Sorry guys...but as a mustang guy...and an engine guy...its not about hardening. You are dealing with a flat tappet motor (which you should have turned into a roller easy squeezy because lifters all come from china now and the failure rate and wiping cams is known). Breakin is not about HARDENING. its about the lifters mating and rounding the lobes on the cam so they are in sync metal to metal. Thats why you cant take any other lifter and change position because they are mated to the position at break in ...20 minutes , 2000 to 2500 RPMs no deviation , no revving ...and done or done in if a cheap chinese lifter that says howards or trick flow or comp on it ...its not the 70's anymore. ANY flat tappet can convert to a roller pretty easy but when I do something like a 347 stroker, I always try to get a 90's roller block :-) NOt criticizing just given you mustang love. The early ones like the 68 are a breeze to work on but you have to know the secrets of things like door alignment, fender alignment, etc. Factory coils didnt need a full 12 volts so we often put in relays to come off the starter battery to new coils and distributors that rerquire it and you dont wire it back to the key which I think only sends 6v. - ENJOY THIS VIDEO AND I AM A TOTAL AMATUER, TEAM OF 1...LOL...Totally restored the car including paint , engine, etc etc - ua-cam.com/video/GmXNu_sODqg/v-deo.html
Shelby guys don’t want anything not factory, you should know this as a mustang guy. They even want all the emissions stuff that guys ripped out day 1….
Oh, rust AND wrecked in the front pretty badly. Finally made mention that it cost him $28k; I'm no Shelby price expert, but don't these usually run for close to the century mark in near great condition?
In comparison to all the other bs garage and automotive shows on tv, I’ve always preferred the stuff filmed at Gas Monkey. There is just an unscripted sense of realism with this crew. You can tell the crew are hard workers and not a bunch of little pussies✔️
I don't understand how you guys always have motors rebuilt but then they're not good I don't understand that and I mean I've seen it quite a few times with you guys and then you can even put it back seat in the car please you think I'm going to pay top dollar for a piece of s***
Always comforting to know the people working on your door don’t know what they are doing
Was it not finished when taken for test drive? I'm sure before he got the mustang the headliner went in 😂😂
I hope they put the headliner in it 95 k alot of money 💰
Simply video when taking apart a reassembly will be easier... Lol. Glad I could help... Too Late...lol
Aaron, KC, Jordan, Tom and Dustin made the show.
Tom and A.K where my favorite
@@kekokasualtuvoaki1762 Tom was something else, so crazy.
Chase has got em all covered 100%👍
Tom was cool but but Jordan and Aaron had piss poor miserable attitudes. I'll take Chase....although he might be gone now 🤔

Restoring 1st gen Mustang for 30 years, headliner goes in before back window, always
Back window, windshield,
Side trim
It needs a headliner
Fully restored to a #3 car. Great daily driver!
I have built enough motors to know your gonna have metal shimmer

95 grand and the headliner needs to be replaced? Red flag.
Car wasn't finished when they did the test drive, I'm sure everything was in place when the cash came across the table ..

Inside roof needs some work
The worst part of the show was Jordon.

I'm going to unscribe because this is all ways old videos
Way to much for a GT 350 that's a starter shelby for someone wanting to own a shelby. Me he'd have got maybe 40000.00 max.
