Hell Let Loose (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S) is a WW2 FPS with an interesting twist. How is it? Let's talk. Subscribe for more: ua-cam.com/users/gameranxTV?su...
One of the coolest parts of this game is the fact all the maps are made from Modern Satellite data and reconnaissance photos from WWII. You are inhabiting the actual battlefields not just a level designers take on the map.
@@Swisshost um I've been playing for years and what you are saying is untrue, just within the last year they had to change up Utah Beach to give the US side a better chance to actually pass the first objective.
Yeah, It's a cool approach to map design, but leaving the maps as purely real would be incredibly detrimental to the gameplay. there are other games they do that, and matches often devolve into spawn killing and one-sided slaughters regularly.
@@jeroen2686 u expect console peasants to have any kind of intelligence? They don't even realize they are getting milked. Online used to be a free feature back in the days on PS3 and he says the game is "free" lol.
There's moments in HLL where you can't move if you stand up or even move from your cover you're going to immediately die. It gets really annoying, but sometimes I'm like yep that's true to life.
This game is quite literally the absolute closest you can get to truly feeling like you’ve stepped foot directly into Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers.
You forgot to mention all the lovely adjectives they shower you with about your mother and you if you fail to pick them up or say NO, not bcz you don't care but bcz they ran in blindly without caring for cover and now are screaming for medic in an open field with snipers ready to pop your head off..
I was playing this for the first time the other day and I was running down this long path (was a scout), didn't really know what I was doing, but I remember just seeing a bunch of explosions in the air in the distance. That was immersive af, knowing actual players was going through the shit. The fact that my area was calm and quiet, but I KNOW other players were going through hell in their areas lol.
I love being in hell lol. The best shit is when you and half your team are pinned town no idea where the enemy is, bullets flying, it’s absolutely madness and I love it.
Bro when i was laying it we got pinned across a field by a tank. We alredy damaged it but only had like one bazooka shot left. The tank began to retreat so we all just got up and charged at the thing lol. All of us died of course but not before i blew it up lol
Hell Let Loose has been everything that I wished Battlefield was. Teamwork and objectives ACTUALLY matter in this game, instead of just being the bullet-sponge grindfest that Battlefield has become.
the only thing I want from battlefield into hell let loose is the destruction. kinda ruins my immersion when you can’t destroy stuff and when most of the buildings are inaccessible. atleast BFV got that right
@@lessgetit4841 this. so much this. it should be normal for buildings to be accessible, and you should be able to plow down buildings with a tank or flatten shit with arty and bazooka rounds. to that end, the bazooka should have armor piercing and high explosive rounds, as it was often used to destroy a corner of a building the enemy was in to clear it.
@@jaxky647 I think Battlefield would have been near perfect in my eyes if custom matches were available without a subscription and if it was more customizable
Bro, we were in communications with our commander and the squads, it was so thrilling planning and pulling off flanking maneuvers with the Entire Team.
@@dexterjettster3683 dude this game is trash on console..I can’t even play it, I get bored and annoyed during my first game on..nobody talks..everyone does their own thing..it’s just not fun at all lol I have already deleted it
Even being "bad" at FPS you can still have a huge impact on the game by playing engineer, medic, or support. Engineers build nodes that give the commander resources. Medics can revive and heal people. Support can drop supplies to build garrisons.
I've spent 90 minute games simply playing Medic or AT and just defending myself and doing my job. Just as exciting as when I'm a rifleman or machine gunner.
I use UA-cam daily for 12 years now for 3 hours a day at least. And this is my first comment: I just want to say in my 20 years of gaming this is the single best game I've ever played. Thanks for keeping my pandemic, friends and adictive gaming up forever
Yeah ... and if they would talk... Edit after few days: You need to play late evening ... chances are higher that kids are in bed. Also add people you like to T17 list. The game itself is awesome, hopefully more people start talking... without communication this game isn't working.
