazon: amzn.to/38nUC6N I'll be putting this inverter through a series of test and giving you my thoughts on why I believe it's one of the best low budget power inverters you can buy.

    I bought this three years ago. I loved it. I used it to run Pro level Photo Flashes on location. It worked great for three years. Was able to do a photo shoot with 4 Interfit Honeybadger Flashes hooked up at the same time. Unfortunately this summer it gave up the ghost when I hooked up a battery to it. It did a fantastic job, i was sad to lose it.

    if i am not wrong, the buttons on your fireplace have 3 configurations: 1kW, 1.5kW and 2.5kW - when both buttons are ON and that is what you presented.

    I just got the 1000 pure sine version of this. Noticed pressing the on button quickly makes it come on for about 5 seconds and then shuts back off. Have to long press the power button to keep it on. Also, won't shut off without disconnecting. That'd weird to me. Fan never shuts off even without a load.

    Do you think this can run higher than 15v input voltage..? Looking for one that runs off a 4s Lithium pack.

    Idk .those cables look too thin to handle 1200watts continuous use & i wouldn't recommend gater clips either .🤓 hardwire connection preferred 👨‍🔧

    I wonder if this is enough to run a full-size refrigerator. It'll be nice to have during power outages to ensure they food doesn't spoil!

    • @fromnothingalegend
      @fromnothingalegend 4 роки тому

      check the wattage of the refrigerator, that's what this video basically proved... it powered the 1000 w function of the heater, but did not power the 1500w function....

      It can run my older french door full size fridge, It's the inductive load at startup that's the issue with smaller inverters, but once its running my fridge runs at 170watts.. This inverter at 1200+ watts can get past the inductive startup, so is fine for an outage in my case.... but i'm probably walking a fine line as my other 1000 watt inverter will not start my fridge consistently.

    • @missmisiowa
      @missmisiowa 3 роки тому

      great idea. my fridge draws 50W and that is only when it's running which is like 20 minutes in every hour.

    • @coccoborg
      @coccoborg 2 роки тому

      It likely will, my 1KVA UPS starts and keep the office mini-fridge running no problem, but this model outputs a modified sine wave (basically a step wave) and that's not the best to run a motor, the steep transients will waste power and make the compressor run hotter/with less torque than it usually would. It will be fine for a short period of time (preventing food from spoiling during a power outage), but wouldn't recommend running a refrigerator long term on a modified sine wave!
      Good news is that a 1000w pure sine wave model exists ;)

    But does this gadget unnecessarily scream a bloodcurdling, deal·breaking beep when it's unhappy?
    And is it totally useless when the engine is shut off?

    • @geraldhenrickson7472
      @geraldhenrickson7472 Рік тому

      Not unnecessarily. Also, thi inverter should be wired directly to an independent battery with an inline 100A fuse) so it matters not what your car engine is doing.

    Is this pure sine or modified?

    • @jontyrocks3
      @jontyrocks3 3 роки тому +1

      They do two versions, modified and pure. Think the pure is only 1000W though

    so I can clearly run my 1000w ninja blender

  • @missmisiowa
    @missmisiowa 3 роки тому +1

    another thought is: power out from the inverter equals (more less) the power drawn from the battery. lets say you draw 1000W. math equation A = W/V A = 1000W/12V = 83 Amps!!! (from the battery to inverter) the wires you have there are nowhere close to what they should be. they would melt and cause a fire. take care.

    • @geraldhenrickson7472
      @geraldhenrickson7472 Рік тому

      if the inverter is not efficient it could draw well over 100 amp. I repalced my main leads right away.

  • @rider2731
    @rider2731 3 роки тому

    Thanks for the video, but you haven’t let it run long enough to notice the problems. I am quite sure there will be problems when you let the heater run long enough by pulling power from a 12v battery. Be careful buddy.
