Hey guys, hope u enjoyed this surprise reaction to my favourite show airing at the moment! This season has been WILD. If u missed it in my intro, unfortunately I have only recorded my reaction to S2E8 however if you did still want to catch just that episode uncut, it will be available on my patreon with all my other content ❤ www.patreon.com/Harry_Allen (We currently have Merlin, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals and His Dark Materials weekly)
What Mat says when he blows the Horn is "it's time to toss the dice". Anyone can blow the horn but everyone thought only Rand could blow it. I am a Wheely (Uber fan) having read the series over 100 times. If you have questions and want to ask feel free. If you don't want spoilers say so and I will Taylor the answer to suite.
OMG! Just found your channel 'cause of this Video, and DAMN! Loved it! You have the same reactions as I did and now I discover you're reviewing TVD and The Originals too. You're amazing! 😍
The ending would have been more powerful if she had NOT “slayed” her captor though when given the chance -- demonstrating the difference between vengeance and true justice, and showing that they weren’t able to break by turning her into the exact evil she fought against 💔
If you are contemplating going into the books, just wanna share what Harriet (Robert Jordan's wife) said. In an interview she basically compared the show and the books to swimming and walking, both are ways to get to a destination but can never be the same how to get there
Hell yeah I'm glad you're enjoying it! Always a good sign when people who have read the books agree that it's great (at least S2 heh). Excited to see the other side of things as I make my way through the books, only half way through The Eye of The World but I'm already obsessed!
Ishamael turned to the dark because he saw the Wheel as a cycle of endless suffering. He thinks that the only way to end this is to get the Dragon to turn to the shadow, which will in turn allow the Dark One to be fully released from his prison and destroy the wheel forever. Ishamael doesn't want to kill Rand unless he has to. He knows that Lanfear is the only other member of the Forsaken who also wouldn't kill him, and wants to tempt him to the dark. That's why he released her first.
Welcome to the fandom. WoT is quite possibly the most epic of the epic fantasies. So glad they nailed season 2, especially the finale. If this trajectory continues, this indeed will be Bezos’ Game of Thrones.
It truly has been such an incredible thing to experience. After I finished S1 and started looking into the books I literally could not stop looking at wheel of time stuff, it's my mission to power through the books now 😤
@@HarryAllen9 RJ is like THE candy man and the world he created is our drug lol we can't get enough of it ,hence the multiple re-reads, the community discussions etc So I competely understand the feeling of wanting more 😁
This was such a joy to watch. Your enthusiasm for the world really shone through. Oh man you are gonna have the time of your life with the books and all the lore.
I don’t usually comment on videos, but I just absolutely love your reaction to the episode! Thank you for this. And I’m glad you are enjoying the series.
This the first video of yours I've seen and I loved it!! I'm there with you- I haven't read the books either but am now completely obsessed with the show. Looking forward to your reviews next season!
I’m an old book cloak and someone just sent me your reaction tonight- and I only watched the last half ! Every reaction mirrored mine but I’d never pick up on some things you did. So glad you love it!
I accidentally stumbled upon your reaction video and am enjoying it! Love your expressions and enthusiasm. I’ve read the books multiple times and hope that you will wait to watch the show first before reading the rest of the series. Seeing you reacting to things for the first time is so refreshing! Thank you.
As a book reader I’m having so much fun being surprised and excited by a story I’ve been reading for decades. So happy you are enjoying the world, characters and lore . It’s a huge undertaking to bring this to TV, and I applaud Amazon for taking it on. Just wish we got 10 episodes per season. I think it would give the characters a little time to breath. Excited for season 3, it’s supposed to be book 4 which is a fan favorite.❤❤❤ Welcome to WOT!!
Thank you for sharing your reaction - I'm glad you enjoyed the finale and show so far! Good luck with the books as well - you'll find plenty of show and book fans here happy to consume any and all WoT-related content
I'm so happy that you recorded this as well! You have a new subscriber. When you finish reading book 1 (and inevitably the rest of them) I'd love to see reaction videos for those as well!
I'm so happy with Lanfear's casting, she has so much charisma now that I really root for her actually. I remember disliking her in the books but now I'm like let's make her the protagonist, I'm all for it. :D
I believe her intent was to remove the other forsaken from the picture. Fall in love with Rand and rule the world. She was only so faithful to anyone', dark one included, over herself.