Dude that game got so boring when I went 7 days without a single member of my unit playing together, not a single squad doing nodes, and nobody had mics so I couldn't be squad lead or commander or a subordinate
Played on PC and the moment that made me fall in love with the game was when my squad was sent ahead to hold an intersection. We met an enemy squad and I was the only survivor and our squad spawn was destroyed. So I set up in the attic of a building looking at a field then I see about 20 Germans sprinting across. I set up my bipod and just mowed them down. I held that position down long enough for reinforcements until a Pather sent a shell straight through my head.
Really sounds more like a war moment (minus the spawn point) as opposed to an arcade shooter moment like Battlefield where this wouldn't be possible. Sounds cool!
@@VenomGamingCenter the possibility of it happening is higher than it being pretend mainly with this game doug. How do you know it didnt were you one of the Germans sprinting across the field?
Oh I’m definitely getting this game. My favorite part of the battlefield series is when you have a good squad working together and you pull off some spectacular stuff like 4 guys taking a fortified position they had no business taking. Or escaping from an overrun position by the skin of your teeth because your teamwork was on point. Deciding the best course of action in the heat of battle, making strategic choices in a split second, that’s what I love. If He’ll Let Loose focuses on this type of experience, I’m all over it.
This game is a blast. The best advice I can give anyone struggling is don't worry about you K/D. One of my favorite games we were defending a town center. Enemy infantry were firing from all directions, tanks were pulling down the road ahead of us, and then there's me. The squad engineer. Ducking bullets and tank shells with a hammer and wrench in my hands building fortifications for the team. We ended up winning heavily because of the barbed wire and barricades I built. Kills in this game are no where near the most valuable contribution you can provide
insurgency sandstorm and Hell let loose both released on consoles. Awesome to see these two well established hardcore fps games on playstations and xboxes.
@@centraltimegamers2977 I have them both on PC :D Spent ~96hours on Sandstorm and 2.8 hours on Hell let loose(performance was a big issue because my PC would BSOD)
It really is, just see the souls saga, you can style on when you know you are doing, feel like a god... but at the start the first real boss may take you 8 tries. Games that earn your effort are the best type of games, we dont need another CoD that pops off 5 medals with flashy stuff just because you shot your weapon once.
Sekiro was definitely that game for me. It took a long time to get into, playing it on and off for about a year, but once it clicked with me, I couldn’t pull myself away from the game for months.
Theres nothing like the feeling of everything being "quiet" for a few minutes, you're with your team going through a forest and then... tracers all around, grenades, explosions, a freaking tank on your flank, bullets going past your head, and you shooting back for a few secs and then hiding again. Its the calm, and not so over the top rushing action, and those extreme periods of hell that make this game one of the best FPS out there.
I once had that in PS. Gave me a good jumpscare. Suddenly enemy mg fire and the likes and a King Tiger suddenly appearing and driving towards me and he's driving to us and we are running to them. XD
My favorite game since the days of Halo 3. Seriously, the teamwork and immersion is just simply fantastic. They made a great game. There are some quirks that irritate me, like being unable to place ammunition or outposts in certain spots, vehicle physics and just phasing through walls but getting stopped by bushes two feet high. Make sure you communicate and your squad has mics, you need good comms and good plans to win at this game. It's difficult to pick up at first but once you get it down, you will love it. I put hundreds of hours into this game and it paid off greatly. I even run my own server with some friends now and it's just an all around wonderful game to experience with others and I wouldn't want it any other way.
God this game needs more attention. It's the best ww2 game since world at war I swear. Don't be put off by the difficulty at first because once you have sunk your teeth into this game it's amazing.
@@krismolter5668 I would say better then most games. Very rarely have I been in a “toxic” squad. I will say give it a few games at the very least to see if it is for you. It is a difficult game to grasp because of the communication aspect, but that makes it one of the most satisfying games I’ve played. Problem solving as a squad / team is awesome. I play squad lead most of the time and I know I treat the new players well and take time to explain what is happening but most importantly just say have fun. I learned to do this from when I was new from many different leads… so from my experience it is the norm.
There are some fun tips, like spawning an armored unit and taking a tank, just to go do some artillery, so that when their recon sniper shows up, you can hop in the tank and take him out.
