    Stem fold hack. I put one of the standard dragon style carry bags on the bars but faced it backwards. Now the stem when folded protects the screen and I use a tie down to hold the stem I place when transporting. Works a treat plus it holds your stuff.

    Hello from Maryland, USA! Great review. I had one of the earlly E scoots about 25 yrs ago. It only did 12mph, had belt drive, external DC motor and belt drive . The battery was still deep cycle lead/acid too. Still we used it constantly and had a lot of fun with it!
    With the new tech and design you guys must be having a blast! Enjoy and take a few speed runs for me❤

      BTW
      I still remember how this all started. We used to have steel wheeled roller skates that clamped onto your shoes. When one skate of a pair broke, we would take the remaining skate apart and screw it to a 2x4. They were the original skate boards. Somebody decided to mount a vertical board with a small board for a handle. BINGO…. A scooter is born. Then the toy companies started making fancy scooters with stamped steel frames and larger rubber tires wheels. The first motorized ones used chainsaw engines and were likely to get you hurt, so they started using smaller weed eater motors. A bit more tame, but survivable!
      Then we got the first electro scooters. That only came about because of small DC motors with a bit more power than a vacuum cleaner. The stuff you have today is in large part a result of the space race and all the miniature electronics it created. Enjoy every minute. You have the toys our generation dreamed of and dreamed into reality

    Another great review. I’d love to come on that range test ride. I did 30km today and it’s still at 92% battery so yeah it’s got range.
    For those asking about this v the lightning v2 it will come down to what your preferences are. I have both and I love my lightning v2. It’s always at the top of my list of personal favs and it’s out done many a higher priced scooter in ride and power. If you want a more portable power house of a scooter go the lightning. If you want a fully customisable absolute power machine with the smoothest throttle control I’ve ever used but can live with the heavy nature Than go the name. Both are amazing scooters.
    Dray bud one thing the name is a 72v system.

    Hey, thanks for the videos. They have been great. I bought a Klima from Bike Scooter City and am wondering if it is worth swapping the dual piston Logan brakes for the 4 pistons? I see you have ridden both. Will it make enough of a difference? Would be nice to leave the regen off and just use the brakes

    Awesome scooter looking to get two of them for my brother and I, we both have Zero 10x style (miniwalkers) scooters and they are amazing, only crap thing is the 18Ahr battery, not a heap of range unless you go slow. ...Can you confirm the handle bar width 680mm?

    I can't decide between this or the Kaabo wolf king gt. Kaabo has bigger battery so more range, but also weighs more and bigger.

      Build quality is way better on the Nami over the wolf if that matters to you at all. Personally think it looks better also has much better suspension. But the wolf has a better light 😉

    Mate, where are you running that Nami? Which city / carpark. Also I am looking to offload a brand new Segway GT1 to change for a Nami Burn E 2 Max. Any thoughts ? Good decision ? You think I'll have any regrets? I already have an Apollo 2022 City Pro for City commutes / urban fun but looking for more thrills on some trails and off road

    • @dcunplugged31
      @dcunplugged31  2 роки тому

      Nami it's a proven platform. The GT1 is very new and personally iv not seen one in person or even ridden one so it would be unfair to comment on it.
      But I do know the Nami can have offroad tyre's fitted and power and torque is insane 😳 would definitely do the trick. As they are wide motors as well the foot print for going off road would be much more ideal. Thin tyre's sink into soft ground very quickly.

    wish it had a twist throttle the thumb one really kills your thumb! specially after an hour of riding

    • @dcunplugged31
      @dcunplugged31  2 роки тому +1

      The first generation Beast had a twist throttle like a motor bike and I found it very dangerous. Only because when you accelerate the g force pulls you back and you can't release the throttle so you get stuck in full throttle only way to stop it from happening was to put the rear brake no to stop the motors from accelerating

    • @davidfromdownunder
      @davidfromdownunder 2 роки тому +1

      Twist throttle is available on the new Segway GT series, meant to be the ducks nuts for intuitive control. I guess I'll find out soon enough as I have a BRAND NEW GT1 just arrive (IF I keep it, I am looking to sell and get a Nami Burn E2 Max instead it's why I am here checking out old mates video.

    • @dcunplugged31
      @dcunplugged31  2 роки тому

      @@davidfromdownunder The first generation Dragon beast had twist throttle and what I found was its actually quite dangerous. Motor bikes is fine as your sitting on s seat and the seat holds you in place. When your standing up the bars are the thing stopping you coming off the back of the scooter. So when accelerating you end up have the accelerator locked on as you can't let go. Like when you see people fall off a motor bike but they hold onto the bike and it keeps going because there's now nothing there for the body to be supported to allow you to twist back away from yourself releasing the accelerator. In theory sounds like a great idea but in practice on e scooter's it's dangerous.

      @@dcunplugged31 Yeah I thought so, I lived there too just off Grande Ave (Tea Trees Ave) a few years back but most recently was going into Lady Lions new home ground opposite the new carpark with deliveries for Hutchinson Builders including the newer estate development off Symthony Drive / Spring Mountain Drive. Looks like a cool carpark to test a new scooter in late at night when security isn’t around to pester you. Do you belong to a scooter group in Brisbane ? I’ve been meaning to join one for some experiences other than the normal run I do with my brother in law through inner city bikeways / veloways.