@@ShallowSedai I don't think she wants to rule the world... She could already do that, powerfull as she is, on her own. She seems like she just would live in a small house in the countryside with Rand.
It's so fun to watch a reaction from someone pretty new to Wheel of Time! I'm a huge fantasy reader and read through the whole series before season 1 launched and enjoyed it a lot overall. It's been thrilling to see the show pick up momentum through season 2, and this finale was pure dynamite for me. The scene with Mat and the heroes of the horn including Uno got me in the feels, as did Lan and Moraine on the beach. I'm so happy it's got you so psyched to continue the story!
I loved this episode, got a bit emotional when rhand stood on top of the tower with the flame dragon swirling around him and the people were cheering for him. I recently found audio books narated by rosamund pike and they are great.
I watch season 1 when it came out, loved it (still do), then finished the whole Book series before season 2 started. I love this show, wish for more episodes
I just found you and I'm glad you liked it! Definitely read the books, although a lot of things are different as you've probably noticed. As a long time book reader (for almost 30 years now) I thought season 2 was much better. The finale was great. There are a few book things that I wish we could have seen or that I wish were explained a bit more, but they are improving. I'm really looking forward to season 3, which is supposed to be based on my favorite book (book 4). Fingers crossed. I will definitely watch your reactions if you watch the 3rd season.
I feel like Lanfear planned the whole thing. She knew where Morraine should be at to raise the banner. Too bad she wasn’t able to toss other 6 forsaken seals to bottom of ocean.
She knew she was helping rand in her own twisted way lanfear was to late though at getting rid of the others because she knew they would not help rand and do worse to him then Ishmael or lanfear.
It was an absolute delight to watch you react to this. Being g totally honest, your reaction for this episode is my favorite reaction i have seen (from among the maybe half dozen other reactors i have watched react to this season). Thank you for sharing this with us, I hope we get to see you react to season three when it is eventually released.
I had ALL of the same reactions! I am also obsessed with this world. I am now halfway through the second book and need to tear myself away to work. I also am trying to get at least one friend to go down this rabbit hole with me. 😂
I’m glad you did a reaction to this finale! It would be great to see you reacting to the other episodes, even though you have already seen them! You can catch little nuances you missed in the first go round, and now that you know where some of the story is going you will be able to pick up on the excellent foreshadowing!
If you enjoy talking Wheel of Time things, consider joining a fan community. There's a couple good, active ones out there. Especially if you're reading the books.
I loved your reaction as a book fan I love to see new fans come to love this world. I can’t wait for the next season even though there were many changes from the books they’ve caught the essence of the characters
One minute in, welcome to the journey my friend! This episode gave me chills, I cried like a baby through the entire back half. These books mean so much to so many people and to see new viewers get swept up in the story so quick that they start reading is everything us long time fans could hope to see. Now we have more people to be absolute total fucking nerds with! Hope to see some more wheel of time content from you, whether its season 3 or book content too, we will turn up for it. We have nothing else to do but think about these stories 🤣
As an FYI in the books Rand did have a sword battle with that dude. It was supposed to be a thing where in the travels with Lan, Lan became sort of a sword sensei for him. However in the show they had to make the traveling much shorter and it never did happen so it was sort of a joke to us readers where we're like, "This is the big duel moment!! but he hasn't even learned... how will this go, epic sword fight moment!" and then Rand just pulls out a gun/channeling and does it how it would actually probably happen in that world when someone can channel LOL
Loving your reaction so far! Terminology (From the books, show might simplify?) Angreal: increases your channeling strength sa'angreal: same but a lot stronger ter'angreal: Does something spesific with power. Like the arches, a'dam. Just feed it power and it does the thing it was designed to do, not always necessary to understand what/how/why in order to use it.
Welcome to the Club friend! The books are my favorite series of all time, and if you're interested in some (show watcher safe) map lore or say an explanation of who the Heroes of the Horn are (and which I could identify in this scene), I have a couple videos over on my channel for ya 😆 Great analysis!
I watch you for your Heartstopper Reactions but to find out that you’re a wheel of Time fan is just incredible. You are always very insightful with everything you watch.