I’ve played this game for about a year, and it’s amazing. Especially from a small studio, great game 10/10. I play on PC, and it’s great. Very immersive play with a mic, it’s even more immersive. Plus the coordination is great with a mic. Also the community is very welcoming to new players. Not a lot of toxicity and players will help you learn. THIS GAME IS NOT BATTLEFIELD K/D doesn’t matter it’s more about working as a unit to take/defend an objective. Trying to Be Rambo will get you nowhere. One of my favorite memories from this game was crawling through a field with a random guy under heavy fire. We were both screaming as we kept moving forward. Until he got hit, it was tragic yet so immersive. I’ll always remember Major Winters RIP fell on Saint Marie Du Mont, France 😭
I bought this game back in 2019 and i got say this game came a loooong way from release. This is the best and most hardcore fps experience out there now, this game can have really intense 1 hour battles that go back and forth that just feels great and exciting.
Great review! I Got this a few weeks ago on my ps5 plus free download- along with my buddy and cousin.. they instantly hated it , rage quit at the constant dying etc.. the thing most new players need to understand is this a team based spawn objective game. Meaning if your team isn’t in sync and get your spawn points up with OPs and Garys then you spawn at HQ every time run for 5 minutes just to be killed. I read up and watched videos how to untrain my brain from the cod , bf style of play , it’s slower- games can be 1 hour 30 minutes long, so I really got immersed and love it -I’m a level 40 in just a couple weeks. The hardcore aspect of it is fun but it’s called “hell let loose” for a reason, it’s almost like a horror game wrapped in a war simulator, cuz while you’re playing every move can be a mistake, you’re always being watched or feel that way.. once you play with a good squad it’s hard to play a round of cod or battlefield just knowing what they could be like with the proximity chat etc -🎮🎖🫡🪖🥾 hope to see this game get bigger with the new updates with Night maps etc 🗺 🌙
I’m so relieved you all like it 😅 Just recently hit 1,000 hours in-game, & HLL and its community got me through lockdown. New players, don’t be discouraged when you die from seemingly nowhere when starting out. Your K/D ratio is not of great concern in this game - the tactics you employ are much more important. You’ll learn the tricks, the favorite routes, the vastly different rhythm of the game from anything like CoD or Battlefield as you play. Running so (realistically) slowly will be weird but you just might come to love the different kind of gameplay it allows And read the weekly dev briefs!
@@Deadmare that’s def real when you’re a new player. Once you get a hang of the movement you’ll get better at running with the topography so you’re minimally exposed without spending the entire match in the mud 😂
@@Deadmarealso just make sure you don’t get too bogged down in one spot, but when you move bound between cover and sit for a bit and watch for movement before heading to next cover. People moving will stick out like sore thumbs to anyone staying still, but you’re not doing anybody any good if you camp one spot too long, even as a sniper. Seasoned squads will split and have some people move while others cover them, switching back and forth like a slinky as they move up.
i wanna play, since it's out on consoles now. But... I rarely have anyone to play games with. Having played Battlefield since its inception, I do have an idea of how HLL is played (of course, it's different having an idea about it versus playing), but being solo is going to suck. Especially since I'm soft-spoken and not too keen on talking to strangers, given my horrid experience trying to over my nearly 2 decades of XBL...
I've had this game for a few years. One of my favorite things to do is play with my buddies in the arty positions. My one friend was a very early access member and got like 5 or 6 codes so he gave them to us. We have a blast playing artillery and drinking. Just a bunch of grown men laughing like kids in our own parts of the world half drunk. A lot of good memories come from this game and my group of online friends.
I’m glad the community was touched on in this video. The hell let loose community is one of the best communities I’ve ever been a part of in a game. Extremely helpful, Extremely understanding, and they’re willing to lose a match to let someone try Commander for the first time. Every time I’ve seen this happen all squad leaders will pitch in tips to try to help and assist the new player trying commander.
I had this exact same idea for a game but the objectives were different. There was a commander and different squads with Sargents. And it was 50 vs 50. Almost exactly how I envisioned it. I even wrote down like a 3 page synopsis on how it would all work...
