There is absolutely zero chance that the band Tool does not find this extremely gratifying. There is no greater tribute than when a group from a diametrically different music genre covers one of your greatest songs and puts their stamp on it.

Tool is my favorite band of all time and I've seen them play this song, but I also saw Elephant Revival earlier this year in Portland and was totally surprised and blown away by them playing this, it's now my favorite performance of any song by any band I've ever seen!

at first i didnt like the violin but then it made it feel more lonely, more disparate, more out of touch...which is perfect for the song. as it comes together tho it all fits the song super well. gg