I have read the series 3 times and loved this season, my mother has never red the books and really liked it too, even though she is a bit confused by some things
Amazing reaction! 🎉 So glad you found WoT and decided to react to the s2 finale! I read the books and absolutely LOVED S2!! Enjoy the books and excited to see you react to S3 when that comes out!
They really stuck the landing! Book reader here.... I've had my share of nitpicks, wishes and gripes along the way you're season (mostly to do with bigger changes), but every episode of season 2 has been solid and it's been building and getting better and better until genuinely we're looking forward to the next episode more and more. This was such a satisfying episode.... The captures the spirit of the main characters and many aspects of the books. It was helpful to know thay All the problems they were having during season 1 threw them off course, and it wasn't the ending they wanted to make. She's one hand episodes but there were a lot of growing pains... And I hated finale for the most part. I was like, I'll give it one more season... And tried to stay cautiously optimistic. But I'm now a big fan of the show. You know I'm pretty genuinely optimistically to excited to see what happens next season,! And instead of comparing it too much to the books I can always go back to them if I want that kind of depth, subtlety and complexity. The books are much the same way that the season was... A slow burn at first.. a build up.... And then a big climactic finish
I just love that as freaking powerful as Egwene might be, they showed that her greatest assets are her wits, as explained to her by Moiraine in season 2. It‘s her mind, her willpower and intellect, that free her, not her strength in The One Power.
As a long time book reader I loved your reaction. Welcome to the fandom! And the best part when you finish the last book? You go back and read it all again and pick up on all the little clues, hints and foreshadowing you missed the first time through. Enjoy!
I have been a reader since 1991. I read the books as each came out. I have reread the series once a year. I have followed several different chats, in facts “the portal stone” chat was my introduction to the internet in 1993. I have many rl WoT friends. I am a contributor on patreon to many creators on yt. YET, with all that, and all those years listening and reading others theories. I have NEVER heard or even considered the idea of resealing a forsaken to circumvent their regeneration. It may or may not work, but I LOVE this totally fresh idea! If you are not yet set up on patreon, you should be, I can say you will at least have one small contributor :)
33:06 WHEN I TELL YOU THIS WAS ME AFTER 1x06-!!! Like I forced all of my online friends to watch it for hang out time, I was in most of my favorite sapphic creator’s comments like “heyyyy, have you heard of this show, completely casual, not at all angling for a reaction series but haha what if 👀👀👀” it was BAD (it is still bad but I rediscovered self control 😅)
Egwene's progression from this rather insecure almost belittled girl in the towers at the beginning of this season to this strong bad ass woman knowing her worth and powers saving not only herself, but also Rand, that's just such an amazing journey.
Just seeing you react to this makes me wish you'd reacted to the whole series (but I know it's a ot of work). Maybe Season 3? That would definitely make my year (whichever year that may be 😂)!
I’ve enjoyed the series so far, but this episode was great, I loved every moment. So now to relive it I’m watching reactions. Thanks for this! Enjoyed the vid.
Welcome to WoT fandom! You are now one of the Dragonsworn;-) I've started reading the books in the 90s and no series has ever been able to come close to the love I have for this. To me, Wheel of Time is the true successor to Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. The best character arc I've ever read is in these books, the world-building truly is 'out of this world' and the battles are amazing (probably also, because Mr. Jordan was a Vietnam vet). The only thing that he couldn't do was write romance,😇but we all love the books warts and all. You should do reviews of the books now that you're reading! I for one lap up first-time reader reviews because it's almost like experiencing it all for the first time again. Book 1 - 3 are basically the prologue. Book 4 - 6 are the pinnacle of it all, the world explodes then. Season 3 of the show will be about book 4. As for the show. Don't know if you've read it, but the Sul'dam/Damane thing, it was a channeller who made those horrid things and she was the first one to be enslaved. Looking for more WoT content from you:D
I am just like you, I hadn't heard of the series and then binge-watched season 1 and season 2 when it came out and loved it now I'm hooked on the books. I am currently onto book 4 and loving it :)
Welcome to the world of WoT. Started reading the books in the late 90's. Season 1 was rough at the end but i am loving season 2 and they have convinced me theu can do this series right if given the resources.