This game also does a nice thing that is every time you play a map the capture points are different, there are 5 sectors and every sector has 3 points, at the start of a game one point of each sector is randomly selected, which adds some variety
I've been playing this for months on PC, and am glad to see it embraced by console players. My buddies on the consoles are all enjoying it but the common complaint is the lack of mics.
This is one of the few games I’ve seen PC players genuinely happy for console players being able to play one of their games, which is very encouraging. By far one of the most helpful and mature gaming communities I’ve been a part of. Can’t wait to sink my teeth into this more.
I just bought this game and its great. Movement is different and the game feels a little clunky, but if you want a game that has massive scale WW2 combat, with realistic/immersive gameplay then you'll love this game. Its similar to Battlefield but A LOT more slow paced and you gotta play each spawn like its actual life. So no running out in middle of the field and Utilizing every cover. Communication with your teammates is key to having a good time. You can really get into it, if you find the right squad who also uses their mic to communicate. Very fun game in my opinion but definitely not for everyone.
This game looks really cool. I’m happy to spend time and learn the game. But as with any multiplayer game, I always worry that having bad team mates or a toxic community will ruin the experience. I hope nothing like that happens in this game
I've played this for a while, and the community is great, teamwork is essential so people are generally friendly. The only bad thing I heard was a commander and a squad leader having a heated argument, but nothing I'd describe as toxic. And if you don't want to hear that, just don't play as a squad leader.
@@mrsmodge6440 If you ask me that just adds to the experience, having the top boss argue with in-site people over what should be done seems hella cool. Btw, just because a game needs teamwork dont make the community cool, just look at LoL.
Love it but needs a tutorial for the new console players. I didn't know what the hell I was doing except running around shooting the enemy when I saw them 😂
first played the game a while ago always thought about just killing people but I learned over the time that I played its all about stratagy, either camping a spot, sticking with your squad, or better yet just all out war, love the game and honestly it does take time but if your a fast learner you can learn this game super super fast.
I have been playing it for about a year, and it has grown so much! There is no other feeling better than being a heavy gunner and screaming into your mic while your squad charges forward.
This game has got communication into a whole new level. Like man you get real chills when a squad leader tells you what to do while being shot at from a damn mg.
Absolutely love this game and how immersive it is. The only problem I have been having with it is exactly what happened at 1:45. The guy has his gun aimed through a crack in the rocks but if you notice his shots are not getting through and he is just shooting the rocks. Happens a lot when you are close to cover.
I've been playing it since this morning, trust us heavy on communication. Bring some friends and expect one of you to hopefully be the leader of your squad to make plays with other squads
Considering how using a VR headset even without VR makes things feel alot more life-sized (I.E a massive fish swims next to you in subnautica, it looks way larger than if you were looking at a TV even when you have to turn with the controller, not your head) and immersive.
Having so much fun in this game, Leading a squad tasked with defending the point and having waves of enemy and artillery explosions around you. While the rest of the team tries to take the next point. Holding on with a knife in your teeth. And succeeding. Moments like these is what makes this game amazing. Really love it Fun note: The maps are a 1:1 recreation of the actual area. They used old maps and such. The maps are amazing. (Especially when you have been to these places IRL)
I think its a good segway/gateway into more tactical shooters like squad. I definitely have a lot of fun playing. I was pretty bad at the beginning but as he suggested, it takes time to build your situational intuition for the scenarios you will encounter in this game.
I love it when I play any War game and people Role-play while fighting like in the movies Ima get the Game at Christmas and I can't wait! (Never mind im getting it this weekend if not it's Christmas I'm getting it then) Also I feel like if they did make it a bit cheaper or even free way more players would join in and play but even for the amount of money it is it's worth it
@HIGHKING GAMES on PC in my experience it just depends on the lobbies. Never any issue with rude or hateful people only lack of communication in lower pop servers. My experience has always been best waiting a few minutes in a queue people are alot more communicative and willing to help teach you the ropes
I first saw this and thought, yeah another ww2 game big deal. Played it and didn’t really like my first game but it was extremely immersive. Then asked for help and was hooked. Any role I’ve played people always help you and and once you get the basics down this game is seriously fun. My favourite shooter in a while!
