I've actually been doing this and instead of getting cleaning supplies at a grocery store I get our cleaning supplies at a cheaper amount at the Dollar Tree. This works!
I’ve watched a ton of frugal grocery haul videos of other UA-camrs and they save tons of money cause they eat garbage. Sure, I’ve been able to cut my grocery spending way back and never get takeout cause fast food is garbage, too. Commercial products are often very inexpensive, like campbells soup on sale or white bread or lunch meat, but a person’s health will certainly suffer over time eating such low quality/no nutritional value foods.
I'm excited to try this. We used to spend between $1200-1700/month for just 2 of us! Last month we got it down to $700. I would LOVE to get it down to $150.00/month. We already have a 1/2 beef in the freezer so we just need to buy chicken. I'm excited! I just found you last week and my husband switched to Velocity banking. He is currently laid off so this info comes at a great time! Thanks so much for all the information you share with us.
so many changes on the horizon for me... I am so used to getting paid bi-weekly and heading out to the Grocery every two weeks and spending hundreds of dollars on food/household items. Now, with my new Velocity banking mentality I will have an open credit line to grocery shop (on a budget, of course) every week. So excited!!
We started shopping online at our grocery store, this helps to not go down the wrong isle and start adding things we don’t need. 😂 however we will try this week method sounds less stressful then planning whole month.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video. I’m just starting velocity banking and it’s a very disciplined application. My grocery bill was my point frustration. This helps me to at least have a plan. Your positive attitude gives me a little boost as well. Let’s do this!
I've been doing this for years and only go to the store every Thursday or Friday. I also look in the ads for sales of course. I've never tried it with a set budget though but I usually don't get too much. Thanks for the tips.
I give our family if 4 800/mo. This covers groceries, eating out and household items, like t.p., laundry soap, shampoo- stuff like that. We also make a weekly menu and only buy what we need. We have 1 night of leftovers, one FEND FO night (FEND FO YO’ SELF) 😊 this works out greatly for us, and saves us so much time and money! I LOVE sharing this method with other people 🥰
I've shopped once every 2 weeks for years, because the grocery store has been a 35 mile trip each way (or more, depending on where we lived). But, I have to eat Keto, do to health issues, and that just isn't cheap, even with just 2 of us eating it. Back when we had kids at home, we ate a lot of beans, rice, macaroni, so, yeah, cheap, but not healthy. Can you do something like this for a short time emergency? Yes. Should you do it long term? Not really, you need better nutrition. And with the rising prices of all the food, growing your own can help. Sprouts are very nutritious and don't take much time or space.
it would be very difficult. I believe it would be a challenge to budget $300 per person per month. $10 a day does not buy a lot of food. If you can do that more power to you. I spend $100 for 2 just on 1 meal for sushi, just saying
$75 a month for one person is $18.75 a week! I don't eat processed foods. $18.75 is just fruits and fresh veggies; eggs are about $5 a dozen (pasture raised eggs); no room for meat like chicken and fish. Is this plan for healthy eating in this inflated economy?
When I have cut down too drastically, my sons thought I was trying to starve them. Still, I think I’m doing pretty good. They like a lot of meat. I shop at Aldi, which saves me a lot.
I love the Dave Ramsey envelope system too. This works great for groceries - I was just thinking of switching out what I am budgeting every month. Thank you!
Little Caesar’s Pizza! One pizza will provide lunch and supper - IF . . you’re in a bind. This would only be good for a short time, but it would work in a pinch. Whenever God provided food, He only fed them twice a day. Think about that!
Thank you for this! I’ve been loading up on your velocity banking vids in prep to start this Friday 🎉 and this was my main concern, sticking to my budget when using my credit card. This will help me immensely!!!!! I’ve been trying one day a week already but you’re so spot on tytyty 😊
Can be done if you eat more dry beans rice lentils pasta and shop sales large 10 pounds of chicken quarters for 79 cents per pound good deal makes a lot of meals and drink more water from tap if not safe buy a filter.
I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and I need to eat 100% organic food - which is about 4 times the cost of normal fruit and vegetables. My food bill is huge. I wish normal healthy food wasn't so expensive. I've tried eating the 'regular' food at the supermarket but it's all sprayed with pesticides which make me very sick with nausea, headache and diarrhoea. The supermarkets do sell organic food now but it's pretty much the same price as the organic market prices. Could try a farm perhaps or try to grow my own? Health has to come first in my opinion but I will try to cut back.
We buy organic and avoid boxed food...so we do have to budget more. We also make sure to consume a good amount of protein...my 18 year old is weight lifting and bulking too so we have to add more for that. We try to avoid all unhealthy, poisonous food.
You can do it! I spend about 150 to 200 every two weeks for four of us, but we don't really eat out. That also includes our shampoo, tp, paper towels, etc. Your way is 600 a month. Wow!
I ust to clean professional the best products to buy and cheap for cleaning is vinegar I use the apple cider vinegar it smells good and I buy windex, and alcohol,,you can clean your whole house plus get rid of germs,,I did buy the sponges that clean showers and wipe them down with vingar and dry cloth,,and I bought dusting spray it cost me 10.00 a month,,and I always have left over, hope this helps you.
I have been loving your videos lately.. I know this is unrelated to this particular video.. But what about a personal loan? How can we use these concepts you teach for that if possible.. thank you and may the Lord bless you cause you are a blessing to us..
I understand the grocery budget you talk about is $75.00 per person per week. Do you have the other budget $75.00 per person per week also? Or is the other budget $75.00 total per week?
Having a good partner is such a blessing!
Lovely to see you appreciate your husband
I've actually been doing this and instead of getting cleaning supplies at a grocery store I get our cleaning supplies at a cheaper amount at the Dollar Tree. This works!
I love that you appreciate your husband’s efforts. The way we should always appreciate what the home warriors contribute.
I have done this! Grocery costs were the only adjustable expense in my budget at one point. After doing this, I paid off my debt quickly.
Great video! On another note, wake forest 🤢🤣 We need to get you a Duke sweatshirt 😅