It isn't really a spoiler to say that Elayne is about equal to Egwene in her strength with the one power. So, even injured she is more than powerful enough to heal Rand. The problem is that because of the taint from the dagger, it needs someone with a deep, intricate knowledge of healing, beyond what even most Yellow Ajah have to be able to heal him completely.
What a wonderful reaction! Thank you so much for capturing this reaction I’m so excited for Season 3! Curious to know if you’ve heard of the One Piece live action series on Netflix? That and Wheel of Time really surprised me and enthralled me these past few months
What did you think of the Lanfear reveal as a non-reader? Mat blowing the horn was book canon. Ishy dying is book canon. They did book2/3 adaptation very well.
new sub here 😊 great call posting a reaxn, a lot in the fandom crave watching non readers reactions coz it's like going back to the feeling we had when we first read the books. And theories made with fresh eyes also pump us up coz in the books, RJ was a master at foreshadowing and it looks like the show has been setting this up too. You might find a lot of new details on multiple re-watch Anyway, welcome to the world of WoT 😊
Excellent reaction!! Subscribed!! Just one important note - if you don't want to be spoiled with MAJOR plot points, character deaths, end of the series, who's secretly working for the dark, etc. etc., then you will definitely want to stay away from the Wiki and do not google any WoT info until you've read the books. The Wiki will also likely spoil events that could very well happen in the show. That being said, welcome to the fandom and the world of WoT!! I've read the books many times and highly recommend them.
I'm so happy I binged it once the first couple episodes of S2 were out. S1 was fine but compared to S2, feels like two completely different shows. Love that they have found their footing now!

Great reaction! So much going on, such a fun episode
As a long time book reader I loved your reaction. Welcome to the fandom! And the best part when you finish the last book? You go back and read it all again and pick up on all the little clues, hints and foreshadowing you missed the first time through. Enjoy!
Welcome to the WoT fandom! Always cool to see people enjoying this awesome story
The love I have for Rosamund as Moraine is insane! 😭❤️
Egwene's progression from this rather insecure almost belittled girl in the towers at the beginning of this season to this strong bad ass woman knowing her worth and powers saving not only herself, but also Rand, that's just such an amazing journey.
I hope you continue to do these for season 3 when it's out. I really enjoyed your reactions!
I really enjoyed your reaction! It is too bad that this is your first reaction video. You're going to love the books.
I watched the first season right when it came out and then read the 14 book series over 3 months.
Man I love!!! love your reaction! Hahaha very entertaining! Honestly... I think I've fallen in love with you!
Omg! Your reactions are as great as the show! 😂
From within, i think he meant that even he can't break the seal from with in.
🙂👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿…great job, thanks for the entertainment, have a beautiful day.
Loved your reaction!
Welcome to WoT fandom! You are now one of the Dragonsworn;-)
I've started reading the books in the 90s and no series has ever been able to come close to the love I have for this.
Nice seeing first timers react! Good vid
Softly, softly from the shadows...
Next season's going to be amazing.
Welcome to the world of WoT. Started reading the books in the late 90's. Season 1 was rough at the end but i am loving season 2 and they have convinced me theu can do this series right if given the resources.
Great reaction! Hope you do S3!
Such a fun reaction! As a fan of the books, I'm so glad you're enjoying this show and hope you react to season 3 when it comes out!
I super love your vibe! Subscribed!
new sub here 😊 great call posting a reaxn, a lot in the fandom crave watching non readers reactions coz it's like going back to the feeling we had when we first read the books. And theories made with fresh eyes also pump us up coz in the books, RJ was a master at foreshadowing and it looks like the show has been setting this up too. You might find a lot of new details on multiple re-watch
Anyway, welcome to the world of WoT 😊
Excellent reaction!! Subscribed!! Just one important note - if you don't want to be spoiled with MAJOR plot points, character deaths, end of the series, who's secretly working for the dark, etc. etc., then you will definitely want to stay away from the Wiki and do not google any WoT info until you've read the books. The Wiki will also likely spoil events that could very well happen in the show. That being said, welcome to the fandom and the world of WoT!! I've read the books many times and highly recommend them.
Lady from Cairhien is lanfear
Love season 2 👍👍✌️
I'm so happy I binged it once the first couple episodes of S2 were out. S1 was fine but compared to S2, feels like two completely different shows. Love that they have found their footing now!