When you can find a squad that communicates and work together this game is next level, I ended up in a tank squad with 2 extremely helpful players when I was new and honestly had some of the most fun moments I’ve had gaming in years This game has a learning curve but once it starts to click it’ll make you hope that the future holds more games like it
It has an RTS feel because the devs had Company of Heroes as an inspiration. Probably my favorite shooter at 100hours over the past year and half. And not stopping anytime soon! (also you've got a pretty good grasp on the game. Communication, map awareness, map control (garrisons), and very wide flanks are the essential bits to understand about Hell Let Loose.)
@@MaxskiSynths smoke, smoke, smoke, and when in doubt, machine gunner. you NEED suppressive fire to be well coordinated and fast to be able to operate on purple heart.
I've been playing it since it hit ps5 and it is one of the top games I've ever played. After the colossal fail that was the new battlefield, Hell Let Loose offers a better alternative than playing vanguard. It's vehicle combat needs some work but it's still in its infancy. Having to shift gears in the tanks and having to think about tactics when attacking an enemy tank makes that new level of realism that I didn't know I wanted!
I think as I’m getting older this is exactly the type of FPS games I’d enjoy. I don’t have that twitch shot ability anymore that I did 7 or 8 years ago. Slow paced and tactical gameplay like this looks fun.
@@ejofficialtv3289 I feel that I grew up running heavy cod and battlefield. Was nasty with those twitch shots but then I stopped playing for 5 odd years
been playing this game for a bit now and i must say that when you have a team that communicates and the teams are balanced and things are going back n forth in warfare and then win, you really have a statisfying sense of accomplishment as a group. this is very rare in a game and hell let loose does this really well. this game gets a 9/10 from me
Fair review. Played it for a while on pc and it's a lot of fun. Yes there's a learning curve but it's so worth it when you get up to speed. ........ Communication definitely important but you can usually swap to a squad with mics if you end up in a no chat group. .... Really hope it's successful on consoles. It deserves it and console players deserve a game like this too.
I remember one match we were 3 tigers tanks all coordinated as one with me being armor leader, pushing a spearhead through a smoke screen on FOY, we along with the infantry drove the Americans all the way back to spawn. The next round I was again Armor leader but in Normandy and with a convoy of Shermans
That is so interesting to me. As someone who loves a good tactical game, but doesn't really like PvP shooters that much, this could be my niche. If I can play as a Commander and tell others what to do, this seems perfect for me.
I only wish there weren't name markers above the player's head akin to Post-Scriptum and Squad. That little detail change amplifies the immersion considerably.
They converted it to console, and I’ll say. I’ve had this game on my radar for a while, watched gameplay all over UA-cam. Always wanted it, HLL recently went on sale and I decided to buy it. The experience is quite like no other. I’ve been gaming since a young age, anywhere between pc-steam, PlayStations, and Xbox’s. It literally feels like a WW2 simulator. Communication with not only your squad but your team too is crucial. Prox chat is amazing. Maps are super realistic made from satellite gps , the explosions are absolutely terrifying. The way body’s go limp when they’re shot, guns sound great and historic. Feels really good once you get comfortable with movement. If you love WW2 games. THIS GAME RIGHT HERE IS A PICKUP. Now, there’s ALOT more that I didn’t talk about but you will be walking and running and ducking your head alot. You will die.. ALOT. Do not give up, you’ll learn and appreciate the game for what it is My only absolute dislike about the game is literally vaulting/jumping over things. It’s kinda annoying but besides that, the game is what the title sounds like and is a experience everybody who loves games like this should try.
This game is really something different. I love how different it is from other shooters. Reminds me of the good old days of MOHHA and those shooters, not because of gameplay but the feeling that it evokes. I come from battlefield kind of games and it took me some time to realize that you can't just run around shooting...but once you grasp that, everything changes. From time to time I caught myself shooting bushes and random spots across the field. One bullet and you are a goner. I don't think that anything comes close to the map size of this game, it really represents the real world, i. This has so much competitive potential, just imagine a pro tournament with teams competing 50 vs 50.
