It's so refreshing to see someone on this platform eating actual fresh foods that are healthy. Most budget meals I find are all junk or out of a can. I can't wait to watch your other videos.

$20 meal - non-organic guacamole (scratch) and salsa (scratch) with tortilla chips or stuffed hot dogs with baked sweet beans :-)

Fried rice. Uses leftover cooked rice, grated carrot, sliced celery, onion, garlic, frozen peas, soy sauce and dried ginger for flavoring. You can add scrambled egg for protein, or leftover meat like chicken or pork. Also add any veggies you have in your freezer. Easy and cheap.

Yes! I love fried rice! Only recently nailed down how to make it, but it's a staple now.

Funny thing is when I went 90% vegetarian or 75% vegan, however you want to look at it, my shopping bills were at least halved. Yet my own vegan cottage pie/meatballs/chilli/lasagne/stuffed macaroni tastes pretty much the same as expensive option ready meals because I can afford the most tasty varieties of things like tomatoes or carrots.

I didn’t yet watch the full video but chicken, meat and egg prices in 2021 and 2022 are rapidly increasing faster than what people now upload these grocery haul videos. 🤦🏻‍♀️SMH. Now, it’s 2023. Let’s hope this country of USA doesn’t become like Venezuela
