Drill, baby, drill.......the scandal is that the media and Biden keep pushing EVs as a viable option.
UAW member here, and I couldn't agree more!👍💯
They're viable for densely populated ares like cities... But that's it and 99.9% of America is not that!
they must have a lot of EV stonks
I want to see if these blues states actually ban gas vehicles. They'll become 3rd world economies.
Ya get rid of that green new bill....ASAP! Trump 2024

In fact, my last layoff I was a victim of our success. We just sold assets in the western anadarko and permian basin and i was unwillingly retired.
I'm welder here in Houston Texas and I've done very well thanks to oil and gas and the petrochemical industry. It's been up and down but I love it
The lack of effort to make nuclear power more feasible is criminal.
Blame the "Inflation Reduction" Act, at least for why they aren't being built recently.

When EVs run out of charge on the side of the road in Europe, a gas truck with a diesel generator comes to recharge it. EVs are a meme.
@wigletron2846 Cantsee my previous comment, can you?
Ford, GM and Toyota have stopped EV production…no one is buying them.
AMG came out and basically said “Ummm…these hybrids are garbage, we’re going back to the old V8…”
We gotta hold them to their word, if that's actually FACTS & TRUTH, of course. Otherwise, don't fall for it, m8.
I really thought that hybrid could stretch your gas mileage., with regenerative braking and an electric boost for acceleration, allowing as much power as a V8, when needed, but with a much smaller gas engine. Get back some of what you burn going uphill.
Seems like that would make a lot of sense, especially if you had any kind of green electrical generation capability at home.
But full-on EVs? They're basically toys for the rich. They make sense for local trips, especially for metro areas, where air quality is a major issue. But for a long trip? It sucks, even if they do create convenient charging stations every 100 miles or so on the Interstate. It just takes too long to recharge.
AMG? 😂
I work at Kia. You know how long an EV9 (full electric) takes to charge from 0% to 100%? About 5 hours. And you get around 290 miles on a full charge. My 05 Rendezvous is more efficient than that lol
Toyota makes great mini vans but they cost a fortune now.
All electric equals more control for the bad players in our burgeoning police state.
And most people will have no personal transportation as they can't afford an EV, it isn't practical,or they have nowhere to charge it.
All it took for me was a single revelation from my homies out west: They planted all these windmills, but their energy bills aren't getting any cheaper
They know gas will fall like a rock after Trump gets back in and they can't have that!!!!!!
Lower gas prices and you lower EVERYTHING!!!!!!
It means no more threats of 15 minute cities (now lowered to 10 minute cities).
@@NightMotorcyclist If you have a new car, better watch out for those new software updates. I heard that there is software to enforce the fifteen minute cities. If you find yourself in one is the near future, your car will enforce it.

On Trump's first day in office for his second presidential term he must grant a full unconditional pardon to Snowden and Assange.

Does he have any authority when it comes to Assange? I doubt it.
But what did Trump say about those two?
That's simply comical. Trump added the seventeen charges under the Espionage Act to the original hacking charge by Obama, and the Trump administration asked the CIA for options for assassinating Assange.

That's what you got to do if you wanna tax breathing in the long run.
It’s because they have higher tax credits on the electric cars. I’m pretty sure it comes whenever the car is built not whenever the car is sold so selling doesn’t mean nearly as much as building the car.
It only took a massive earthquake followed by a tsunami to make the Fukishima plant unsafe, and it's still there. All houses were completely destroyed.
It was also a known bad design. No cooling standard across the different reactors.
@@Blunthammer the great design failure was the generator being underground, not atop the plant. As soon as the building flooded, so did the generator.
@@jgr7487 and from what I remember, it was only one reactor like that. Others were different.
After the dollar breaks, we are going to be forced to produce something
All government bureaucrats, congress, etc. should have to live for 2 years off grid and be required to only use electric cars to travel. It's a pain in the ass to be off grid and VERY expensive. It would open their minds to the problems of off grid living.
They proposed a 36 bay facility to charge electric trucks in Joliet IL so Pritzker's "Green Illinois" could feel better. Joliet said no...such a facility would take up half the electric grid in that city. The infrastructure simply isn't there. Plus any state that has a consistent environment that has significant winter weather with snow and low temps automatically is going to have battery issues. Even an electric car needs lubricants, wiring with plastics, tires and other items that are manufactured with petroleum based components. An electric vehicle is significantly heavier than a fossil fuel car...which means it needs more energy and the tires wear out much faster. I am sure that somewhere in the future a much higher use of electricity can become practical...but it's not going to be within a decade no matter how many "regulations" get passed by legislatures staffed with people who only think "politically" and have little to no objective evidence of the costs and burdens of switching to all electric. Plus the elephant sitting in the corner is the manufacture of the EV's and their components. The mining, production and eventually replacement of EV items, not to mention where you're going to dispose of the heavy metals you need is environmentally horrific. Just the need for more copper for the vehicles and the infrastructure would do as much harm to the environment as automobiles. An open copper mine is possibly one of the most environmental disasters for huge areas, both in air quality and the impact on pretty much every water source for hundreds of miles. This "Let's just snap our fingers and it will all magically appear" attitude by politicians and activists is unicorn and rainbow thinking. Work on solutions for the future, but stop with the absurd mandates that cannot possibly fulfilled. Telling everyone to use bicycles would be more practical.
People don’t realize how bad the end of life cycle is for EVs (and hybrids for that matter) really are. There is no recycling of almost all of the material, it’s being disposed of as hazardous waste as we rush into making more. If we actually invested correctly and planned we could easily have recycling of most of those materials in the next 10 years, but the mining and electric companies are the ones pushing for immediate production of EVs.
"electric vehicle is significantly heavier than a fossil fuel car"
I wasn't even aware of that tidbit. That also contributes to more wear and tear on the roads.

America 1st..❤❤❤❤❤
My state has been supplying the majority of wood used in construction in America sin e the 80s. We still have more trees than anyone except maybe Washington and some of the really rural states but none of them harvest wood on the scale we do. We pull this off by having a law that every tree we cut down is replaced with 2 more saplings, this keeps us able to meet the countries needs while not absolutely destroying our environment. It's about the only good thing oregon does.lmao
It makes business sense to have forests set aside for this purpose.
@@henrylicious it was the result of what happened in the 70s. Everyone wanted our wood so badly we were stripping entire mountains down to the dirt, led to huge mud slides, roads getting washed out in the fall and winter, it was a disaster. Then in the 80s someone finally got the bright idea to replant trees and regulate how much of a mountain you can cut at once. It slowed us down for a few years but now it runs like clockwork and our state is better for it.
Lots of trees in maine and NH too
There are tons of trees everywhere, more now than the founding by some estimates. The issue is more the variety of wood. When you tear down old growth or virgin forest you tend to replace with a monoculture which isn’t the best for native animals. If it was a forest planted to be harvested then it’s just a crop.

What about deregulating nuclear? It's the most energy intensive source. The fuel we already mined can last hundreds of years if fuel rod recycling is allowed, which France gave up to shove itself in African issues even deeper, &, now, only Russia has this tech. It can support electric trains & electric trams for public transport, leaving fossil fuels only as a subsidiary energy source & as fuel for things that aren't linked to the grid & require a lot of energy, such as trucks, ships, planes, & certain people who either don't want to or can't be linked to the electric structure.