After about 500 hours of this game, I can really say that I recommend it. The game cannot be played like for example cod or Battlefield, so if you are looking for such a game, this is not recommended. However, if you are looking for a game in the WWII setting that is easier than Squad but harder than Battlefield then this is the game for you! 10/10
i have just one problem with the game. I wish they had more number of players on both side. sometimes it feels like we are just running around and have nothing to shoot at and then suddenly someone snipes you from far away.
Pro tip: people are going to tell you to "play slow and cautious". Let me be the first to say, flank, flank and flank. You will destroy teams this way. Dont run into the choke and die over and over. The first time you get behind the other teams spawn and kill 15-20 people the instant they spawn you will be hooked.
tip master, I hate you for telling people to do this becuase it works LOL. Nothing is more frustrating than instantly getting shot without even knowing where it came from over and over again.
I've been wishing a game like this would come to console I was damn close to going PC just for this game, it takes patience and communication but playing a shooter that takes tactics and intelligence instead of just run and gun is what many have hoped they could find on console. With the right group this game is intense and gives you the feeling you really accomplished something when you take an objective.
It's one of those games where you just have to stick at it, you will quit for the day many times because of how much you die on average from just random artillery shells or snipers. Sometimes you can barely leave the spawn.
Literally best FPS . I’ve been playing games for a very long time and this might be the best FPS I’ve ever played. Especially right now, obviously blows COD and battlefield out of the water and even halo. This is like a hey battlefield we know what you got and we can do it better kind of things. Love the realism and how you have and I repeat HAVE to communicate. It’s so damn good. I go out of my way to post all about it on social media because I feel most don’t know about it. Amazing game
I saw my friend playing this.. wow.. just the weight and feel of things, Everything seemed to have weight and substance.. the explosions are just beautiful !
Been playing it on PC for a few months. The game is different than most FPS games as you HAVE to communicate or you wont have a good time. There is lots of fun to have woth friendly proximity chat, people playing songs, talking about random stuff, or just hollering at each other where enemies are, its chaotic. Then you have your squad chat, if you get a good squad, yall can work close and do some crazy stuff. Meanwhile if you are an officer, you get a headache from hearing the command chat with the other officers and commander, then your squad chat, and proximity chat. The only thing i wish they had was total proximity chat, where the enemy team could hear you and talk as well, would make things even more chaotic and fun. When you meet veteran players they will usually be the best squadmates.
One of those shooters where the actual ‘shooting’ part is a very small part of the game. Its not about the individual, its about what you do to support the team. Its not about your own gratification and killstreaks and a big pat on the back for having a high score. Its a shooter for adults.
This is a great game. Bought it and sunk 50 hours into it in the first few days. Soviet Content is amazing too. definitely worth the purchase if you can!
I love how immersive the game can be. The fact that you can get one shotted really makes every life valuable. I've never played a game where seeing a teammate go silent because he got his head blown off make me panic for my own life
For everyone watching and interested; USE YOUR MIC Being in a squad with mics is the way the game is played. Pc games like this strive because everyone uses mics and are social..console players have been left out for years from games like squad and arma Just use your mic and talk
One of the coolest parts of this game is the fact all the maps are made from Modern Satellite data and reconnaissance photos from WWII. You are inhabiting the actual battlefields not just a level designers take on the map.
Real battlefields arent balanced, ofc they have to change the map so its more balamced. Its not an exact copy of the real maps
The maps are not balanced in HLL, depend on map/objective other team has advantice. Like it was in WW2.
@@Swisshost um I've been playing for years and what you are saying is untrue, just within the last year they had to change up Utah Beach to give the US side a better chance to actually pass the first objective.

Even being "bad" at FPS you can still have a huge impact on the game by playing engineer, medic, or support. Engineers build nodes that give the commander resources. Medics can revive and heal people. Support can drop supplies to build garrisons.
Don't forget being the engineer that builds defences
You can also run a logistics truck and do supply runs to keep the team supplied to construct Garrisons and other stuff.
