I have a 73 Maverick with a 408 stroker , Tremec TKO 600 5 speed manual and 3.73 geared LS 8.8 ford . Super fun ride. But my 1st car was a 74 Ford Courier pickup with a 86 5.0 and 5 speed swapped from a 86 mustang gt. Fun little truck that shocked more than a few people light to light.
Richard says let's put some nuts in this car,and keeps the same casterated engine in it.🙋🙋🙋

When I was 6-8 my mom had a red and black 73 comet gt 351 cleveland and a 4 speed shifter i remember it would keep you back in the seat
You might be thinking of the wrong car, dude.
Fifth gen Comets ('71 - '77) weren't offered with a Cleveland, or a 4 speed. Only a 3 speed manual or 3 speed auto, and the V8's they had were Windsor blocks, which only had the option of a 302 for the Comets / Mavericks.

1970 to 74 Comets and Mavericks were great. loved my 72 maverick more than the Camaros and Mustangs I had.

Nice , would had went with a v6 if you was going to keep the in line 6 in it instead . Maby threw a super charger on a high out put v6 .but really inside and out car looks great .

Change the hood and it would actually be a cool car . I see they tried , but it didn't work out....