Beautiful!! It’s amazing how much money we waste and not even aware..
Another way to shop and meet your budget is to do pickup instead of going in the store.

Great explanation. Jordan's video was life changing. It can be done. I need to get back to doing it.

Thanks for watching!
I know I need to save on eating but I just can’t fathom $75 per month. I sprang $12 on a pack of chicken and it was even the thin kind.

You are so blessed. I need a chef/handyman. Lol This video is so helpful. Thank you.
Wheres the manna when you need it. God always provides!
Quite a marriage 💕🙏 blessings Mrs. V! #foodbudget
He is precious! Thank you!

In theory. Then you add in different diets for health reasons so you have at least 2 meals at each meal. The cost of groceries at this point in time.

Now if you do organics...yes, must increase the personal amount. Thanks for watching! BUT Jordan Page says only by $5 - $10 per person per month. 🤨
Not realistic.
I’ve done this before following Jordan Page too. This was before inflation. I still try to stay close to this.
When I have cut down too drastically, my sons thought I was trying to starve them. Still, I think I’m doing pretty good. They like a lot of meat. I shop at Aldi, which saves me a lot.
😮oh my... maybe I need to start a balcony garden😂 for my veggies😊

Absolutely love this video I'm so glad it popped up

I live on Long Island NY
My food is 300.00 to 400.00 per week!
I'm out here too. Everything is so expensive now!
I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and I need to eat 100% organic food - which is about 4 times the cost of normal fruit and vegetables. My food bill is huge. Please tell your husband about Six Sisters cooking. Good method and I’ll watch this again. It takes a second time watching to get it. 😂
I will! He’s gonna love that!😂😂
Def going to try this.... I spend way too much for groceries!!!
We all do!
I'm going to do this for my grocery and also for gas, lol! Thank you so much!
Thank you!!
Congratulations 70.k💥
love you dear Sister in Christ! you're a giggle and even make math fun! Wow
I have been loving your videos lately.. I know this is unrelated to this particular video.. But what about a personal loan? How can we use these concepts you teach for that if possible.. thank you and may the Lord bless you cause you are a blessing to us..
Yes! You can get rid of personal loans with Velocity Banking. Thank you for watching!
We spend about $2,000/month on groceries and "other" for a family of 5.
Try SINK REFLECTIONS A BOOK FILLED WITH WISDOM also Fly Lady
Great tip, thank you.😃
OK I’m gonna try it I’m a little bit scared but I’m gonna give it a try
Ok... what kind of food are you buying though? Top Ramen? Macaroni? C'mon!
Single, no kids. I don't eat breakfast or lunch and never eat out. I still spend $400 a month.
You either buy organic meats. To cut your grocery drasticlly you gotta reduce ur meat/egg and dairy intake. And no alcohol.
$1,000 -$1,200!for family of 8 😅diapers for 2 babies
You make me laugh. My husband does cook but he's not very clean.😢
I understand the grocery budget you talk about is $75.00 per person per week. Do you have the other budget $75.00 per person per week also? Or is the other budget $75.00 total per week?
More inebriated gibberish lol