I've spent 90 minute games simply playing Medic or AT and just defending myself and doing my job. Just as exciting as when I'm a rifleman or machine gunner.
Or as an MG player giving enemy suppression which really blinds them in this or TANK crew guy or spamming arty.
Or run machine gunner and fire endlessly into smoke as your teams hold/advances

Played on PC and the moment that made me fall in love with the game was when my squad was sent ahead to hold an intersection. We met an enemy squad and I was the only survivor and our squad spawn was destroyed. So I set up in the attic of a building looking at a field then I see about 20 Germans sprinting across. I set up my bipod and just mowed them down. I held that position down long enough for reinforcements until a Pather sent a shell straight through my head.
its thing like that that make this game brilliant, or seeing an enemy tanks turret slowly turn towards you and stop
Nah none of that happened

You should try Squad, its kind of the same but based in modern times instead of WWII

You really have to earn that satisfaction
I only have 1 hour of free time ;-;
It really is, just see the souls saga, you can style on when you know you are doing, feel like a god... but at the start the first real boss may take you 8 tries.
Hell Let Loose is everything Battlefield claimed to be before it went full Micheal Bay.
XD
Is this PvE? Or PVP or both?

I’m so relieved you all like it 😅
Just recently hit 1,000 hours in-game, & HLL and its community got me through lockdown.
Running so (realistically) slowly will be weird but you just might come to love the different kind of gameplay it allows
And read the weekly dev briefs!
hahah after 2 battles I started belly crawling in the grass every where i went XD

I mean, it's basically just a slightly more arcade-y version of Squad set in WW2.
If you're a WW2 buff it's really cool to see some of the environments and battles represented so well.

Honestly it’s more similar to battlefield than it is any mil sim game.
i have just one problem with the game.

Trueeee
its all fun and games until you flank into the mg42 and sprays you down lol
It's true. One player in the middle of the enemy team in a good position can create a lot of confusion.
tip master, I hate you for telling people to do this becuase it works LOL.
Nothing is more frustrating than instantly getting shot without even knowing where it came from over and over again.
Honestly one of the most enjoyable elements of this game is the interaction with everyone you play with
I've been wishing a game like this would come to console I was damn close to going PC just for this game, it takes patience and communication but playing a shooter that takes tactics and intelligence instead of just run and gun is what many have hoped they could find on console. With the right group this game is intense and gives you the feeling you really accomplished something when you take an objective.
It's one of those games where you just have to stick at it, you will quit for the day many times because of how much you die on average from just random artillery shells or snipers. Sometimes you can barely leave the spawn.
Flame thrower needs a buff, feels super underwhelming
True "Rising Storm red Orchestra" did it way better, also "Rising Storm 2 Vietnam" way more satisfying in those games
Ngl, with a whole squad talking and working together.. One of the best fps exprience ive ever had.. Maybe even the best.
See you on the frontline! o7
One of those shooters where the actual ‘shooting’ part is a very small part of the game. Its not about the individual, its about what you do to support the team. Its not about your own gratification and killstreaks and a big pat on the back for having a high score. Its a shooter for adults.
I just got a series x and this was my first download, it's challenging and exciting. Has a learning curve but I'm still having a blast playing it.
This is a great game. Bought it and sunk 50 hours into it in the first few days. Soviet Content is amazing too. definitely worth the purchase if you can!
I’ve played it for literally just a few hours and already love it
I love how immersive the game can be. The fact that you can get one shotted really makes every life valuable. I've never played a game where seeing a teammate go silent because he got his head blown off make me panic for my own life
That moment in the very beginning of the video like at the 55 second mark where the grenade landed basically right on top of you I screamed
This is the perfect blend between arcade and mil sim imo
For everyone watching and interested; USE YOUR MIC
Being in a squad with mics is the way the game is played. Pc games like this strive because everyone uses mics and are social..console players have been left out for years from games like squad and arma
Just use your mic and talk
I don't have ...
I love these types of military strategy games.
HLL is my steady game that I keep coming back to. The PC community is great and playing different roles and working as a team is awesome.
