Utterly wonderful. I was there, and I remember vividly. I don't think I have ever heard a more "giving" musician on stage; one felt a complete and direct communication. That, and the fact that she was so naturally and fantastically gifted a pianist. She also NEVER played safe, everything was about the moment and risking everything to put the music across as powerfully and intensely as possible.
thank you Joyce. wish i had been.. its so wonderful to be there and when you meet someone who was, even by you tube, its gets you somehow a little bit closer...
@@eytonshalomsandiego Thank you SO much for this. It has made my day and I am so sorry that I have only just seen it. What a wonderfully supportive and kind thing to write. My best wishes.
Inspirierende live Aufführung dieses romantischen Meisterwerks im gut phrasierten Tempo mit anmutigen Töne des Klaviers und perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Echt unvergleichliche Pianistin!
for me by far the best version of Kinderszenen....dont know if Barenboim studied with her, but his is the only version of the first one i have heard that also take its time and expresses, also excellent..his version of the the whole thing sounds eeriely like hers, i cant listen to most other pianists perform this...virtuosi seem to have a hard time sometimes touching the emotion of simpler music, like the first prelude in C of bach they all rush through, or Erik Satie...
i went to so many of her london recitals, they were such special occasions
La musicalidad de esta mujer es increíble.
